Malphas was back at work once again. This time he had jumped at the offer to be one of the ones to trek along the mountain side and replenish the supply of certain flowers, roots, and even barks that they had been finding useful in their trail runs of a antidote to the poison.

Unfortunately with the amount of patients that were affected even with the massive scavenger hunt that had been preformed a short time ago they were already running low. He had to respect the other's enthusiasm and willingness to throw themselves back into gardening - especially given most of the vikings were sick to death of it from what he was told - just to lend a paw. It had certainly earned the Stormborn some major kudos in his eyes. There might have been some in their pride that abused their power and strength, as there was bound to be in that type of environment. But they were also able to show a rather shocking great out pour of compassion, will-power, and perseverance.

Though their efforts were valor they had proven one other thing in their time in the Dov: Gardeners they were not. Most of what they had brought back was completely worthless or toxic in it's self. At the very least the true alchemists in the team had been excited to pick through to find any useful items, divvy it all up accordingly, and promptly horde the extras for a later use. After they tested to double check that there wasn't a miracle cure hiding right underneath their noses, of course.

Because it's just not science if you don't try everything at least once.

It appeared that there was a slight hiccup in their original plan to seek out this doctor in the Bahari. First, Organa was fair more awake and alert than previously reported. Kenobi was glad to see that she had recovered enough to the point where she was well enough to return to her snarky self.

Even if her recovery was a pain in the a** for him.

There was no way that he could freely waltz himself around like nothing was the matter, it would be a matter of time before Organa sniffed him out and came at him at full force, injury or no injury, she wouldn't give up that sort of chance.

So, he sent Ah'Soka in his steed. They had come up with a plan to distract the doctor and try to pull him away for a brief moment to ask him a few questions. It would have been all well in good had there not been one minor detail missing from the equation: The doctor himself!

What he did to get on luck's bad side he didn't know, but it was starting to annoy him to no end.

Days had gone by but finally Ah'Soka had returned with an update, the doctor had been called to assist a pride with a disaster called the Dov. He had actually left a short time after Ah'Soka had to come fetch him. Interesting, Kenobi had to wonder what exactly was causing such an event that the doctor and a good number of crew to stay for weeks? Soka hadn't dared get close enough to find out given their attempts at hunting him once he entered their territory.

That would just have to be something to ask the good doctor himself. A good starting off point as any to get the conversation rolling before he started to dig for the information he wanted.

Leaving Ah'Soka behind back at the Bahari to further monitor Organa Kenobi set off by himself to the high mountain range to find this gray male he had heard so much about.

Giving his size and reputation it wasn't hard to find him. Even better? He had caught him alone. Perfect.

Clearing his throat to catch the other male's attention Kenobi stepped forward from the treeline. "Hello there! I do apologize for bother you, I just seem to be a tad...lost for lack of a better word. Could you tell me exactly where I am, sir?"

Letting out a lazy 'Hmm' Malphas pulled his attention away from the root he was currently trying to dig out from under a tree. His dark eyes trailed to meet with the warm sunset hues belonging to the cheetah.

Why would someone of their species risk coming so close to a pride overflowing with lions at the moment was beyond his knowledge. Clearly this man didn't have much going for him in the self preservation department.

Still, he seemed like he was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. This should be a simple matter of turning him back away to the right direction. "Afternoon." He replied boredly.

He took a cautious step forward, trying not to spook the seemingly nervous fellow before him. "Lost? Mate that is the understatement of the century. I can tell you right now you won't find anything that you're looking for here." Mostly because there wasn't much here to find to begin with, but he would leave that bit out.

"You're in Dov lands."
With a mild smiled he added on, "Where are you looking to head to, sir? Perhaps I could be some help pointing you in the correct direction?"

Well he was friendly enough, Kenobi had to give him that. Though he couldn't help but get the feeling of a great deal of annoyance radiating off of the good doctor. Hmm, perhaps getting the information he desired would take a bit more effort than he initially thought. He would put his money on the fact he would need to take a much different approach than simply a prying traveler making small talk. He needed something that would allow him to gain this man's trust.

But how without rousing suspension? That was the great dilemma of the day.

The spotted cheetah snapped out of his thoughts once addressed with Malphas' direct questioning. "Oh! I'm just trying to go visit my family, they live near one of the great mountains eastward." He replied without missing a beat. Letting out a nervous bark of laughter Kenobi brought a paw up to rub the back of his head. "Like I said I seem to have gotten myself a tad lost. I was following the large number of lions coming to and from here thinking they were heading towards a major crossroads or something but...instead they lead me to here." Well that wasn't a complete lie at the very least.

"Can I ask what is going on currently to warrant such a gathering?"

An eyebrow cocked high into his hairline as his eyes scanned over the seemingly nervous cheetah with bemusement. What a bizarre little man this was. He might not have known it but Malphas could almost see the cogs turning in that big noggin of his. What were they cooking up was beyond him however, hell the man could be going over his direction list for all he knew.

Still, he wanted little to do in way of company today and wanted this particular male around being that company even less.

"Right, mate. Well you can follow the path back down the mountain side and find yourself on a traveling path, continue east from their and you should be able to find some place more familiar to you."
He explained with a dismissive flick of the paw in the direction he knew the trail lay.

Malphas scooped up the root he was previously digging up with one mighty swipe at the ground. "The Dov got themselves in a sticky situation, we're here to remedy that." He calmly explained why trying to balance the root in the already full weaved basket he had strapped to his back. They were becoming quite the staple item for anyone to have attached to them if they were planning on leaving the safety of the walls, least they might come across a plant that could prove useful to the relief effort.

His ears flicked at the distant sound of his name being called out. Thank the gods above! He couldn't believe he was saying this but he was glad to be called back to work, it gave him a perfect excuse to take his exit of this conversation. "And that's my cue. Duty calls, ya know?" With a mild smile he tipped his head to the cheetah before brushing past him, heading off to go meet up with whoever needed his assistance now.

"Just make sure not to sample any strange plants why you're visiting!"
He called out over his shoulder before disappearing entirely into the foggy treeline.
