Using one of the prompts below, write a roleplay response that is at minimum 250 words in length. You are not allowed to edit your entry once you've posted it. We will not accept tiered entries.

        Quote:

Your best friend has just dropped a huge problem on your lap. They are a Geist who grew up in Geist territory, where thievery is part of the norm! The only problem is, you now live in Asphodel, and Demons typically do not like it when their things go missing. Your friend was trying to flirt with a potential partner and stole something precious of theirs! But they misinterpreted what was going on and now they are angry with your friend. How do you console them? Do you console them? What do you do about it at all?

        Quote:

Your precious familiar is very sick, and it's looking terminal. The local veterinarian says there is nothing they can do about it, but you're determined to find a way to help your pet through this. What do you do? Do you take matters into your own hand and see if you can use healing magic, or travel elsewhere to see if another vet can help you?

        Quote:

You're late to work, something that may or may not be normal for you. On your way there, you notice a stranger collapsed in an alleyway. What do you do? Do you help them, and potentially get in trouble with your boss? Do you call for help? Or maybe you ignore them entirely...?

        Quote:

You're about to ask someone out. Whether it be on a platonic friend date, or something more serious, you surely have a plan... right? What are you going to do to garner the attention of your special someone?

Prompt:You're about to ask someone out. Whether it be on a platonic friend date, or something more serious, you surely have a plan... right? What are you going to do to garner the attention of your special someone?

Prompt Response: Reginald paced back and forth practically wearing a hole into the ground below him. What if they didn't show! What if his whole plan went up in smoke simply by being stood up on the walk to lunch the walk that he was going to use as a cover story to ask him to go on a date; date. No more of this hiding behind the premise of studying. No more trying to lure them into to noticing him with treats! Soon he would bear his heart and soul to him. Regi didn't have anything super grand or terribly elaborate in mind. He wanted to keep things cool relaxed and casual, he didn't want to scare them away before they had the chance to even go on a first date! He figured once they sat down to eat together like they did most days he would point out how much Regi enjoyed his company. How he spent every waking moment picturing them with beautiful kids. Maybe he wouldn't go that far.

Sitting at the edge of his seat and getting up anytime anyone passed him in hoping that they might be him Regi began to become nervous. What if they didn't like him? What if they wanted this to stay as it always was, what if Regi was about to tell his feelings to someone who wasn't that into him? Oh the anxiety of waiting. That was until he showed up a fluttering feeling arose from Regi's belly. This was it, tell him your true feelings, tell him you booked a dinner date at a super expensive restaurant, no pressure though, and hope for the best. He held his breath for a second before sitting down across from a gorgeous being in the history of ever.

Prompt Response: Kai was reading next to the fountain, he dipped his hand in every once in a while to feel the coolness on his skin. He touched the amulet around his neck happy that he din't have to fully climb in the fountain and soak as he had seen some others of his kind have to do that was when he was met with quite a frantic voice behind him. "I really messed up Kai, like bad soo bad!" Kai rolled his eyes and slowly turned his head to see the face of his best friend. "What did you do now hmm?" His freind looked down at the base of the fountain and sighed deeply. "It's that stupid girl. She's always taunting me with the way she bats her eyes and.. well you've seen it, Kai, she's all over me. So naturally, I steal the necklace around her neck. You know like we all do, it's how you show someone you like them. Ya' Know?" Kai raised an eyebrow at this. "Why would you steal something from her? Don't you know you're supposed to find the prettiest pearl in all of the world and give it to her when she's not looking? If she guesses it's you it's meant to be. That's what my family has been doing for centuries. Never fails." To this Ty scoffed, "that's not how we do it. I was just doing what i've always seen done boy oh boy was she mad though, I don't know what to do!"

Kai turned his torso toward his friend "Did you apologize?" Ty nodded "Of course I did, I made her upset and she started to yell at me so I said 'I'm sorry geesh okay! Here is your stupid necklace' and I left" Kai chuckled and shook his head slapping his hand down on his friend's shoulder. "You and I both know that isn't a real apology, I say you go apologize for real this time. Explain to her your culture and where you were coming from, and then go hide a pearl somewhere she is going to find." Ty laughed "Okay i'll do it, not the pearl thing though... I think I'll get her flower or something less creepy." "It is NOT creepy!" Kai growled and to this Ty laughed "Sure it's not buddy... sure..."

Prompt: You're late to work, something that may or may not be normal for you. On your way there, you notice a stranger collapsed in an alleyway. What do you do? Do you help them, and potentially get in trouble with your boss? Do you call for help? Or maybe you ignore them entirely...?

Prompt Response: The Naiad had woken up to a feeling of dread, and as soon as he saw the clock next to his bed his fears were confirmed. He had slept past his alarm, and was already ten minutes late for work. Muttering curses to himself, the boy rushed, throwing on anything that didn't smell too bad. He hated being late. He hated making friends wait, or letting someone down when he said he would be somewhere, or just in general missing out on something when he wanted to be there for it. In only ten minutes the naiad had thrown on some clothes, had his toothbrush still sticking out of his mouth, and was jogging down the street.

The boy's eyes paused for a second on the convenient store where he usually bought a morning drink, when he wasn't late, and he felt the yearning for a hot cup of tea. It was while he was debating weather tea was worth being even later for when he saw an odd shape in the ally-way. It moved, and let out a groan. The naiad cursed his luck, and jogged over to the distressed shape. "Hey! You! Talk to me!" The boy said as he knelled down to get a look at whoever was in the predicament. The naiad gasped and pulled away as he got a glimpse of the obviously in pain nightmare. The hurt person made another groan and the boy leaned back in, pushing a hand to the person's forehead, finding it clammy and cold. "Wait right here!" The boy yelled as he got up and ran into the convenient store. Quickly he yelled for someone to call the police, and then get him some water. There was a hurt person outside! They needed help!

The naiad grabbed a towel off the shelf, promising behind himself as he left that he would pay for it, and ran back to the hurt nightmare. "Hey! Talk to me! Whats wrong? Im here, okay? Help is coming!" The boy pushed the towel to the other's forehead to wipe away the cold sweat. He held the person's hand, comforting them as they waited for help to arrive. Finally, after what felt like forever, help came, and the naiad stepped back as the professionals took it from there. The hurt nightmare waved weakly to the boy as they were taken away, and the naiad watched as the emergency vehicle rushed away.

He felt, odd. He didnt know who that was, what had happened, or why they were like that, and it left him feeling an odd sense of empty. That feeling of dread he had had earlier was finally gone, and the naiad sat down on a nearby bench. Life felt surreal. He no longer felt the need to rush to work, someone's life had been in his hands, work felt so hallow and unimportant now. It was while the boy was contemplating all of this that he made a decision that made his heart feel light. He didnt really enjoy his job as a cashier for a nearby store, and he felt a sense of higher calling, a sense of wanting to actually help others in a more meaningful way. The nightmare felt a sort of epiphany, and a grin spread onto his face as he realized that he wanted to help people, he wanted to become someone who could do more than just hold a hand to comfort someone, he wanted to save people.

Prompt: Your precious familiar is very sick, and it's looking terminal. The local veterinarian says there is nothing they can do about it, but you're determined to find a way to help your pet through this. What do you do? Do you take matters into your own hand and see if you can use healing magic, or travel elsewhere to see if another vet can help you?

Prompt Response:
Something was wrong with Franklin. Glacier knew that this was the case, but they didn’t know what was wrong…or how to help. Franklin had been with Glacier since the first day they entered the academy, a gift from their mother. A gift of a cute, fluffy Fennekit, a pet to call their own.

The two of them had been through everything together. Life in the Academy, graduating the Academy, and even the short time spent at Asterion studing law, before finally realizing that they couldn’t handle the stress of the college and dropped out.

And now…

And now something was wrong with Franklin…and Glacier had no idea what to do.

This wasn’t something that they could take care of on their own, so after finding enough money, a trip to the vet was arranged…but the news from the vet was about as unwelcome as anything.

There was nothing to be done.

At first, this morbid diagnosis was met with anger, and then a heavy round of despair, and finally a wave of hopelessness that Glacier didn’t think they’d be able to get out of this black mood…but…

But maybe…maybe they could do something. Magic had never been quite their strongest attribute…but there was nothing like duress to push one to their limits, right? But…if this didn’t work…there wasn’t much else that could be done…maybe…another vet would be able to help?

But another vet would cost money that was even more in short supply…so the best thing Glacier could do was hasten to the nearest library and try do cram in some sort of research on some kind of healing spell…anything. Anything that would help Franklin...

After an hour of looking, Glacier thought…or rather—hoped that they had found a spell that might do something. So home they went, utterly dismayed that Franklin looked so much worse than when they had left to find some sort of magic to help…but now wasn’t the time to think about that. Now wasn’t the time to dwell on things that were so negative. Now was the time to put all they had into saving Franklin.

Glacier did. Glacier gave all they had, but magic had never been their forte. And…sometimes things just…couldn’t be fixed.

It was times like this, when life threw such a terrible thing at a person…that someone could really figure out how to grow. And after taking care of Franklin, Glacier went to the community college and signed up for the nursing program. There was a reason to do this, and it was more than having a steady paying job. They wanted to help save people. Help save people who couldn’t save themselves…help save people in the name of Franklin, the one that they couldn’t save.

But. They had tried. And sometimes trying was all that could be done.

Prompt: You're late to work, something that may or may not be normal for you. On your way there, you notice a stranger collapsed in an alleyway. What do you do? Do you help them, and potentially get in trouble with your boss? Do you call for help? Or maybe you ignore them entirely...?

Prompt Response: Shomir swore quietly but forcefully under his breath. First day of work at the only place that had been willing to hire him, and he was late! Why on this day of all days had his alarm betrayed him?! He broke into a jog, but just as he passed an alleyway, something compelled him to stop and backpedal. At first he couldn't see what had gotten his attention when he noticed twisted and broken glasses frames lying near what he realized was a person. He bit his lip. He didn't know how to contact his job to let them know what had happened--if he could do that, he could have just called in to explain why he was late.

But he could do one thing, and took out his cellphone to call emergency services. He grit his teeth when the dispatcher told him to check on the person and see if they were still breathing, but he went to do so.

"Yes." He intoned after a few moments. "Their breathing is...uh...short and uneven. I think someone must have attacked them. No, I can't stay with them, I'm already late for work. Just please get paramedics here as soon as you can." He hung up before they could deliver further instructions and left at a sprint, tears welling in his eyes against his will. He felt awful for leaving them, but if he didn't keep this job then he would have to go back to thievery and he didn't want that life anymore.

Prompt: You're late to work, something that may or may not be normal for you. On your way there, you notice a stranger collapsed in an alleyway. What do you do? Do you help them, and potentially get in trouble with your boss? Do you call for help? Or maybe you ignore them entirely...?

Prompt Response: They were late, again. Staying up ‘til the wee hours of the morning, and then trying to get up at a semi-decent time to make it to work for their 8 o’clock shift had never been a bright thing to do, but was something that occurred on a semi-regular basis anyway. To be quite honest, they weren’t entirely sure why they hadn’t been kicked out the door of their job long before this. They contemplated the possible reasons they hadn’t been fired yet and decided the most likely reason was because a lot of nightmares were coming to the gym to get training from them specifically.

They’d sent a quick text to their boss, telling them they’d be there, if a bit late, then beat it out the door with minimal prep. Just a splash of water in their face in lieu of washing it, scrub their teeth, swap their pajamas for their normal work attire and then grab a piece of fruit on the way out of the door. They wish they could say that they normally took the scenic route to work, past all the cute stores and cafes, but more often than not they were cutting through alleyways and haphazardly crossing streets to make it to work in the least amount of time possible.

Today was one of the unlucky days, there was another person collapsed halfway in the alleyway. The first couple times this had happened, they had been all aflutter with worry. They’d gone out of their way to try and help the unfortunate soul however they could. Most the time it ended with calling the emergency line and trying their best to make sure that everything was alright while waiting for them to arrive. Unfortunately, that had gotten old fast. Sure, they still called the emergency hotline whenever it happened, but they were no longer quite so flustered. The first aid course they’d taken ages ago had to be one of the best investments they’d made. They whipped out their phone, already dialing the number as they knelt to check the poor nightmare that had collapsed this time. Looked to just be someone who got a bit too tipsy and had decided to sleep it off here.

With a sigh, they got up and finished jogging to the end of the alley. They could direct the officials from there, and then be that much closer to getting to work. Another text to their boss, and they gave a deep heartfelt sigh. They were going to be extraordinarily late instead of just a little, weren’t they? Maybe they should invest in a personal portal; that would probably solve their late issue. At least, they hoped so.

Prompt: You're about to ask someone out. Whether it be on a platonic friend date, or something more serious, you surely have a plan... right? What are you going to do to garner the attention of your special someone?

Prompt Response: There was a fine art to friendship. Too much attention sent the wrong message, but too little attention and the friendship withered before it could flourish. Texting or calling was fine, but sometimes you just needed that face-to-face interaction. Occasionally he craved the attention, and affection, that he could get from them. However, he didn’t like to spend too much time with his friends. He felt like a black sheep, with the way he frequently needed to recharge after interacting with others, but his friends were always very considerate about his needs. That was why he’d planned this ‘date’, per say. Truly, he just wanted to spend some quality time with his two best friends, but this would be a special occasion! He’d laid out all the plans and put aside today to set everything up. A call to both of their works, with the pleasing news he had, was enough to get them the next few days off as a surprise.

A sly grin curled his mouth, and he got to work setting everything up. A note written with as much pomp and flourish as he could, on stationary bought for this specific purpose, was the first step. Next was making sure is house was as clean as could be, running all his blankets through the washer and dryer, vacuuming, washing and putting away the dishes, basic house tidying really. He checked to make sure he had ingredients for most of the dishes they liked to make together stocked up. A quick list with things they would definitely need, popcorn, snacks, a couple more drinks, would help him not forget anything when he made the last grocery run on the way back from delivering the letters.

After checking that everything was in its place, and clean, he grabbed the letters and made his way out the door. Time to make these deliveries. He was practically purring, he was so pleased with himself. They’d never expect something like this from him. He visited each of their houses, proudly presenting his invitation. The look of surprise on their faces quickly turned to glee when they realized what he’d given them.

Dear Friends,

“You are hereby cordially invited to an evening of relaxation and satisfaction.
It would give great pleasure to the deliverer of this message if you were to meet at the Cat Café,
followed by a superb home-cooked meal and ending with a leisurely movie marathon sleepover.”
