Release was such a wonderful thing, to be freed of a cage that knew nothing but darkness and emptiness. The creature was aware, there was something that called to it, beckoned to it. Destruction, it craved. But for destruction, it would need others darkness. It couldn’t escape that, it knew, but it could use it. It would use it. The freedom to do so was now. The wraith, large with a form that most weren’t suppose to see but black as the shadows that dripped from its body flew from trees and the sky. It perched itself on the top of a fountain, in the grand park of Destiny City where it held its arms out. Darkness swirled from everywhere, around it and through it and on the ground where there was once pretty grass and stone was now covered in a thick swirling black mist. Anyone nearby would feel drained...negative, tired but...even worst, the shadow fog echoed the sounds of despair and even more. The fog was spreading, latching on to anyone it touched. The wraith in the middle grew and grew until its form was more complete, thick vines of darkness that touched the water and sizzled, the ever shifting foliage of its face that never was anything more then leaves and vines. The cloak that covered the rest. It’s power was at the beginning of its peak and its darkness called to all to come and fight it. Come and see it. Come and be it.

gaia_crownSetting: Destiny City’s Grand Floral Park
This park is a 5 acre multi use park. The outskirts of the park are large fir and pine tree’s, with many trails that allow for walking of animals, horseback riding and hiking. The inner part has been civilized for small parties. There is one large fountain pond, surrounded by gazebos with benches and walkways surrounded by various different flower bushes. With Spring coming in, the plants are giving off a heady scent in the brisk air as well as delicate blooms.
There is large waves of chaos aura coming from the park, calling to all that feel the aura's.
gaia_crownTime: The wraith landed on the fountain at about 8pm and it’s foggy darkness has spread to the edges of the civilized area of the park. Streetlamps and small garden lamps light the area, but they are a faded light and weak as the fog thickens.

However, each player is allowed to make normal interaction post with each other. Unfortunately, Player vs Player fights are not available in thread (unless induced by madness prompt) but I do encourage them outside of the event with the setting (and even with the madness prompts).
If your character loses all their HP, they are allowed to rp normal interactions but they can no longer attack the boss.
gaia_nitemareleftMadness prompts: gaia_nitemareright Madness is the fog that has surrounded the park and that curls in thick tufts. It’s cold and warm at the same time. It feels heavy on the body and the more one is exposed to it, the more its effects linger.
BONUS: Transcendent senshi will receive only madness up to stage 20-40. They cannot go beyond that level as they are protected by their wonders energy. They may sacrifice one attack turn to purge all madness from a character.
DMC: You may purge one character (or yourself) of madness by using a mirrorshard to absorb their(your) madness, however the mirror shard must be destroyed immediately.

There is something slithering in the darkness, it grabs you by the ankles, it rips you under. There is darkness and then there is mirrors, mirrors everywhere. There is a girl with white hair, a box in her hands. She lifts the lid of it with one, something oozing out of it slowly. You tell her not to, but she does and what comes from it, is your pandora, your secret. (This can be soloed, or rp’d with others. In this state, your attack now does half the damage it normally would. Spells cannot be cast.)
gaia_star80-100: Your body is burned by chaos, there is visible remains of the dark tinged fog. It seeps into your bloodstream (or so it feels), you feel like you are being consumed. It feels like something is watching you. It makes a slithering sound in your head, it whispers of all your darkness, it drowns out any reason. You are weighed down. Everything is a enemy. (In this stage, your character is fully MAD. They will attack anything they see. Roll a 20 sided dice, if 1-15, your next attack will hit the person above your current post. If 16-20, your next attack will hit the boss for DOUBLE the damage.) ((Bonus: If you so choose, The fog has left either temporary or permanent burns from chaos. After the battle, your character will suffer from excessively negative thoughts, as well as small lingering voices, This chaos can be purged by visits to wonders or by partaking in energy shares from Transcendent senshi.))

When Ara felt the strange aura she immediately headed in its direction. It was an aura unlike anything she had ever felt, it reminded her a bit of the big youma she had fought a little while ago but it wasn't a youma. That much she could tell.
As she arrived on the scene she was struck with fear. A tall figuring resembling a grim reaper stood on a fountain as dark fog rolled off of him. It was cold sending a chill down her spine. She gripped her bat as she swallowed the lump of fear in her throat and charged at the unknown monster.
She felt tendril of darkness cut into her as her attack seemed to harmlessly bounce off of the monster. 'Weak, useless little girl what do you think you can do here?' A voice whisper her doubts in the back of her mind. She shook off the thoughts though, was the monster messing with her.
Hy-Brasil had only just set out for the night. In fact, upon powering up she could feel the heavy, dark aura of chaos and it was not something she had ever felt before. Not to the extent that she felt in that moment. It was like chaos was engulfing a part of the city itself and that was a very uneasy and alarming thing to feel. Without hesitation, the squire hurried towards the location which she could sense the aura and found herself in the park proper.
The wraith was a dominating figure. Fog swirled and marred everything it touched, and Hy-Brasil worried that maybe someone, a civilian, had gotten caught within it. After all, it was still a busy enough time that people would be out and about! "s**t." She remarked as her eyes roved over the area for any possible casualties, but didn't spot anything in particular. It looked like mother nature had taken the major brunt of chaos's touch.
It was best to try and rid the blight as quickly as possible though, and others were beginning to gather. Perfect. Hopefully this wouldn't take too long if enough Order arrived. Hopefully, was the key word there.
Not wanting to give the thing a chance to further it's reach, Hy-Brasil rushed at it, using her weapon like a club as she swung at the chaos laden wraith.

Magnus had planned to enjoy his evening wandering a new building he had run across. It looked like an old theatre or something, but it looked like there could be some interesting treasure within. In fact, he had been prowling the outside perimeter to find an easy entrance when the growing presence of chaos caught his attention. Stopping, he turned to look in the direction it was coming from before sighing. "Guess this will have to wait for another night." He wasn't going to just ignore such a signature after all.
Being on the bigger side, Magnus made quick work of making his way to the park. After all, he was a cat who roamed Destiny City and knew many short cuts and small holes that only a Mau of his size or smaller could squeeze though. So, within minutes he was dashing across the grass to where the wraith was. He had no expected to see such a sight though.
Blackness in the shape of an eerie fog spread out around the creature. Everything it licked was deprieved of energy, drained dry and left a husk of what it had once been.
He noted that Order members were arriving. "Be careful of the fog!" He hollared as he rushed to the gathering group.

Well that was odd... Acubens had been out for just a few moments when something... strange... pulled at her senses. She called the wraith back to its mirror shard and followed the feeling as it pulled her along. She was like a moth, drawn to some kind of unseen light... unaware of the reason for the call and unable to resist it.
And unable to stop whatever damage it was ******** had to be the single biggest, ugliest, most terrifying mirror wraith she had ever had the displeasure of laying eyes on. It made her think twice about all the times she called Bruce* cute and tried to pet him like a house cat. Damn... well, she guessed. There was only one thing that she could do now. Next to her there was a sidewalk lamp, about three feet in length, stuck into the ground. One heart kick loosened it. Another made the ground around it cave and cocked the lamp to an angle. The third freed it. She lifted her new-found weapon high and called the name of her speed attack.
"Velociraptor Agility!"And she was off, racing like a cheetah towards the ugly b*****d with her weapon poised to attack. It broke in half as it hit the beast. Acubens could only hope that it was enough damage for now.

What the ********? Acubens looked around for the source of the voice and, seeing no one, let it slide. Maybe it was another fever coming on.
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Velociraptor Agility Type Offensive Duration and Timing The charge lasts five seconds. She can use this attack once every three minutes, and can only attack twice, with just enough energy left over for a Velociraptor Dash after a five minute charging period. Uses A power up of her first attack, Micah now is able to get up to cheetah speed. Besides that, however, he is also a great deal more agile. She can now turn, for instance, and while it may not be on a dime, at least she can change direction. She can also stop sooner and without having to run into things. Drawbacks Because the turns are still pretty sloppy, it's still pretty easy to dodge Micah's attack. It's still also pretty hard to stop, so Micah might actually end up running into something while she is trying to do so.
*Acubens calls all Mirrorwraith Bruce and tries to pet them all like they are cats. There is no reason for this, and nothing ever happens. The Mirrorwraith never answers to it's name, it never purrs when she tries to pet it. Acubens acts in mysterious ways.

"Lepus," Anakeion groaned, one hand to her forehead with such blunt force she felt like her skin would go white, "what did I say, not again -- seriously?" The park was already turning into a warzone not even a few minutes after the appearance of the giant wraith, and she knew there was no way she was going to keep Lepus and Etoile out of it; not with them charging into danger. They'd been at the huge fight last month, too, she still felt guilty as hell for not being there -- but she'd keep them safe here, because there no was no force in the world that would change a young girl's mind.
Or a cat's mind. Those were basically the same thing, really.
She called her staff to hand and bounced it against the ground, anxious, ready to go.
Another night, another fight. They were getting bigger, meaner, more... impersonal. And this one was the strangest she'd seen since aliens had landed in Destiny City, really. And when a girl couldn't say that aliens were the strangest thing in her life, s**t was getting weird. It was a nice night, overall, but this place- whatever this thing was infesting the park-
She made her way through the mist without hesitation, wrinkling up her nose at the Silent Hill feel that was coming 'round. And when she saw the enemy, she didn't hesitate to call her magic to hand, wrinkling her nose and glancing around.
Ara. Hy-Brasil. Acubens.
People she knew here, at least, some of them already also engaging in combat, and she moved closer to the scene, looking for a good vantage point to better use her magic. "Wary of the fog!" she called back to the guardian cat that had spoken- "Got it. I see our dry ice machine, but did anyone see how it got here?"

He was new to this whole senshi and dark mirror thing, there was no way to deny that, but he was pretty sure that the aura which slammed into his senses was not good. It was wrong, really strong, and he didn't like it. For several moments he considered heading home, or to Caleb's, and curling up under the bedding and sleeping. It was a nice idea, comforting and pleasing, but he had to remind himself that he should do something...that he wasn't just a normal civilian in this city anymore. He actually had things he had to do...
With a great deal of reluctance, since he really wouldn't mind sleeping, Kiuchi followed after that great darkness he felt. Passing the gates that led into the park he headed toward the fountain. It was only when he spied the fog that he stopped in his tracks, before he could touch it, and stepped back a pace...or two.
Glancing about he wondered just what was going on and who these people were...and was that a cat? Yup, it looked like a cat and they were calling out to be careful of the fog - good idea. He was planning to avoid it already but he was sure to heed the cats words. Deciding the cat might have a bit more a clue than he did, as most surely did, he made his way over towards the cat. "U-ummm...do you have any idea what is going on?" Bending down so he was on level, or at least closer to it, with the cat.
Dark Mirror Sailor Acubens: 65/70 Stage: Eternal Madness: 5/100 Attack: - Boss HP: 376/400 Spell: Attack (+2)
There was a familiar face. Acubens, having done almost no damage to the massive thing, took a step back, breathing hard from her sudden run. She retreated back to Scylla's vantage point to regather her energy, impromptu iron weapon slung over her shoulder.
"That," she pointed to the giant thing currently wreaking havoc on the park, "Is a mirrorwraith of some kind. I'm pretty sure. They live in these." She pulled a shard of mirror from the pouch around her waist, about the size of her palm. "They are our tools for collecting energy, and become more tangible when they consume it. Judging by our friend here, it looks like he's already had a good bit." She shoved the shard back in her pocket and went on, "the thing is, most mirror wraiths super small, only about this big," she held her hands about a foot apart, "so this monstrosity is... well he's different. By the time I got here, he was already present and well on his way to energy draining." The good news, which she did not divulge to the other senshi, was that this wraith might be creating a surplus, despite the fact that it needed to be destroyed.
"So maybe do that tentacle thing that you did to me a while back. We need all the help that we can get."

It had been the first time in awhile that Lepus had run into Anakeion again while patrolling, and it seemed that in during her absence, she had gotten an upgrade, too. There was, maybe, a part of Lepus that was just a little jealous, but mostly she just thought it was cool. Along with Etoile, the three of them had been patrolling together, Lepus telling the squire about some of the things she'd been doing lately, when the chibi senshi of rabbits had detected the unmistakable aura of chaos, coming from the direction of the park.
In typical Lepus fashion, the preteen had taken off, Etoile in tow, before Anakeion could attempt to say (or do) anything to try to stop her. Not that it would have done any good- Lepus was an unstoppable force, a mighty chibi senshi who would not be stopped by any adult. But then Anakeion caught up to her, and was scolding her, and Lepus shrugged, though she didn't particularly seem sorry for what she did.
"I know how to fight, Anakeion!" she insisted, frowning, "I'm not going to just... ignore whatever this is."

Etoile was perhaps maybe something of an enabler, with the way she cheered on Lepus despite the dangerous things she did sometimes. The little cat was maybe just a little... lacking in common sense at times, or a sense of danger, and from her perch atop her bonded senshi's head, she regarded the squire with an innocent look.
"Don't worry, we'll be fine!" the little cat chirped, as if there wasn't a giant wraith surrounded by a dark despair-inducing and energy-draining fog or anything.

To be fair, Lepus knew the look on Anakeion's face; it was the look of I don't really believe in a God but if there is one they've forsaken me. It was a look Anakeion wore a lot when they both met as their powered personas, and possibly a look she wore a lot when dealing with chibis in general.
"Etoile I will put you in a kennel and there will be only dry cat food for a week," she snorted, leaning down to get hands-on-hips eye level with the tiny kitten, "and you know I'm not joking. Lepus, stay with me or one of the ones with wings, yeah? If you get anything more than a scratch, run. You don't want to have to deal with explaining injuries to your mom." Anakeion leaned back up, resisting the urge to flip her staff only through strength of heart, and slammed it down like a hammer (which was actually kind of impressive, if you thought about it, it was solid glass) at the nearest tentacle. "Hup -" it made solid contact and she grinned, before turning to yell at Scylla.
"Hey! Tentacles! Watch the kid!"
They'll turn on you, whispered something in her mind; but it was just another thought, wasn't it, and she brushed it aside after a second.

He had been patrolling around the neighborhood for a little while, checking if there were any unawakened Senshi or any youma attacking, though he would need to call for back up if there had been a youma. Since he hadn't come across either Hania was about to call it a quits for the night and head back to Kailey's house when the chaos energy showed up. A shiver went up his spine as he took off running in the direction of the park where the feeling of wrong was coming from and showed up in time to see some Senshi, including Dark Mirror Senshi, and another couple of Mauvian's there already with some of them attacking the reaper like wraith that looked to be the source of the trouble.
He heard the other male Guardian Cat(Magnus) call out to avoid the fog and with a little bit of observation he could easily see why. He slung closer to the action, looking around at those already in the area and paused to see a familiar chibi in the fray. He was instantly off like a shot to get between Ara and the wraith, swiping his claws at any part of the wraith that was close to the chibi. "Your attacks are pathetic." His ears twitched at what he was pretty sure he heard but he pushed it away to focus on Ara. "Not what either of us were expecting when we went out tonight I imagine." He said as he looked her over for any damage.
Scylla: 60/70 Stage: Eternal/Third Madness: 10/100 Attack: 1d12 - 1 DAMAGE +2 FROM SPELL Boss HP: 361/400 Spell:1/2 Attack, 1/1 Defense Available Using 1 attack spell, +2 Damage
Scylla raised an eyebrow at Acubens, appreciating that the Dark Mirror added a bit more clarity to a couple things that Scylla had known only the basics of- for example, she'd not known an average size for the mirrorwraiths, but- "That Tentacle thing?" such an interesting way of putting it. It wasn't wrong, by any stretch of the imagination, but it made her power sound so... hmmm.
Common. It was her mother's voice and Scylla almost jumped for a moment, wrapping her arms around herself.
"I suppose I can offer an extra hand," Scylla told the Dark Mirror with a forced smile.
There, too, came Lepus and Etoile, and Scylla bit into her lip, looking at the younger people coming to the fight, to the cats. Ugh, she was turning into a mother, all fretting about the troops.
Useless fool.
Tentacles, a knight called, Watch the kid. "I'm notoriously bad at following orders!" she protested back to the knight, and decided to show just how bad- "Scylla's Hunger!" The power came to hand easily, and she struck out at the wraith.
