User ImageGrowing up, Chaesh's home life had always been one full of activity, love, and just a little bit of chaos. Being adopted by an important older litch who not only worked on the city council, but donated to and volunteered at the orphanage he'd adopted her from, meant that her days had been full of activities. And when he'd brought home a younger sister, things had gotten even busier for the little family unit, with a whole other person that their father's life suddenly had to revolve around. The transition hadn't been easy at first, but within a few months, it was habit, and after a few years... well, they wouldn't have asked for anything else, or changed the way things had been, not after Astra had become a fixure in their life.

Chaeshia's Academy days, too, had been chock-full of action. Between classes, there were friends, there were sleepovers, and of course, the dorms shared three ways, which the kumiho had opted to stick with throughout their education, because of the comfortable familiarity of human companionship. Bouncing back between a school life too busy trying to enrich the students' wellbeing to allow them much of anything resembling privacy, a veritable bouquet of extracurricular activities and clubs, and a home life in which their father tried to make every desire and wish that his daughters had come true... well, needless to say, moving out of that had been a very quiet, and very empty, experience indeed.

And as much as the business, and the extracurriculars, and the online communities and presences had helped fill up some of the boredom, they hadn't addressed the root problem that Chaesh seemed to be routinely falling back to. They didn't really feel fulfilled, and their coursework, as long as they kept on top of it, was actually not terribly difficult for them to manage. As a senior, now, they really just needed to keep their momentum going until they graduated, and then, after that, what would there be for them? No more school, no more living at home– not unless they were going to give up a loft apartment directly above the shop space they were planning on purchasing...

...and a business that was practically ready to run itself, by now.

It was kind of lonely, having gone from a family home full of boisterous activity, to an apartment shared two ways. Hana was nice and all, but he was formal, and as much as she considered him a friend, he didn't fill the void in her life that was clearly becoming apparent to the kumiho.

What they needed, they thought, was some romance. Some intimacy, some mystery... maybe even a stone or two to remember whomever it was by. Nothing with commitment, no... but something to add interest, and someone they could flirt with and spend time with for a few months, to burn off the restless energy that had been building up, and take their mind off of finals.

Yeah. That sounded about right. Chaesh moved to turn their computer on, opened a tab, and typed 'Speed Dating' into the search bar.
