Malphas was back at work once again. This time he had jumped at the offer to be one of the ones to trek along the mountain side and replenish the supply of certain flowers, roots, and even barks that they had been finding useful in their trail runs of a antidote to the poison.
Unfortunately with the amount of patients that were affected even with the massive scavenger hunt that had been preformed a short time ago they were already running low. He had to respect the other's enthusiasm and willingness to throw themselves back into gardening - especially given most of the vikings were sick to death of it from what he was told - just to lend a paw. It had certainly earned the Stormborn some major kudos in his eyes. There might have been some in their pride that abused their power and strength, as there was bound to be in that type of environment. But they were also able to show a rather shocking great out pour of compassion, will-power, and perseverance.
Though their efforts were valor they had proven one other thing in their time in the Dov: Gardeners they were not. Most of what they had brought back was completely worthless or toxic in it's self. At the very least the true alchemists in the team had been excited to pick through to find any useful items, divvy it all up accordingly, and promptly horde the extras for a later use. After they tested to double check that there wasn't a miracle cure hiding right underneath their noses, of course.
Because it's just not science if you don't try everything at least once.
