Some days they actually had to wait for their turn to use the studio – this was less about Cerissé being impatient, and more about the fact she’d show up early to nearly everything and…well, some people liked to take more than their share. A petty annoyance at best. But in the lounge-esque waiting area (these couches were so nice and they changed them often enough that she had gotten the set they’d replaced with them for her own townhome. She liked them a little better.), there was at least reading material. While most of it was annoying things like recent celebrity drama (why did it matter what singer was planning their third compass-named child with some woman who was famous for a questionable tape), she found herself drawn to, in all strangeness, a sports magazine. The picture on the front was nothing interesting (there were abs), but some text down in one of the corners had caught the young woman’s attention. She took up her seat next to Jade to flip through the pages until she opened up to an article that read ‘WORLD FENCING CHAMPIONSHIPS’ and started to detail those who had gone and the events that had passed. There were a lot of pictures. None were as interesting as the abs she wasn’t looking at.

When it came to business with RM, Jade was always prompt if not early. It was more important now that she had a little duckling beneath her wing that she was taking responsibility for. So far, Cerissé proved to be a wonderful asset both for the firm and otherwise.
Having to wait for the studio room, despite having it booked weeks in advance, was growing increasingly frustrating despite the relaxed and easy going air the white haired woman put out. Flipping through a boring magazine, Jade tossed it back onto the coffee table and was glancing through her phone checking the trending hashtags and news stories before glancing over at her companion.
"Hey sunshine," she greeted cheerily, waggling fingers at the younger woman before scooping up her coffee cup from the side table and taking a swig. "Have you thought about any extra curriculars outside of your talented violin performances? I know I said no 5 am workouts but, we probably need to work on your strength and swing soon."

Cerissé wasn't sure how she felt about being called 'Sunshine'. But on the other hand, it sounded right coming from Jade, so she really didn't mind. "I've..some interest in certain things," she admitted, though did let out a chuckle at the comment about morning workouts. She held up the magazine article she was reading; "I've noticed that I....lack a certain reach and sometimes my little flimsy arms don't really do all that great against strong arms." Though it could he said Cerissé had rather nice arms. They were just meant for holding an instrument, not hand-to-hand combat. "I also wouldn't be entirely against a little..uhh....self defense training? I've noticed I...am pretty easily overwhelmed by people bigger than me." By 'Overwhelmed' her inner Tantalite meant 'extremely turned on by' and Cerissé wasn't sure she agreed with it. Nuxaz There. I let you stay tagged for 3 hours. You're welcome.

Blue eyes flicked to the offered magazine before red painted nails gestured for it so she could read the page it was opened to. Jade had caught sight of the title, at least, and that was of interest. Crossing one leg over the other, the woman propped her elbow and skimmed through the article once she had it in her grasp.
Humming, her gaze flickered back over to her companion. "Flexibility and reach will be easy-ish." Waving at the magazine, she pressed a finger against the picture of the person holding a foil. "You wanna try this? I bet I can wrangle some lessons from the company for it. Talk about broadening the horizons." A pause and that finger lifted to tap her chin instead.
"I've got a fan class I'm starting up on, to help with my own skills." Cerissé's other side would remember the metal weapon fans. "I'd take fencing classes with you if you want. We'd have to video some of them though. Viewers loved my segments with Po and the MMA, bet they'd love this."

The magazine was relinquished easily when Jade gestured for it. Cerissé watched quietly as the woman browsed over the page, settling into her own seat with a half-casualness to gauge a response. "It's more interesting most of my options and well..." she trailed off quietly, "it has a certain attraction to it just from form and reputation." Bottom line: It looks pretty and seems fancy. That seemed about right in line with what it was Cerissé liked in her day to day life. "You think that fencing lessons would be helpful to your fanwork?" Certainly some footing would be in order from either lessons, but perhaps it was less about accuracy and more about 'most fan lessons are to make me look graceful, not powerful'. "I wouldn't say no to having a familiar face in with me. For support and to probably laugh at me at times," she winked at the joke.

"Hey," Jade said firmly but gently, "if you want it, I'll make it happen, Cerissé."
The woman knew how much influence she wielded over the company. It helped that her boyfriend was basically the CEO and he was definitely under her thumb and that she was the literal face of the company.
Plus fencing sounded interesting, at least for now, and she didn't mind dabbling in several different hobbies.
"Probably not, but it won't hurt to have a diverse range of skills, dontcha think?" She shut the magazine and plopped it back on the coffee table. "So it's settled, I'll get the lessons all set up and we'll schedule them in with your studio sessions."

"Just like that, hmm?" Cerissé was most definitely spoiled and she at least appreciated it for what it was. "If you think it'd be that useful, perhaps I should look into stepping in on your fan lessons," she suggested, though it was more of an excuse to spend time with the other woman than anything else. Even if it was all professional, Jade stood as the closest thing that Cerissé was able to label as 'a friend'. There was just too much else on the plate professionally for much of a social life sometimes.

"Just like that," Jade affirmed with a nod, gaze shifting to the studio door that was finally opening.
It was about damn time. Later, she'd have words with that talent's agent but for now, she was going to focus on her little protege. "Don't think it'll hurt. I'll get something set up for both of us."
Adding another student into the class she'd gotten approved wouldn't be too hard. Plus, it would be less lonely especially when Levi was too caught up in corporate stuff to pay her visits.
"Come on, sunshine. Looks like it's finally our turn."

Just like that. Cerissé looked up as the studio door finally opened, sighing with relief as she picked up her violin's case again. "Yeah, but that can wait until we have had our full time in the studio," she pointedly looked at the people leaving said studio who had encroached on their slotted use of it, but didn't get too up in their grill at this point. She had a violin to play, after all. The magazine was tossed back into the pile, no longer interesting reading material. But what about the abs?
