The Start of an Empire Raised by this mother among Anubis's Hieratic. Son of Morrigan's daughter Hekate. Stifled and for the most part ignored having to path to the throne. Nemeios quickly become bored under the yoke of Nefertari and Morrigan's leadership. Though they were powerful they only sought to internalize that power and cared little of the other herds. Evidently with an army of mostly undead it would be quite an easy task to take over the other herds; however, that never happened frustrating Nemeios. There had been some skirmish over a princess from Anuyidan'Danayi (His cousin) though he cared little for his relatives in that herd. The results were just as disappointing. Nemeios spent his early days training and growing stronger with his goal in mind. Upon reaching adulthood Nemeios set out to form an empire of his own to be feared and respected by the other herds. Notes -
The emperor will have a Harem he will change favourites depending on his mood. He likes pretty things as well as strong ones.
The herd is extremely militaristic. It will take actions against other herds especially those it finds weaker and consume them.
Slave system - The herd will have a slave system in place.
He Seeks only the strongest to Join his herd. Strong mares and stallions are required.
Weakness is not tolerated. the weak are Subject to slavery, Banishment or death.
Loyalty to the emperor and empire. Disloyalty will be subject to death or banishment.
Not opposed to ritual sacrifice

Herd Ranks
Royalty Emperor - The Ruler of the herd
Heir- Son of the Emperor has chosen to fill his hooves upon untimely death.
Royal offspring - Offspring of the Emperor and His consorts
The Harem
Head Consort: - Usually Nemeios's favourite at the time
Consort(s): the finest mares or stallions, taken and Pillaged from other herds.
Soldier Ranks
Commander/General - Head of the military underneath the emperor. There will only be 1 for now. More may be added if the herd grows.
Consul ~ Consul is/are in a grey area in the hierarchy, and can get overridden in some circumstances by lower ranking Stars - Council to the emperor, only one star may achieve this rank and it has to be approved by the emperor himself.
Legate(s)/Lieutenant(s) - There will be more or less depending on the size of the herd. They have more legions under their control than the Tribunes
Tribune(s): There will be more or less depending on the size of the herd. They may have multiple legions under their control
Centurion(s): Heads of the smaller Legions, There will be more or less depending on the size of the herd.
Legionnaires - The standard soldier; The Primary Defense of the herd. They also have duties to work around the herd to fortify it .
Legionnaires in training - The Children; in this herd the children don't get a lot of choice of what they are to become. they will all be trained as upstanding soldiers. Few Routes are available to them. Tradesmen Collectors- They take the treasures from the battlefield and raids upon other herds. Essentially the supply line of the herd this class is also usually a subclass within the soldiers.
Blacksmiths - this rank make metal shoes, weapons and armor for the knights as well as a variety of other items for war. Soldiers sometimes also take up this class when they are on their downtime. It's excellent training.
Engineers- brilliant individuals They exclusively make the siege weapons of war and defences of the herd. For stars that perhaps like to use their brain a bit more than their brawn
Slave Trader - the one who manages, buys and sells slaves
The Slaves Gladiatorial Slave - A slave that fights in the arena for the herd's entertainment; to either procure their freedom or join the herd as a fully fledged member.
Volunteer Slave - Slaves that have volunteered for military service out on the front line
Slave - A rank for the rest who do not meet the emperor's Criteria. They do the rest of the herd jobs, that are considered for the weak such as gathering food, cleaning, and, taste testing for the emperor and the other herd members. They are treated very poorly.

Reduction of rations
Flogging in front of the century, cohort or legion
Whipping with the short whip — a much more brutal punishment than simple flogging. The "short whip" is used by slave volunteers, who constituted the majority of the army in the later years of the Roman Empire.
Reduction in rank
Dishonourable discharge
Relegation to inferior service or duties.
Additional duties Major punishments Desertion or dereliction of duty. - The legionary willbe be stoned or beaten to death by cudgels, in front of the assembled troops, by his fellow soldiers, whose lives had been put in danger. Soldiers under sentence of fustuarium who escaped will not be pursued, but lived under sentence of banishment from the herd.
An Entire unit mutiny, desertion, or show of dereliction of duty. - One out of every ten men, chosen by lots, would be beaten to death, usually by the other nine with their hooves, who would be forced to live outside the camp and in some instances obliged to renew the military oath.

Slaves
There are a couple of ways to become a slave within this herd. Either by crossing or getting to close to their boarder, or being captured during a raid. Or showing weakness/defiance in front of the emperor in which he could in turn make your character a slave. None of these would be carried out without discussion of all parties involved, so don't worry to much about it.

I was throwing in Alkippe and Limerick from Dreamer's Glass as mares he steals. And Spes from Call of the Moon, Shappa gifts her to him to keep him appeased long enough to accomplish her plans and get out.
Plotting for getting a hold of Trigs will be something to work on.
