xxＰＥＲＳＯＮＡＬＩＴＹ: Sullivan usually comes off as a reserved and quiet individual to others, mostly due to the communication barrier that exists with him being deaf. However, when he is actually communicating with others, it is clear he is a jovial and expressive individual, who is for the most part nothing but friendly. He's adaptive and does his best to try and make clear what he's saying to others best he can; he's got incredible patience because of it and tends to be rather laid-back in most situations.
He's not easily offended and tends to laugh off misunderstandings. There's only a few buttons he has that tend to trigger him into anger and while he tries to communicate out his feelings first to resolve problems, he will not hesitate to punch someone if they provoke him like that. He's competitive to a tee and hates people trying to go easy on him; he will take advantage of that in competitions until they learn better. Sullivan tends to be a good sport otherwise.
Sullivan is an active individual as well; he enjoys playing various sports, rollerblading and outdoor activities like hiking, scuba diving, surfing, tracking and whatnot. He's also taken an interest in the medical field, especially in regards to pokemon.

xxＢＡＣＫＧＲＯＵＮＤ:
The beginning of Sullivan’s life was rather rough; his parents weren’t married and his father walked out on them when he was young upon learning that his son was deaf. His mother did her best on her own to take care of Sullivan and make sure he got what he needed to grow and become independent while also working several jobs to support them. Once he was a little older, Sullivan would do what he could to try and help her, even walking himself to his own lessons so she wouldn’t have to rush after work. It was a struggle but they managed to get by.
Eventually his mother met someone else who was far more considerate to the situation and eventually they were married and Sullivan found himself incorporated into a much larger family. It was a bit hard to adjust but eventually, he ended up loving his adoptive family and finding his place. Even after a rather nasty confrontation with his biological father that left him with his scar, things have been nothing but bright.
Recently, since he expressed his interest in the medical field especially in regards to pokemon, his mother and step-father encouraged him to go out on a bit of a journey to learn some more about pokemon so he could pursue his dream. He was a little uncertain about that, given the situation but eventually he was convinced and is now heading out to give it a go.
