While the morning is full of seminars and classes, the afternoon is dedicated to guided tours of the new hospital for all curious visitors who wish to see the inner workings of the large facility.
You have signed up for such a tour and now find yourself being guided by the friendly and outgoing Nurse Harmony. She seems almost overly excited to be leading one of the tour groups, but thankfully her enthusiasm seems to be contagious, as everyone else in the group seems excited to get the tour on the road.
She takes you and the others up to one of the higher floors in the hospital. Apparently she's been assigned to work 3-East, one of the Med-Surg floors and wants to use it as an example for the tour route on what the floors will look like after it opens for patient admissions.
You find yourself led into the back of the nurse's station of the unit. It's in pristine shape, with computers and office supplies nice and organized, untouched by anyone until now. In the back corner underneath one of the desks, there seems to be an excess supply of random hospital paraphernalia. Perhaps someone was using the area for storage?

The nurse is clearly proud of her new unit home and has no issue with answering any questions the tour group may have over her and her coworkers future responsibilities on working a medical surgery floor.
"It's been an honor chosen to work for such a wonderful new hospital. I've actually just moved here to the city and I couldn't have asked for a better jo--!"
Her words morph into a gasp as the lights shut off, leaving you and the rest of the group in total darkness. Nurse Harmony clearly has no idea what's going on, but she doesn't seem terribly distressed about it.
"Oh, I'm sure someone was just having a bit too much fun downstairs, don't worry about it. Doctor Hadly will have this fixed in a jiffy!"

The speaker system overhead crackles on and an deep, ominous laughter fills the entire unit's hallway. Depending on your history with the magical characters of Destiny City, you may recognize the voice of a notorious redheaded General.
"Hello, hello, testing... 1...2...3...."
A shrill sound pierces through the speaker system, followed by a second chuckle.
"There we go. Hiya, friends of the new hospital! Wow, it's dark as s**t in there! Don't worry, the emergency lights will flicker on shortly. Or not. Not my problem! But let's skip right to the important things."
Clearing his throat, a muffled voice of another female was picked up in the background. The male voice, however, continued.
"My name is General Obsidian and while I would love to personally see to your enjoyment of my new hospital, I'm afraid I am way too important for that s**t. My buddies will see that you enjoy your stay."
At that moment, the back-up lights come on, allowing you the ability to dimly see the room around you. It's only a fraction of the light that you'd started with, but it's better than nothing.
"Huh, they work after all!. As I was saying, I have a few friends that are very eager to meet you. But as much as I love a good bloodbath, I'd rather see you guys put some effort in.... so.... if you can make it out of the hospital in one piece, you win! Isn't that just great?
The female voice crackled over the system, her words and voice unrecognizable.
"Of course, if you don't make it out, my compadres will make sure you're comfortable. You know, smeared on the walls, thrown in the morgue, tossed in the incinerator.... But anyways, I digress. Please have a WONDERFUL time and we wish you the best of luck... ta-ta!"
With that, the speaker system hisses as it shuts off completely.

It's easy to see silhouettes of the others at the desk area, including the bubbly Nurse Harmony, whose cheerfulness has seemed to have been foiled by the ominous voice over the intercom speaker. It was fairly certain that Dr. Hadly had little to do with whatever it was this... General Obsidian had in mind.
She's clutching something around her neck - is that a rosary, you see?
"I....I think we should probably take our leave soon, don't you?"
The handful of storage items sounds like a pretty good idea, right about now. Better grab something from the pile for self-defense.

(( Broken IV Pole ))
Kathryn was pleased to be displaying her new badge that she had picked up before the tour started and only before the tour started did she tuck the badge into her inside coat pocket. There was no way that she wanted to lose the card that told everyone that she was qualified to perform CPR. Rounding the corner and taking in the 3rd floor nurses station Kathryn let her gaze wander freely around at the interior. She was intrigued that Nurse Harmony was leading the tour. Knowing that the tour was more to show off the hospital it was a surprise when the lights flickered. Clutching her bag closer Kathryn sighed before letting her hand find a wall and just remained in one spot. As the lights returned, albeit dimmer than normal, Kathryn felt that maybe things would be alright after all.
However as the speakers crackled to life and the ominous message was passed on Kathryn could not help feel a frisson of fear race down her spine. It would seem as if there was now a challenge that had been issued. Shaking her head Kathryn steeled herself for what might be coming and eyed the random paraphernalia before grabbing a broken IV pole. Well ... hopefully this would be enough to fend off whatever might come at them.
Last was the tour, and despite his disinterest with the sessions and so forth the tour of the new hospital had at least sounded promising. It would at least give Matt a chance to see what sort of equipment would be available and maybe in some way be able to convince the administration to upgrade a few things around in the lab. Soon after everyone had filed in the group was following one of the nurses, a name that Matt had easily forgotten as soon as she had introduced herself. She was at least rather cheerful leading them around and Kyle on the other had seemed completely enthralled with everything the nurse was saying, which still rather adorable to Matt.
It wasn't until the lights flickered off that Matt stopped to listen, a somewhat familiar voice sounded over the intercom before being replaced by another as the back up lights kicked on. He searched out looking for Kyle’s hand hoping to at least give him some reassurance that even with what was being said that he was alright. When the voices dismissed them Matt gave a reassuring look to the younger man before fishing out some sort of weapon to take with them
Unfortunately all he got was a broken telephone with a cord.

It seemed that she and her bar-visiting companion had been put into the same tour group together. Honestly, that worked just fine for Cerissé, who while not flirtatious with the gentleman, was at least somewhat enjoying his company. She'd really not been paying attention to what Nurse Harmony was saying until the lights flickered out.
She looked up with a frown, then over to Tristan. "Well that's not a good sign," she said quietly.
Then the intercom came on and Cerissé mentally facepalmed. Of course it was one of hers. She did her best to keep a neutral expression on her face. Sighing deeply and putting on her best fearful expression. "This doesn't sound good, does it?"
Unfortunately the thing about a group - especially a spooked group - was you tended to be...herded along. At some point in time, Cerissé had a ...a...a bedpan shoved into her hands and when she tried to pass it off to someone else they insisted she'd...need it.
She really didn't want to need it.
"I really hope I don't end up needing to use this."

Chailee Sterling - (Scalpel) The idea of the tour had been exciting for Chailee. She was always curious what it looked like behind the scenes considering she had been contemplating on changing her possible major in college from her planned veterinary to something in the medical field. So, this little tour was going to be educational for her.
Or at least, it was suppose to be.
A flicker of lights before darkness enveloped the group and Chailee found herself trying to peer through the absolute blackness to try and see if anything was going on. It seemed the cause of the power outage had decided to introduce himself via the speak system. Immediately Chailee was on high alert. What was planned? What should they expect?
And why did it seem like this was something more extreme than some elaborate plan to gather energy?
With the lights on she couldn’t risk powering up. Not yet anyway. So with no other choice she scrounged around for some sort of weapon and nearly sliced her finger open on a scalpel that had been amongst the pile of rubbish in the room. She stared at the little thing and immediately wondered if she could even bring herself to use it as an actual weapon.
He seemed to pale at the flickering light and the voice that came over the speakers. He recognized the name and hated that he did.
Tristan had never met the man himself, but he knew of him and what he'd heard had been terrifying but he did his best not to show anything outwardly. It wouldn't do him good after all. To his surprise the familiar face that kept popping up had returned and he offered Cerissé a strained and tired smile. "No, it doesn't at all."
He looked for something he could use to defend himself and came up with a bed pan just like his companion. "Let's hope not..." He sighed, looked around and then back at her. "Stay close?"
Lilith had gone with Cassie that day, another day of spending light-hearted with one of her cousins. Who... also knew of her second life. She'd been... much more vocal in her disappointment for Lilith not having said something sooner, and though Lilith had not commented on the hypocrisy well. In her credit, she had just been kidnapped (very, very short term) by a General. She supposed Cassie had a reason for her temper.
But they were going to have a good day, a fun outing, right?
So much for that plan.
"Now do you see why I told you to bring that?" Lilith hissed, nudging her cousin's ribs with her elbow as their arms were linked, when Cassie reported that the lights had gone out--ha--and they heard the voice over the loudspeakers. Cassie's grumble was her only response, before a thing was shoved into her hands.
A weapon. An.... oxygen tank? Really? She turned her head towards Cassie with a skeptical look, but only sighed. Her pen was in her pocket of her jeans. Cassie had her own. Those were the only weapons Lilith was really worried about using.
She'd been hoping Lilith wouldn't be right but. Ugh. "Yes, yes, I know," she hissed back, aware of the weight of her own pen in her own pants' pocket. When the lights went out, well, she did her duty and informed her cousin why everyone was freaking out, but the unknown voice--the freaking Negaverse being involved, of course--she felt like she should be staring into a camera on the Office.
Why did they have to prove Lilith right? Why?
The hospital looked nice and she was in high spirits. Till this happened. Grumbling, she moved forward to grab one of the medical supplies around to use as a tool--handing the first one she grabbed, a freaking oxygen tank, to Lilith out of a bit of spite. Only to find herself with a weird broken arm of a wheelchair. Really? Oh well. More manageable.
Getting into the hospital once had been easy. Twice? Equally so. She'd followed one group with the bubbly nurse, her nose twitching and something itching in her head as she followed two girls in particular. One, she'd seen before at the hospital, and so she attributed it to nothing but familiarity from that.
Yet she followed them, noting quickly how the one she'd seen before lead the other, her attention more riveted on the young women than the information the nice nurse was giving about the floor they went up to. Though Réalta was certainly tempted to ask questions about the procedures that went on there, and their computer systems, and--why did the lights go out.
Her fur rose, biting back a yowl as she stuck close to the girls she'd been following and watched as one pulled out makeshift weapons. Smart. But in trying to do the same, Réalta found herself in possession of a... broken IV pole? Far too big--it was scraping across the ground as she dragged it over to the blind woman--and she dropped it with a clang at her feet, pressing her nose against her jean covered leg. "You'll need this more than me, sweetie," she murmured, hoping that only the two young women heard her. Which, judging by the expressions she got, they did.
He hadn't been originally planning on coming to the hospital tour really but when reading up on the hospital he ended up changing his mind. After all it was probably a good idea to see if it was a better option the the previous hospital in case of an injury that befell on either himself or anyone else that needed immediate medical care. It was also a good idea to check in on it for his job anyway more then likely.
So the day of the tours Richard had gone ahead and got into the group he had signed up for previously only to be surprised to see a familiar face amusing them. "Fancy seeing you here Kitkat." He said as he moved to stand by the younger man, giving him a small smile in greeting. There wasn't much time to talk though as the tour started and they were lead around, ending up at the nurse's station with Nurse Harmony leading.
Of course then things started to go wrong, starting with the lights and then the fact that one of the General's was behind this. "Oh you have got to be kidding me." He said under his breath then picked up the first item near him as a weapon. It didn't even matter that it was just a broken wheelchair part since it was still better then his normal weapon when powered up in the first place. "Stick close Kitkat." He said then looked around at the rest of the group with them.

Weapon in hand, it's time for you to begin your adventure out of this place. State of the art facility or not, it's clearly been seized by the Negaverse and you didn't sign up for that!
As soon as you make your way around the station desk in the middle of the unit, you're about to head down the hall towards the exit when you hear a sound coming from the tail end of the hallway. It sounds like the crying of a small child. Could someone have wandered up there and been frightened by the lights going out? Or could it be a trap?
Nurse Harmony is twisting the pearl rosary around her neck and muttering a prayer. Her face is pale - she's probably going to be no help at all.

Stay where you are - this sounds like a cliche plot to a horror movie so no thanks

Chailee Sterling - Investigate the sound. (Scalpel) Following Nurse Harmony was the best way in getting out of the hospital on once piece. Especially considering that this General Obsidian seemed intent on possibly actually hurting people beyond what she would have expected from the negaverse. The teen practically itched to grab the blue and gold pen stashed safely in her bag that bounced on her hip with each step, but she didn’t dare. After all, besides there being normal citizens here was there a chance there were agents among them as well? Revealing herself would not be in her best interest.
So, the bluenette followed along with the group occasionally bumping into others and making sure to keep her sharp weapon away from anyone. The last thing she wanted to do was to accidentally cut someone out of negligence.
As it was, Nurse Harmony seemed to be leading them down a long hallway when Chailee heard the sound that made her pause. She listened harder and knew for sure that she had heard what sounded like a kid crying. “Hey...hey, I think there’s someone lost down there.” She said, glancing to Nurse Harmony but the woman seemed uninterested as she clutched her rosary for dear life.
Chailee knew there was a chance that it could be a trap, but if there was the slightest possibility that there really was a child down there scared and alone she couldn’t just walk away! “I am going to go check it out.” She said to a few people around her, hoping that maybe other might join her or at least wait for her to come back.
Picking up a slow jog she hurried down the hallway. Blue and pink curls bounced behind her as she sought out the source of the crying. “Hey! Hey, it’s ok! I am coming to help!” She called softly, hoping her voice carried to whomever it was without possibly alerting someone or something she’d rather not encounter.

Matt Duffyis Checking on Nurse Harmony {Phone and Cord Weapon}
Matt wasn't entirely sure how useful the phone was going to be as a weapon but he would worry about that later when he actually needed to use it for whatever reason. Instead he squeezed Kyle’s hand to reassure him that everything was going to be alright, no matter what really happened he would do what he could to help him escape mostly unharmed from the hospital. The crowd seemed a little nervous as they stood there in the hallway, as the sound of a child's voice seemed to fill the air in a rather nerving way for most. Matt squeezed the younger man's hand again before letting go in search of the nurse whose name he had yet not bothered to remember.
"Are you alright nurse?" He figured it was more or less nerves that seemed to make her rather upset and concerned as she played with her rosary but he wanted to make sure.
