█ █ ◊ Rinri manifests his spirit energy into a large scythe that stands about 10 inches longer than he does. This scythe is capable of launching beam attacks at his opponent simply by "slicing" at them from a distance.

█ █ ◊ Rinri can access a rare psychic ability that allows him to immobilize his opponent. He can only focus this on one person at a time and needs to attack them first. He accesses this ability by slipping some of his energy into his opponent's blood when he cuts them with his Spirit Scythe. This also applies to his beam attacks. He must retain concentration in order to keep his hold, it will break if he loses concentration. He cannot do this while severely injured or low on power. The hold is less effective on those in a higher Spirit Class than him- and pointless on S- Class.

█ █ ◊ To say that Rinri is simply calculated is an understatement. He carefully analyzes his opponents before he ever fights them. He watches them closely in their other fights, he spies on their training and daily activities, he researches them to learn everything he can. For each opponent that he may fight he has a careful plan of how to begin. He is the chess master that stays 10 steps ahead of his opponent and plans even for his own failures. He is the type to withdraw from a fight that he knows he would lose. "It's best to live another day and prepare for tomorrow" as he would say. Winning has little meaning to him, Rinri only wishes to learn and grow stronger. He is confident, but not cocky, and knows when it's time to quit. But that doesn't mean he's weak, just smart. He has defeated many opponents that underestimated him for his size and humanity.

█ ◈ Rinri is a confident young man who often appears cold at first glance. In reality, he has a very kind heart, and secretly loves cute things. He hates to admit that he would enjoy anything he considers "girly", but still catches himself in such acts from time to time. His masculinity is not something he ever jokes about, and he is the type to get extremely offended by anyone referring to him in a way that suggests his birth gender. Rinri takes special care into his appearance. He uses washes and lotions to keep his hair and skin healthy, and often straightens his shoulder-length hair. (Mostly so he doesn't look like his mother.)
█ ◈ Rinri takes to logic above all else. He is an atheist, and his favorite subjects include Science, Psychology, and Sociology. He is particularly interested in knowing how the mind works, and hopes to be a Psychologist someday. He often analyzes himself and others, this tends to annoy people so he doesn't have many friends. He often seen as a bright and intelligent person, but his grades are only ever decent at best. This is likely do to the constant bullying and ridicule that he receives from teachers and studies alike, making him less interested in his schoolwork. He is almost always seen reading a book, and the best place to look for him is the library.

█ ◈ Rinri was born a cute baby girl on a warm April day. His parents were ecstatic to receive their first child. They devoted themselves to making her a perfect little girl. But there was something off. Even as a child, Rinri rarely smiled. She threw away all the pretty pink clothes her parents always bought her, and tended to act out. She considered being called "girly" an insult, and would hit anyone who did. She would cut her hair short whenever it grew out, and her parents were forced to take her to a salon where the crude cutting could be made presentable. Even then, Rinri knew that she was more than just a "tomboy". It was when Rinri was about 8 that she noticed something unusual. She saw a man wearing a lovely green dress. Ignoring her parents, she went to talk to the man (Who was really only about 16) and asked his why he wore a dress when he was a man. "I'm not a man," The stranger told him. "I just have the wrong body." When Rinri got home that evening she used a computer to research what the stranger had told her. The more she learned the more she understood the reason why she hated everything about herself. "She" wasn't supposed to be a girl. The next day Rinri dressed in an oversized shirt, tucked into a pair of pants. When "her" parents asked "her" why "she" wasn't wearing the clothes they bought, Rinri simply said that they felt wrong. From that day Rinri only referred to himself as a boy. Each time he did he felt a little better. He quickly came to understand that he was indeed a boy, at least mentally. But his parents wouldn't have it. They tried for years to bring back their "little girl" and constantly asked where they went wrong. They sent Rinri to many camps, classes, and religious functions hoping that he would be fixed But all it ever did was strain their relationship, and lead Rinri to abandon his faith and religion entirely.
█ ◈ Rinri attended an All Girls Private Highschool called Seien Girls' High School in Shizuoka Japan, and dedicated himself to studies. At least until the day came when he grew tired of the constant ridicule from students and teachers alike. He recently ran away from his home and abandoned his studies to train himself as a fighter in the forests of Japan. He had always been aware of his psychic ability, but hadn't had much opportunities to use it. During his solitary training he discovered he could manifest his Reiki into a weapon- the Spirit Scythe. He trained for months and months to perfect his skills, and read any book he could on the subjects of "ki", strategy, and fighting. But eventually he realised that some things can't be learned from a book. He enrolled himself into a Mixed Martial Arts dojo, where he worked to keep the dojo clean in order to earn his fee. His persistence and determination to learn led the dojo's owner to send him to the mountain to train with his own former sensei. There Rinri was treated just the same as anyone else and has dedicated himself to growing stronger. After being missing for 3 years, Rinri finally makes an appearance at the Dark World Tournament, by request of his mysterious sensei.

█ ◈ When Rinri ran away, he brought only three outfits: His school uniform, (with pants, even though he was supposed to wear a skirt) a simple outfit with tan slacks, a yellow shirt, and a pink cardigan, and a dressy outfit with black pants, a white shirt, and a black vest. He has since then purchased other outfits.
█ ◈ The skin-tight purple outfit with padding that he wears was tailored for him by the dojo that insisted he have a proper fighting outfit.
█ ◈ Hilariously enough, Rinri is allergic to perfumes. He will not stop sneezing.
█ ◈ Due to the fact that he has never really had any form of income, Rinri has not been able to afford an actual sex change. He simply focuses on a protein-based diet and takes herbs that are natural testosterone boosters. He may look male from the outside, but he unfortunately still has a female sex. He hopes to someday win the Dark World Tournament so that he could have a wish granted to change his sex.
█ ◈ Rinri's name is unisex, it's from Japanese 凜 (rin) meaning "dignified, severe, cold" combined with 理 (ri) meaning "reason, logic". It could also mean "ethics" or "morals" when used as a word.
█ ◈ His surname, Kiozumi, comes from Japanese 小 (ko) meaning "small" and 泉 (izumi) meaning "spring, fountain". A notable bearer of this name is Junichiro Koizumi (1942-), who was Prime Minister of Japan.
