Eirian was on a mission as they walked around the Academy's campus. They had seen a show done by a particularly amazing chimera and was determined to meet him. Eirian's friends had teased them about stalking this guy, but they weren't!

They didn't look them up online unlike a lot of others would have. (Okay, so they had thought about it but couldn't remember the exact spelling of his name.) Eirian was simply hoping to stumble across him at the Academy. They had heard from one of the other people in the local cafe that the chimera went here... So chances were good?

Eirian just hadn't been able to get the chimera's songs out of their head after they heard him. They tried to tell him after the gig but he seemed to have fled as soon as he was off the stage. Eirian had decided he probably didn't want to get pounced by fans.

Eirian popped their head around a corner one last time before they had to get on to other things when they finally spotted the chimera. "Target spotted," Eirian whispered to themselves as they calmly made their way over to the mysterious musician.

Aren had just left his math class, book bag in tow. He had a quiz today, a pop quiz to be exact. Even though he was the first to finish his test he had to wait until a couple others got up and turned theirs in before he did. He tried his best to blend in at all times. Though this did leave him with plenty of time to think about things in his life. His show had once again gone off without a hitch so many adoring fans.

Aren loved his music he poured his heart and soul into every word he wrote. He was even singing to himself now. Trying to perfect a hit that would show a softer side to his rocker persona. "Count your blessings every day, it makes the monsters go away.Everything will be okay, you are not alone. You are right at home. Goodnight." It was still a bit raw and maybe to preachy but he was sure the parents in his audience would like it.

He was off in his own little word singing softly to himself as he hurried under the branches of a willow tree and pulled out his guitar. Plucking a few chords he messed with the words he had been singing a little bit. "You won't need me forever, but I'll still be here.For we all have our nightmares, even me my dear." perhaps he thought nightmares wasn't the right choice of words, after all, he didn't want to sound like the nightmares that came to his shows were bad. He adjusted himself slightly to let the guitar rest more comfortably and so he was able to reach the lyrics he had set on the ground in front of him.

As Eirian moved closer they could hear quiet singing and the soft strums on the guitar; the chimera seemed to be in a world of his own. It wasn't until that moment that Eirian thought maybe this wasn't the best time. It seemed a shame to interrupt him when he was sounding so gentle. But if not now then when, a side of themselves asked. Fair point.

They approached until they were just close enough to talk and took a deep breath before speaking. "Hi, um, you're Aren, right?" Eirian pronounced the name hesitantly, relying on their memory of last night's announcement to lead their tongue. "I'm Eirian. I saw your show last night but didn't get a chance to tell you how great it was." They smiled brightly at the chimera, hoping they didn't come off as creepy.

Aren was visibly startled by the voice. His hands leapt up from his guitar. To cover his face, too late. He was clearly recognized. Slowly he pulled is hand down from his face and began to look around. There didn't seem to be a clear, escape route. His eyes widened and a lump formed in his throat. He nodded hoping that the simple acknowledgment would be enough and the few would be on their way.

Aren took this time to eye the one in front of him, seemed to be a pretty outgoing Fey. To follow him into the branches of a willow and approach him so crassly. He took his time slowly packing up his guitar. He couldn't run away and leave it here now, could he? He hoped if he didn't make too much eye contact they would just go away.

Eirian was a bit startled by Aren's reaction. Apparently despite their best effort they had scared him. Thankfully Aren regain himself enough to acknowledge Eirian's words with a nod. They smiled broadly before noticing Aren start to pack up his guitar. He was obviously aiming to leave.

"Oh man, I'm really sorry," Eirian said, kneeling down to be face to face with Aren. "You don't have to pack up. I didn't mean to interrupt you. I just--" Eirian looked around, at a loss of what to do. "I really butchered this." They let out a heavy sigh. Eirian felt really bad about upsetting the musician. "I came off as a stalker, didn't I? I swear I'm not a bad person. I only wanted to talk to you. Your music really struck me, y'know?"
