The night was eerily quiet. Myrrha had been sitting on a rooftop staring down at the street below with too much thoughts going on in her mind. She had debated for a while about what it would be like to travel to her own home world after visiting Scylla. The senshi of scents was perhaps finally ready to admit to herself that she was afraid of what she would find. Shrugging off the apprehension over the upcoming trip Myrrha stood up and moved to the fire escape and descended to street level. Although the night was quiet she knew that to effectively patrol she needed to not stay in one spot. It was with that thought in mind that she started in the direction of one of the parks near her place. It may be that it would stay a quiet night and that was what Myrrha was hoping for.
About ten minutes later Myrrha came across a small playground and sat down on one of the swings and gently rocked back and forth. She still had a lot of time left before having to return home. Her mind wandered a little as she continued to move back and forth. Indecision had wracked her mind for the longest time. She wanted to help with the fight but it seemed that unless she was able to do more that it wasn't likely she would make a serious impact. With a large sigh Myrrha stopped her momentum and glanced around at the empty park. Maybe it was time to call it a night.

Etoile normally patrolled together with Lepus, but sometimes she wandered off on her own, as well... as long as Lepus left her bedroom window open for her to get back inside. Tonight was one of those nights, and the little cat made her way around town, keeping an eye out for trouble but mostly just for free food; she wasn't really looking for a fight, but she had her kitten star beam just in case. Arriving at one of the many parks in Destiny City, Etoile caught wind of another Order signature. Feeling hopeful at the prospect of making a new senshi friend and making getting some treats out of it, the little Mauvian crossed through the playground, before finding a senshi sitting on one of the swings, looking like she had a lot on her mind. Well, Etoile wasn't really that great at dispensing advice, but she liked to think she was, and it was with that that she approached Myrrha. "Hello!" she cheerfully called out, "Is something wrong?"

It was one of the times that Myrrha should have been paying a little more attention to her surroundings. A voice out of the darkness was accompanied by a signature of order that Myrrha began to register as being that of a guardian cat. She had not met too many cats outside of random encounters, ones that didn't lend enough time to be properly introduced. The only cat that was different from the rest was the one that had awakened her to the fight. Shrugging off that memory Myrrha glanced down towards the ground as a small figure approached the swings that she sat on. Myrrha felt the beginning of a smile as she took in the kitten. It surprised her just how young the animal was. "You could say that. I seem to have a lot on my mind."
Moving off of the swing Myrrha knelt closer to the ground and reached down with her hand and waited to see if the kitten would acquiesce to being held. "Good evening. How are you?"
It was perhaps the most banal greeting on record but the senshi of scents wasn't sure how one went greeting the Guardian cats.

"I'm doing quite good, thank you!" Etoile responded happily, allowing Myrrha to pick her up should she choose to. She was always happy to receive any and all attention people wished to bestow upon her. "Hmm... do you want to talk about it? Maybe I can help," the little cat told the senshi, offering her help.

Taking the hint that the cat didn't back away from her outstretched hand Myrrha gently picked the kitten up and sat back down on the swing with the kitten on her lap. She absently ran her gloved hand over the kitten's ears before looking down at the ground. Another sigh echoed in the still night as she tried to organize her thoughts.
"I think that I'm just overthinking things too much these days. I'm trying to not dwell on the fact that I don't seem to be making an impact in the war that we find ourselves fighting. Perhaps it is just my opinion but I'm of the opinion that I'm useless in a fight on my own."
Myrrha paused as she stopped petting the kitten. She gave a small chuckle as she realized she had neglected to exchange a little bit of information that could prove necessary. "I'm sorry. I didn't even get your name kitty. I'm Myrrha, the senshi of scents."

"I'm sure you're not useless," Etoile assured, purring in a comforting manner, as Myrrha pet her, "Even if you're not seeing the results, it doesn't mean you aren't doing anything." Well, actually, she wasn't certain about that, but Etoile was always optimistic of things, regardless. Perhaps too optimistic for a little cat that didn't really know the statistics on things, but Etoile never really paid attention to those things. "My name is Etoile, and it is very nice to meet you, Sailor Myrrha, senshi of scents."

Myrrha sighed and tried to calm her thoughts as Etoile purred away in her lap. What Etoile said might be true but Myrrha was not certain that she had had any real effect on the side of order. Gently rocking the swing back and forth Myrrha kept a light grasp on Etoile as to make sure the kitten didn't fall off as she let the gentle momentum carry and finally cease.
"I just don't know if that is the truth anymore though Etoile. I mean I feel like I could be more useful if I could do more than just briefly incapacitate the enemy. You know?"
The senshi gently placed her hand on the chains of the swing. Her voice was quiet as she spoke to the kitten. "I wish to be able to help more."

Myrrha didn't seen convinced, and Etoile struggled to come up with more encouraging words, not having much experience in these kinds of situations. Deneb had been a person who, while frustrated at a lack of advancement in power, took things into her own hands. Lepus, while her magic wasn't directly combative, simply found her own way to do things. Suddenly, she thought of something, something she'd never done before, but could very well be what was needed. "Hmm... I think you're already a help- you just don't believe in yourself enough! However... I might have an idea," the little cat mused, as they continued to swing. "Take out your henshin pen, and let me take a look at it!"

Myrrha glanced down at Etoile with a hint of suspicion brewing in her mind. Although it was not normally commonplace for the teen to be suspicious that fact of the matter that she wasn't sure of what to do. Debating internally for several long seconds the teen sighed before calling up her henshin pen. It was by far the most "mystical" thing that she owned and yet it was the one thing that she could never show off.
Flexing her fingers around her pen Myrrha's other hand went to once again gently pet Etoile before she lowered her pen so that the kitten could do whatever it was that she wished to do.
The senshi of scents focused her attention on the Mauvian with almost a surreal level of intensity. What was Etoile going to do with her pen? And how would it help her out afterwards?

It was her first time doing anything of the sort, and Etoile didn't know if there was a proper procedure for upgrades, but at the moment, she didn't think about those things... if she was going to think about them at all. Rather, when Myrrha offered her henshin pen to the little cat, Etoile took it, or at least put a paw on it, focusing intently as the pen began to glow... and change. When it was all said and done, the kitten looked back up at the senshi of scents with a very triumphant look on her face. "There! Now, take your pen, and say 'Myrrha Asteroid Power, Make-Up!'"

Knowing that silence was always best when important things were happening Myrrha watched Etoile place her paw over her henshin pen. There was a serious look of concentration on the kitten's face and Myrrha had to admit to herself that whatever was going to happen would definitely make another big change in her life. Her gaze flicked to her pen as a subtle glow surrounded the item. Myrrha almost exclaimed in surprise but kept the sound locked away. It was a good thing too. As she watched, the henshin pen began to change shape, becoming something slightly different but at the same time, nearly similiar to what it had looked like before.
When the process was finished Myrrha gently picked up the newly transformed pen and glanced down at Etoile as the tiny Mauvian instructed her on what to say to activate her new pen. Feeling just a tad sceptical Myrrha held the pen out in front of her and took some deep breaths. What was going to happen? Perhaps she was stalling the inevitable. With a tight clasp on the pen Myrrha took one more deep breath inwards and let it out slowly before calling out the phrase that Etoile had mentioned.
"Myrrha Asteroid Power, Make-Up!"
What followed was something that at first the teen couldn't describe. It was like a normal transformation but the end result was not what she had expected. In the place where once a basic senshi stood, now stood one of increased rank. Myrrha caught herself glancing down at her altered senshi attire with an expression of shock. This was ... new. This was ... different. This was incredible. Reaching down once more Myrrha scooped up Etoile and hugged the kitten to her body. "From the bottom of my heart, thank you."
Pausing a moment later Myrrha glanced down at the tiny kitten in her arms. "It means a lot that you did this for me. Is there anyway that I can return the favor? Is there anything that you need or want?"

"I'm very happy for you!" Etoile cheered, as she was swept up into a hug by the newly upgraded Myrrha, "Now you'll be even more of a help! Not that you weren't before, of course." When Myrrha asked if there was a way to repay her, Etoile looked thoughtful, but her mind (and stomach) were already set, to be honest. "Hmm, well, I do really really love sweets..." she mused aloud, "Lepus usually brings lots of candy for us to eat when we go patrolling, but she's home doing homework..." Admittedly, it wasn't exactly like Etoile was starving or anything, but surely a successful upgrade warranted celebration, right? Like... maybe sundaes?

At first it seemed that Myrrha was still too busy checking out the different aspects in her outfit that she hadn't heard Etoile's reply. Catching herself running her fingers along the intricate patterns on her skirt thought Myrrha gave the kitten a thoughtful grin. "Sweets? I think I can manage that. Is there anything that you like in particular Etoile? I know of a few good shops around the city although most I think would be getting ready to close for the night."
At that statement Myrrha paused and brought out her phone to do a time check. Her gaze narrowed at the display before she sighed. "We might have to do a rain check on a small celebration. I have to be home soon or my parents will freak. We can always meet up later in the week at this spot if that works for you?"
Myrrha was hoping that this would be acceptable to Etoile. She really did wish to show her appreciation to the kitten.

"I'd be happy with anywhere you take me~" Etoile chirped, hoping that Myrhha would take her somewhere really special. Of course anywhere was fine, as long as she got sweets out of the deal, and was properly rewarded for a job well done. When the newly upgraded super mentioned that it was getting late, though, Etoile deflated a bit, having not realized the time. Were her dreams about to be crushed!? But then Myrhha suggested they meet again later in the week, she perked up again with renewed hope. "Oh, yes, we can meet again!" she said, nodding, "I'll tell Lepus, so she knows." Etoile knew that Lepus was always concerned with the possibility of someone abducting the little cat and leaving the chibi senshi cat-less, so informing her beforehand would be a good idea. tefla fin on your next tag then? o/

Myrrha watched Etoile before nodding more to herself than anything. She had an idea on where she would take Etoile on their next meetup and she gave the cat a conspiratorial grin. "If you feel that Lepus would like to join us you are more than welcome to pass on the invite. Would that be alright?"
Myrrha had finalized a date and time in her head and she reached down to stroke Etoile under the chin. "I think that Friday night around 7pm will work well. We can meet here and then find a nearby ice cream shop and enjoy a bit of a reward."
Feeling hopeful that Etoile would be able to make it Myrrha glanced once more at her phone and swore softly. She was going to be late if she didn't leave now.
"I look forward to seeing you again Etoile. Thank you for the conversation and the service that you did for me tonight. I have to hurry home though or my parents won't be pleased I've missed curfew."
