Cadhla was debating on which student to approach. She was curious about all the races, their history, customs, beliefs, family structures.
Sitting alone on a stone bench near the entrance to dorms she watched several different races wander by. Mentally reviewing the information she already knew she decided she would approach a Slaugh she saw just a few moments before with some sort of notebook in her hand.
Casting her eyes about she saw the Green Slaugh sitting at a bench similiar to the one she sat on not to far away from her, hastily writing in her notebook. Tapping it to their cheek every once in a while as in thought they would suddenly began to write again.
Rising she walked slowly over as not to interrupt them before she got to the bench, she cleared her throat and said
"Excuse me, would you mind discussing with me the particulars of your race, for instance your beliefs, history and family structures? I have an assignment for class." The Green Slaugh looked up and said
"Be happy to, I am Kamiaela Which would you like to know about first? Before Cadhla knew it they had been talking for almost a hour about the Slaugh race which Cadhla found fascinating.
For instance there seems to be a high rate of infertility among the Slaugh, it is not know why this happens. Those born with gifted with magic are pushed into a position to obtain a power position within the society. While this is understandable, it seems wrong to force someone to persue something they are not interested in due to their special abilities.
Their way of raising a child is do to so in groups due to their distrust of people in general, they are very wary of all the races except Cherub. Due to the Cherub living in the Solar while the Slaugh live in the Undercity.
This race seems to have a "taboo" of intermixing with other races except Cherub. Their courting style is best described as "slow", they are encouraged to be friends first then see where it leads.
As the hour past quickly, Cadhla learned alot about the Slaugh race and asked Kamiaela if she would like to be friends. Understanding their natural wariness of other races, she would leave that decision up to Cadhla.
Thanking her for her time, which Cadhla now knew was precious due to the Slaugh's views on other races she said her goodbyes and proceeded back to her room to write her paper.
