Bio: Basina Marigold is the only surviving child of Sir George Marigold of Antigone and his chosen wife Ninon Marigold, her parents where third cousins. Originally George was supposed to marry some heiress from house Stieg, but he went behind his fathers back and married for love instead. Basina at one point had two older brothers, Edward and Richard. Her father was considered a radical, beliving in freedom of marriage, speech and the absolution of Ethe's Absolute Monarchy in favor of an Elective Monarchy instead. He would constantly be leading rallies and demonstrations against the Royal family and he would attempt to speak for the common people in an attempt to help their voice be heard.
Eventually Basina's mother passed away in childbirth, she and the child were lost and Basina had a Stepmother named Isabella, she wasn't evil but Basina and Isabella didn't pay attention to each other as by this time Basina was seven and being taken care of by governesses.
By the time Basina was ten years of age her older brothers and father were of the same mind and where constantly holding rallies, slandering the royal family and all who blindly agreed with the monarchy, at one point going so far as to call such nobles "Weak willed men that could be enticed by even the most bitter of words." He wasn't that lucky of a man though, and one of the nobles that finally got tired of Basina's father paid a man to falsely accuse her father of attempting to assassinate the royal family. The 'evidence' was brought forward and implicated the entire family, her stepmother testified against The Baronet of Antigone in exchange for a new marriage, and her father and oldest brother were executed by guillotine- her younger brother was stripped of his title and imprisoned, but he would perish in prison a year later.
Basina was spared on the mere stipulation of her age at the time, hardly eleven, and was assigned as Ward to the Kaltaine House of Frostveil up until the eruption of Mt. Adara, where in the chaos she was left behind and from what she gathered, most of the Kaltaine house where killed- however she is pretty sure she saw one of them get away. Since then she has been reassigned as the ward of Count Dixon until she comes of age and can manage her hereditary lands.
During year 202 Solidon attacked Antigone and Basina put up her best fight against Argus Chhatrapati but she failed and almost lost her life, it took Count Dixon's best healers to fix the broken bones and her torn body.
