[ JOB LISTING ] Inventory Manager [ DIFFICULTY LEVEL ] gaia_stargaia_stargaia_star [ TASK ] Monitor and list all incoming and outgoing inventory.
"Okay, look," Adelaide seems very irritated. "We just had two trucks come in and drop off their goods. Those nincompoops," she points at two part-timers, "unloaded everything without marking things down." Eight large boxes are sitting on the dock.
She hands you a clip-board. "I need you to check each box's invoice and decide where it goes. If the invoice says 'Cavalry' you just put an X here," she points to the bottom left corner of the paper, "and have those boobs stack it over there. Don't actually count Cavalry boxes in the total number of boxes on the form. If it says anything else on the box, I need you to open it and make sure the invoice matches. Fill out your report when you're done."
Roll 8 d4: These are the boxes, and there are 8 of them. For each box follow the instructions below and RP accordingly. --If you roll doubles, it means you have two of that particular box and need to follow it's instructions twice. Same with triples, etc.
This box says it holds one complete silver dinner set. Roll 1 d10 to see what's missing.
-----If you roll a: -------1. Everything is there. -------2. It is missing the gravy boat. -------3. Two spoons are no where to be found. -------4. One serving platter is listed, but not in the box. -------5. Three forks have magically disappeared. -------6. One spoon and on butter knife are missing. -------7. Everything is there. -------8. Two plates are missing. -------9. There are NO forks in this set. WHAT?! -------10. Everything is there, but the large serving platter has a huge gouge on it. Best make a note.
This box is supposed to hold on large grandfather clock. Best check for damages. Roll 1 d6. If even it's in perfect condition. If odd the glass on the front is broken. You had better make a note.
Three large tapestries from the year 1400. Roll 1 d4. If you roll a 1 or 2, one tapestry is missing. If you roll a 3, they all have water damage. If you roll a 4, everything looks good!
This box is labeled "Cavalry". No need to check the contents, simply RP ordering the part-timers to stack it in the corner.
When you are done checking all 4 boxes, fill out the form below and post it in your last post.
"Thank you," Adelaide says as you hand over your form.

Oh paperwork, this was something Terr didn't have any issues with. Of course it can prove to be tedious but Terr was capable of focusing his attention on his work to the exclusion of all things else. Like eating, sleeping, and sometimes hygiene. So when he was tasked to take inventory of only eight boxes, all the Death Horseman did was crack his knuckles and rotate his writing wrist.
The first box was opened and he saw that what it contained was a large grandfather clock. Terr may have spent more time than necessary but he had to make sure there was nothing wrong with it. Once it passed inspection, he proceeded to open the second box.

When the box was opened, Terr nearly fainted when he saw the awful amount of tapestry destruction that lay within. He staggered, feeling light headed but he pushed past his dizziness to note that all the tapestries exhibited water damage.
At least the next box of tapestries were pristine and undamaged.

The second grandfather clock also proved to be in pristine condition. And because Terr had a point of reference, he know what to look for. But that didn't mean he simply skimmed. He was still meticulously checking every just to be sure.
Terr's expression did not change, even when he found the dinner set was missing two plates. He did make sure to note the failure and include a little remark that whoever was packing the box be severely reprimanded.

The box marked Cavalry was dealt with as ordered, leaving Terr free to check the box after that. The Death Horseman didn't know if a missing tapestry was as bad as the first box of tapestry's fate.
The box at the very bottom of the pile was inspected. And thankfully the clock within was unscathed.
Now that all eight boxes and their contents were accounted for, Terr filled up the form as requested.
