After his failed attempt at loan sharking Cain was back at Bates Diagnostics. The place honestly the only one yet for 'jobs' that held his interest. The idea of making something that could be useful for them was just to appealing. So here he was, Asahi as well and they were heading in for another go. Again paperwork was give, the standard, then they were hurried away to the lab. It was there that Cain picked his new specimen, at first a mouse was presented but Cain passed it up. He wanted to try something bigger this time, bigger than a mouse or a chicken.
This line of thought lead the Death Guardian to the chimpanzee, a quick moment to prepare the chimpanzee then he began. The chemicals this time were different, even if his last had been kind of a success in his book he wanted to try something new. New was always more fun. A touch of this and that into a vial and Cain got a runny, dim green, mixture. It likely wasn't smiled upon but he took a small whiff of the chemical, nose curing afterward when the scent of boggy swamp tainted nostrils.
Cain snorted to try to clear out his nose for a moment and turned to Asahi in warning, "..don't smell them.." He whispered for just the other horseman to hear then chuckled at himself. A moment to clean up space and he was ready to work again, checking first the vitals of the chimp, they looked fine, for now. It was time to administer the concoction, this done carefully as possible.
When the last of the concoction was delivered into the chimp Cain took a step back, watching wide eyed for a moment. It was a sort of childish thrill to be witnessing such a thing, well, if it worked. Nervous energy had fingers tapping against the top of his work space. Then it happened, the vital signs slowed until they remained low enough to be considered an induced coma. Cain couldn't help but wear a grin larger than he should with the results. He had done it, sort of.
"...Well." Cain beamed proudly and turned to check on his friend before filling out the little slip of paperwork they had be given in the start. This was definitely his type of job.
