Sedna didn't think there was a downside to spending so much time with Beringia---but now---now---she was starting to think there was one.

It was this: when he wasn't there, things didn't feel right.

Seriously.

It was weird to be patrolling on her own!

It was a serious problem.

One she had to quickly toss to the back seat for now as she felt a power signature, weaker than hers, nearby. It was chaos, so she made a beeline for it, because in her experience 99.9% of the time the chaos signature was doing naughty things. This one was no exception. The super senshi got a better look as she dropped down from a nearby fire escape and confronted the corrupted senshi (she could tell by ALL THE HAIR).

"Hey! Cease and desist what you're doing there right now or else, please! Or else I'm going to have to get involved!"

Not that she wasn't already now.

Gadolinite had had, he thought, a pretty good evening so far.

He'd drained three people - not enough that they would need hospitals, but enough to leave them a little off balance and probably pretty sleepy. He'd bought his way into the VIP section of a club and spent a good portion of his time simply enjoying himself with good food and good drink and good company. He'd have a lot to bring back to Jet, which made him pretty damn satisfied with himself.

And now he had a starseed in his hand, which he was debating either forking over to his superior officer or maybe eating. He hadn't decided yet, mostly because he wasn't entirely sure what eating starseeds actually did.

The senshi's arrival, however, was an unforseen complication. Gadolinite raised a brow, head tilting slightly in her direction.

Then he said, quite simply, and quite cheerfully,

"No."

Sedna was struck by a powerful wave of deja vu. That accent. That no. It was just utterly surreal because instead of being grumpy, this guy was cheerful. It was like some bizarro world where this guy was Beringia's weird opposite. That feeling quickly turned into panic though, as she caught sight of what was in the corrupt senshi's hand. That wasn't just an energy orb. It was a star seed.

The senshi gasped, and immediately shifted into a ready stance.

"Then I'm taking it back by force!" She lunged at him, her hands outstretched.

She was a plucky one. Gadolinite had thought no was an answer that spoke for itself, but apparently he was wrong, because the senshi was now flinging himself towards her, and he was forced to hastily backtrack away so that she wouldn't collide straight into him.

She did, however, knock into his arm and send him staggering to the side. Gadolinite let out a hiss, arm smacking into the brick wall of the building beside him.

"Охуе́ть!" He pushed himself up again.

"That vas not very nice," said Gadolinite, sounding mildly put out about the whole thing. "I do not vish to fight pretty girl, but I vill."

He wasn't going to focus on the fact that her power signature was stronger than his.
