Finally getting a foothold, Mash'al struggled to scale the remainder of the sloped cliff overlooking Zenner. At its peak he watched the scheming fur beast retreated into the forest surrounding the village, “Back to the forest, eh?” He mused, 'What is the worst that can happen...' Mash'al assessed the damage sustained from his previous miscalculation, 'Just a scuff.' he confirmed, expelling a sigh of relief. A fall from that height could have been detrimental to his excursion; leaving him unable to continue his campaign to capture the wily Telmna.

Taking a few more moments to adapt to the altitude Mash'al was able to catch his breath and begin the descent to the forest below. Rising to his feet at a leisurely pace, Mash'al followed took a less hazardous route to continue his pursuit.

Stepping into the forest was a whole different atmosphere. The mountains held a brisk, sharp wind, that bit your lungs with each breath; it was freezing; to a desert man. Despite its downsides, there was a fresh, crisp scent to the air and it made the mountains almost bearable. The forest, on the other hand, held a whole new type of unpleasantries. It was warmer than the mountains at first, but the air was musky and stagnant; it clung to you like a wet shirt, and after its eerie musk managed so seep deep into your bones it got progressively colder. Mash'al did his best not to let the elements steal much attention from his objective as he scoured his surroundings for any clues on the whereabouts his prey.

After what seemed like a solid hour of searching Mash'al paused for a minutes rest. 'This is impossible,' He told himself, feeling his jaw involuntarily chatter as the forests' mist wove its icy voodoo into his bones. It was becoming very apparent that this creature had no interest in being captured, and if it was even truly injured the Telmna had its own way of dealing with it. Trudging through these less than pleasant conditions hardly seemed worth it. As Mash'al gained his sense of direction he turned for the direction of the village to see that ridiculous fur beast standing in his path; just standing there as if to mock him!

Locking eyes with the devious creature, Mash'al motioned for his whip. As if to test his resolve, the Telmna flinched as though it were toying with the idea of bolting, but it stayed and watched him just as intensely. He found himself stuck in a bit of a conundrum and hesitated, hand hovering just out of reach of his weapon, "What's your game, little gremlin~" He snarled, inching every closer to the seemingly innocent Telmna. The building hostility left him wanting nothing more than to wring the pathetic creatures' neck.

Twitching its ears, the fur beast flicked its tail a few times in a wild fashion then began chattering a series of squeaks and clicks; the bushes just to his left began quivering. Naturally intrigued, and becoming increasingly paranoid about this entirely foreign environment, Mash'al turned to peek at the bush, pulling his attention from his whip just long enough for him to be unknowingly disarmed.

A second, less cute telmna popped up from the brush. Tipping its head to the side just so, it blinked its pale green eyes and watched him curiously. “Called in some reinforcements, did you?” Mash'al sneered, “They're not going to be saving you!” He hollered while reaching for his weapon and finding it missing. Snapping a glance to his emptied holster Mash'al found the tip of his whip dangling inches from his face, “what the-” he began while following the length of his weapon with his eyes to find a third Telmna clutching the handle while snickering at him. “You think this is a game?!” Mash'al seethed, still staring in disbelief that he had been bested by these three forest creatures.

Before Mash'al could try for his weapon the second Telmna sprung from the bush, scratching and biting as it spiraled his form. He staggered away from the tree concealing the third telmna, trying to grab for the frisky creature. Before long he found himself stripped of his scarf. “Seriously?!” he howled while watching a banner of red trail off into the darkening forest. To top it all off, While he was distracted the other two Telmna managed to vanish as well, leaving him stripped of his weapon, his warmth, and his sanity.
