It was supposed to be spring now, but it didn't feel like spring. To Lepus, the changing of seasons had signified warmer weather, the end of the cold winter, and the growing of plants. The past few days had been deceptively warm, albeit windy, but as soon as the sun had set, Lepus had found herself having to wear a coat still when going out patrolling. The small senshi was ready for the cold weather to be over, suffice to say, and she was pretty certain Etoile was, too- yet again, the little cat had declined to patrol with her, preferring the warmth of the indoors. Sometimes, Lepus wondered if all Mauvians were like that, or if Etoile was just special; the small pool of magical cats that she personally knew made this hard to tell. As she made her way down the usual path, Lepus pondered maybe going to buy a cup of something hot, to keep warm, but remembered that she had recently spent her allowance on buying an assortment of marshmallow peeps for her and Etoile to try. Resigned to her fate, the chibi senshi of rabbits bundled further into her coat, wondering when the weather was going to finally shape up. A power signature suddenly caught her attention, and Lepus recognized it was that of a page. The only page she really knew was Anakeion, who the preteen hadn't seen around lately, and so Lepus felt a little hopeful- maybe she'd run into the Castor page again, and maybe get her to buy her a cocoa or something? Upon catching up with the source of the aura, however, the chibi realized that the page in front of her was not the one she had been hoping to run into. Lepus scowled, already disappointed. "Who are you?" she demanded, wanting to know who this person was and why she was dressed so similarly to her friend.

The warmth of these spring days wasn't as warm as she'd have liked, still needing a heavier jacket than she wanted to be wearing, but the nights...those were even worse when she was powered up. She figured most of the blame was on the uniform she was both blessed and cursed with, though mostly cursed. Tonight was no different from the previous few nights...she was powered up and wearing a coat which covered most of her up, and kept her nice and warm. If it wasn't so windy it might be tolerable...with a coat, but not the one she was wearing currently...something lighter.
Dressed similar...and it was only visible because she'd had to open her coat in order to reach her back and get at an itch she had. The coat was heavy enough that she couldn't scratch the itch away through the coat, a shame really. She also wasn't able to pull her arm inside the coat to itch, the coat was too form fitting for that. So her coat was open for now, with her hoping no one would walk by and notice what amounted to holding a neon sign that flashed 'Terrorist' since she was sure most people in this city would think that with a look or two at her uniform.
With all the news reports, videos, and pictures of senshi, knights and negaverse agents the people of this city certainly knew what constituted as a terrorist...and she looked like one under the coat.
Feeling someone headed her way, a senshi, she didn't hurry to get her coat buttoned up amd rather continued to handle the itch that was bothering her. She had tried to ignore it, hoping it would go away, but it was one of those itches that wouldn't go away on it's own.
That done she was just moving to button her coat back up when she heard the question and lifted her pale blue eyes to the figure. "Oh...Gorner - page of Castor. You?" One of the little ones...damn. She'd heard of them, seen them from a distance, but never had she met one close up.

"Chibi Lepus, of rabbits," Lepus replied, affixing Gorner with a suspicious look, "So you're one of the knights, too?" That Gorner was the same as Anakeion made Lepus wonder just how many of them were there, but that wasn't really important at the moment; she could ask Anakeion sometime... if she ever saw her again. Maybe she should just send a text- she did have Anakeion's number, after all. "If you're a Castor page does that mean you know Anakeion? She's my friend, but I haven't seen her in awhile," Lepus said, hoping maybe to get some answers. Personally, she assumed that all knights knew each other or something, like some sort of knight network.

Rabbits, well that was cute, and it seemed fitting. Something cute and cuddly should be a sphere for a little baby senshi, she just thought the little ones should have the cuter spheres unlike some of the spheres she'd seen, and heard, other senshi had. "Yeah...I'm a knight also. You know someone else?" And she didn't have to wait long for her answer. Another Castor page? Or so she assumed. It wasn't a name she knew, maybe she should though? She really didn't know if they were important or just another knight like herself.
"No, I don't know them...I assume they are another Castor knight though?" She asked, seeking clarification, to be assured that they also were of the same planet she was. "I don't know them...but maybe I can find out..." She offered slowly, even though she was wondering just how the hell she could find out. She was sure if she tried she could...she could always track someone down and it seemed like there was some network of senshi and knights and eventually you would find whoever you were looking for, no matter who you started with it would branch out. So she could try.
"Are you good friends with them?" She would assume so but she didn't want to just go on assumptions here, that wasn't always a smart thing to do. She was going to play it safe and just ask about things, find out answers so she knew as much as she could so maybe she could help...

"That's right, Anakeion's a Castor knight... page... magical person," Lepus confirmed, nodding; she had thought it obvious enough from her words, but adults always seemed to only hear what they wanted to hear, which was always only part of what Lepus said. When Gorner replied in the negative as to knowing Anakeion, the chibi senshi's look of suspicion grew in intensity. "Seriously? So you don't know who she is? Why, though? You're both from Castor- or like, magical people of Castor- do you guys like... not have some sort of mailing list or group chat or something?" "Anyway, yeah, we're really good friends," Lepus continued on, frowning, "We know each other's real names and stuff? And she let me punch her once."

"We're all knights...but there is also the rank of knight - it's confusing I know. The same for senshi being what you all are but also the lowest rank." Why it was so confusing she had no idea but it was...well a bit hard to figure who someone was talking about, if they were talking about just a knight...or someone who was of that rank. Why couldn't they have come up with other words? It would make things just a bit easier and this being a war things were already difficult enough as is - right?
Laughing at the youngers questions he shook her head. "No, we don't. We are as diverse and split up as the senshi are. Though I suppose you all being of different planets it would make more sense. But we are all reborn souls, of some sort, and we grew up as different people here so it makes sense in that way. Maybe I'll suggest some mailing group or a chat or something when I run into her." Maybe she'd mention it to Castor himself, just for the laugh over how cute the idea was. It wasn't likely a good idea to be put into action though. Computers weren't the most secure of things after all...though the likelihood of being found out was slim...she just didn't like taking the risk on something like that.
"That's good. You two certainly are close to know each other's civilian names. I'm glad you have such a good friend." Everyone needed other people for them in this mess, especially the little ones in her mind. "if you want - we could be good friends also. So long as you don't call me by my name where the Negaverse can hear." Like in a battle of anything. "You can call me Keely...or Key for short."

Lepus was a little taken aback at Gorner offering up her real name like this, but if the page wanted to be friends with her, too, then who was she to complain? Making friends with college students made her feel cool, or something along those lines. Maybe it was just the possibility of free homework help. "Oh, uh, sure," Lepus said, pretty onboard with this idea, "Mine's Aliseanne, but everyone calls me Alise. Like... nobody ever calls me Aliseanne, except substitute teachers." A pause. "And maybe my mom when I'm in trouble. Anyways... I'd ask if I could add you to my contacts on my phone, but I guess you don't have a phone like senshi do, do you?" Sleet Tempest Snape we can wrap this up in the next post or two if you want

"Or teachers on the first day of school - right? They never get it until you tell them and subs will never get it." They simply weren't around long enough to do that, though she also suspected they simply didn't care. She suspected most didn't want to make a connection to the kids they were teaching since it wasn't a permanent thing...and that was fine by her, as she understood it.
"So I'll call you Alise from now on so long as you call me Key." She said smiling down at the other. "Mothers, and fathers, always call full names when you're in trouble...mine still do when they are upset with something I do." Like the first time she went bungee jumping off a bridge....there had been a lot of Keely's followed by her last name as well, just to show how upset they were with her.
"No, I don't. I know we have rings and they can upgrade to work like a phone...but I don't have mine yet. Once I get it I promise I'll add you to it so we can talk easier."

"Ugh, yes, you understand so much," Lepus commiserated, finding a kindred spirit with Gorner- or Key, rather. Honestly, she never understood why her mother had to go and give her such a long and old-fashioned name like 'Aliseanne'; one of these days, she was going to go and legally shorten it. (Admittedly, though, 'Aliseanne, Mistress of the Night and Princess of the Void' had more weight to it than if she was simply 'Alise'.) "That's too bad, though, about your ring. If you get it soon, find me again and let me know! I go through the park a lot. Usually," she said; the park usually seemed to always be a popular place for both senshi and Negas (and youma) alike, so it was a common patrol route. "Until then... I guess I should be going now. My mom's going to ground me for life if she figures out I'm out this late."

"Of course, I'll let you know. I have to find it, apparently, at my wonder. Only I've yet to go..." She just hadn't found an interest in it. She was curious, of course, but an interest...not too much. It didn't get her adrenalin going and didn't make her wanna jump around or go running off into something mildly dangerous.
Laughing she nodded her head. "Then you'd better be silent when you get into your home and not alert your mother. Be safe...and don't get caught. It would be no good if you got grounded and I got my ring and couldn't find you to tell you." Just by how she spoke she knew she was going to have to go up there soon and find it - damn it.
Time to give into the curiosity and hope there was some adventure to be found at her wonder...something exciting. Maybe she'd bring the chibi senshi with her? If it was safe, so she'd have to go alone the first time. She didn't mention this to the little one though, she would next time - after she'd gone on her own.
"Just remember...teachers are older than you...most are ancient. So they are bound to mess up your name and keep forgetting it. You have to just accept it. It's what I did in school." Shrugging she hoped the bit of advice, playful in nature as it was, brought a smile to the others face and helped a bit with teachers messing things up.
"Now, you better go and again - be safe."

"I'm always safe," Lepus insisted, with an air of confidence, but nodded. It was definitely time to go. "See ya around! Don't be a stranger!" Lepus called out, and with a little wave, she was hurrying on her way back home, determined to get back into the house as stealthily as possible without being caught.
