[ JOB LISTING ] Inventory Manager [ DIFFICULTY LEVEL ] gaia_stargaia_stargaia_star [ TASK ] Monitor and list all incoming and outgoing inventory.
"Okay, look," Adelaide seems very irritated. "We just had two trucks come in and drop off their goods. Those nincompoops," she points at two part-timers, "unloaded everything without marking things down." Eight large boxes are sitting on the dock.
She hands you a clip-board. "I need you to check each box's invoice and decide where it goes. If the invoice says 'Cavalry' you just put an X here," she points to the bottom left corner of the paper, "and have those boobs stack it over there. Don't actually count Cavalry boxes in the total number of boxes on the form. If it says anything else on the box, I need you to open it and make sure the invoice matches. Fill out your report when you're done."
Roll 8 d4: These are the boxes, and there are 8 of them. For each box follow the instructions below and RP accordingly. --If you roll doubles, it means you have two of that particular box and need to follow it's instructions twice. Same with triples, etc.
This box says it holds one complete silver dinner set. Roll 1 d10 to see what's missing.
-----If you roll a: -------1. Everything is there. -------2. It is missing the gravy boat. -------3. Two spoons are no where to be found. -------4. One serving platter is listed, but not in the box. -------5. Three forks have magically disappeared. -------6. One spoon and on butter knife are missing. -------7. Everything is there. -------8. Two plates are missing. -------9. There are NO forks in this set. WHAT?! -------10. Everything is there, but the large serving platter has a huge gouge on it. Best make a note.
This box is supposed to hold on large grandfather clock. Best check for damages. Roll 1 d6. If even it's in perfect condition. If odd the glass on the front is broken. You had better make a note.
Three large tapestries from the year 1400. Roll 1 d4. If you roll a 1 or 2, one tapestry is missing. If you roll a 3, they all have water damage. If you roll a 4, everything looks good!
This box is labeled "Cavalry". No need to check the contents, simply RP ordering the part-timers to stack it in the corner.
When you are done checking all 4 boxes, fill out the form below and post it in your last post.
"Thank you," Adelaide says as you hand over your form.

Three large tapestries from the year 1400. One tapestry is missing.
Ellaren considered the clipboard in her hands, the part timers who had messed up such an easy task, and finally the piles of boxes she was expected to go through to make up for their mess. She wasn't sure whether to be irritated with their inefficiency, as Adelaide seemed to be, or pleased that they had given her the chance to take on the job. Perhaps there were worse things, than being paid to settle someone else's simple mistakes.
She glanced over to where Mukei had begun going through his own boxes, keeping a watchful eye on how well the part timers were listening to him, and then satisfied enough with what she saw, turned to get to her own work. The first box she opened contained tapestries, old and beautiful. But when she checked the tag, she realized there was a problem. There were supposed to be three here, not the two she had. Golden eyes narrowing, she marked it on her clipboard and moved on.
4. This box is labeled "Cavalry". No need to check the contents, simply order the part-timers to stack it in the corner.
2. This box is supposed to hold one large grandfather clock. The glass on the front is broken. You had better make a note.
Before she could get into the second box, she realized it had the word 'Cavalry' stamped across it. Adelaide had had very specific directions for how to deal with that, hadn't she? Ellaren considered a moment, then turned towards the part timers she'd taken charge of. "You there," she hadn't bothered to get their names, now that she thought about it, but it hardly mattered. "Take this box and stack it in that corner. Carefully." She stared him down a moment more, making sure he followed directions, and then turned back.
There was another box here that had been under that one. One grandfather clock, the listing said, and as she pulled it open to double check, she found that to be accurate. Unfortunately, it was apparent no one had bothered to be careful with handling it. The glass front of the clock lay in broken shards. The horseman marked it on her clipboard with another disappointed huff.
1. This box says it holds one complete silver dinner set. Everything is there.
After how much had been wrong with the other two boxes, Ellaren didn't have high hopes that they'd managed to get every piece of a dinner set here together. She sighed and counted through anyway, just to be sure, and then paused and recounted. Everything was here. Huh. At least someone in this process had managed to get something right. She marked it down approvingly.

4. This box is labeled "Cavalry". No need to check the contents, simply order the part-timers to stack it in the corner.
Ellaren could tell just by looking at the size of the thing that this was likely supposed to be another one of those grandfather clocks, like tha one she'd just found broken. The dinner set being left intact had left her a little more willing to believe the possibility that perhaps one clock had made it without being damaged, but there was no way to be sure until she'd opened it up for a look. She did so as quickly and efficiently as possible, glanced over as much of the clock as she could, and then nodded her satisfaction with its state. It was perfect.
The box beside it, she saw as she stood from closing the clock's box back up, was marked Cavalry. Something else she wasn't to deal with. She couldn't help wondering what exactly was in there as she ordered one of the part timers over to begin moving it to its designated corner. She put down an X on her paper and shrugged it off. There was still work to finish.

Another dinner set to count through. Ellaren pulled the box open carefully, making sure that it would be easy enough to close up when she was done, and pulled the pieces out one by one, checking it by the listed inventory. Everything seemed to be in order, except...Ah. There was a missing serving platter, wasn't there? She shook her head, marking it down and repacking the items. The only box left after it was designated 'Cavalry'. That was just another X on her paper and a wave to the part timer. Easy enough. She stood to walk towards the others, going over what she had written to double check it.

Your Signature: -Ellaren
Ellaren went over what she had written one more time before scribbling down her signature and passing it over to Adelaide with a short description of the damages done to the clock and the goods missing from which boxes. Only once she was sure she had finished up her job properly did she move over towards Mukei, leaning over him to see if he'd filled out the paper on his clipboard just as well. And, admittedly, she was a bit curious if as many of his boxes had been damaged or incomplete. "Were you sure not to count the boxes marked for the cavalry?" It seemed he had been, going by the numbers on his sheet, so she nodded before even waiting for him to answer her himself.
On their other side, Ilker was beginning to go through another pile of boxes that hadn't been properly handled yet, so she turned her head to watch a moment. Honestly, with all these boxes she wasn't sure how these part timers still had jobs. From the look on Adelaide's face earlier, perhaps they wouldn't for long, though. "You seem to be doing well at these human jobs so far." She said after a moment, glancing back down at the young horseman. "Perhaps," she continued, an amused smile appearing across her face, "you should give Ilker some pointers."
After how he'd taken his failure at the bank earlier, it would no doubt be amusing to watch that interaction.
After the Bank Teller situation, Ilker was feeling less interested in any of the part time jobs offered. Nevertheless, he needed some source of income as well as better clothes than the ice blue shirt and black pants he wore every day when not at work. After being briefed on what to do with the boxes, he glanced over at Ellaren and Mukei, both of which whom were finished. On his way to check the last 8 boxes, he heard-- What. Ilker narrowed his eyes at the Famine horsewoman, clenching his jaw in displeasure as she mocked him from a distance. Oh, please. She was doing this to annoy him, that much was obvious.
Still didn't mean it didn't annoy him. He glanced at Mukei before rolling his eyes and clicking his tongue. "Oh, shove it, Ella." He seethed, deciding to save time by inspecting all the boxes at once and jotting down which was of what type. He glanced at the Cavalry box, squinting at it before motioning for a few part timers to pass by. "Hey. Over here." He pointed at the box, pointed at the other cavalry boxes, then shooed them to work while he investigated the others. They... still... seemed... lost... Ilker groaned. "Take this, put it there. Carefully. Then just stand attentive."Idiots. He'd show Ella he was ******** great at this, that was for sure.

Now it was time to go over the 'full' dining sets. Ignoring the obvious amusement on Ellaren's face, Ilker continued to do his job, now revising the dinner sets and having his part timers count everything as he checked in on them little by little. "Hey, mister--" Ilker turned toward him, purple eyes narrowed into a glare. The kid gulped, tugging at his collar. The Death horseman rolled his eyes. "What is it?""T-two plates are missing." Ilker's jaw tensed. "Thank you for that note." He jotted it down into his report, and before long another part timer came up to him letting him know that the second box had no forks whatsoever. Who even sent these??

Grandfather clocks. It didn't take much to notice out of four antiques, only one survived. The other three's windows were broken. After scribbling down a notice in his report, the black haired man pushed his hair behind his ear before focusing on the next problem...
