Life in their houses was crazy and Cookie always felt like she was lost in the wave of children that lived there. That being said, she at least always had Parfait... to hide behind. All the same, she did have aspirations of being a nurse like Daddu! With Popple going off to med school now, she felt even more inspired to become a nurse.She snuck into her big sister's room while she was off at university and began to look over all her things. There were so many things about medical stuff. Even though Popple was going to learn pet medicine, Cookie was still inspired and in awe! She smiled a rare smile and snitched up one of her big sister's books. "Why didn't she take this one?" the little one wondered.
All the same, she sat on the floor with that big book and began to skim through the pages. There was so many big words that she could barely read, let alone pronounce. "I'll have to ask her about these later..." she said to herself. She wanted to know more about them and what they meant. Especially the words having to do to the heart. There was something so interesting and amazing about the heart and how it worked, well, as far as she could gather from some of what she was reading.
After spending a long time, lost to Cookie on how long it was, the little hybrid finally closed the book. Her head was spinning with big words and so much information. There was still so much she could try to learn about, but even with the dictionary in the back of the book, there was so much that she still didn't understand.
She sat there, the book resting in her lap as she tried to take in everything that she just learned, but all it did was make her head spin. "Maybe there's a kid version of this stuff..." she pondered to herself. There had to be! Even kids got interested in adult things at young ages. "Maybe Daddu can help me get books about it!" she said to herself excitedly. With that, the little grimlin tucked the book back where she got it from, which was harder than she thought it would be since it was harder to lift back up, than take down from the table. "Shoo..." Cookie panted as she finally got the large book up on the table. That was quite the task to do.
"Hmmmm... Maybe I should go talk to Daddu and see if he can help me out with this stuff and get me some books!" This was the most excited she'd even really been about anything, especially considering the fact that she was so shy and mostly hid away, just using her sister as a shield from the world. Maybe finding something of her own to be excited about would help her grow to not be so hidden from the world, and from her family at that. Though that could take some time since there was still so many of them!
Running out of Popple's room, but not without shutting the door behind her, Cookie ran to see if Daddu was home to talk to him about getting books and understanding things better!
