The blueblood behind the booth stares intently through tinted shades. Her upper lip twitches. Was that an attempted smile or deliberate scowl?

At this particular booth, behind the counter are specially designed vests and laser guns. There is a moderately sized building beside it with no windows. Inside is an arena filled with mazes, catwalks, towers, etc. This is your typical game of laser tag, but Malice will insist it is a serious training exercise.

As the blueblood explains, she progressively gets more and more impatient. "Your mission is to annihilate the enemy team by racking up as many points as possible, by any means necessary. Players pick a faction, green or pink- pretty self explanatory. To accumulate points, aim for the lights on enemy players. There are enemy dummies and target points around the arena- you want to aim for those as well. I'm not responsible for any injuries, yadda yadda. Just- just put the damn vest on and shoot things. And don't be a moron and shoot your own team. I'll be watching you." She points at a large screen behind her. "NEXT."

Green Minuet and Micillia are both given permission to hand out tickets at rollover, count points, and judge Play of the Day if blackbird cake is unable to.

Rollover is at 12am PST, but tickets and other things may not be handed out until 6am.

If you have any questions, please @birbie in the #bloodfest2017 discord chat so I see it or talk to me directly!

Roll 2d20s. The first number is your prompt. Follow the prompt chart to determine what is your troll's action. The second number is how many points you accumulate for that roll (how many targets you shoot). You can roll three times per OOC day. All points tallied at the end of your rolls equal your final score. Remember to use the game codes in the next post!

Prompts: Some prompts are just flavor, while others have special circumstances and require further dice rolls, addition and subtraction to your score, and sometimes even termination from the game. You can roll 3 times for prompts to determine your final score at the end of the game, unless you end your game early or have been terminated by a prompt. In order to be eligible for a ticket, all prompts must be responded to with at least two sentences! Compressed dice rolls must be applied in order. For example, if the second prompt says you have been terminated from the game, the third prompt and point amount is null.

Points: Points are accumulated by your rolls and occasionally prompts. The highest scores on either team at the end of the day receive a Bloodfest ticket. The top scores throughout the week are showcased in the log. Score points can be exchanged for prizes. You can combine score totals from previous games together to save for bigger prizes, however these point balances do not apply to new game scores. Only when the day has been rolled over to a new game can you use the previous day's score for prizes. Players are also responsible for keeping track of their points and will suffer great consequences if caught cheating.

Party: Some players prefer to play alone, while others stick together and use numbers to their advantage. It is up to the players whether they want to be on a team, though it is recommended that if you are going to be in one, you must be prepared for party prompts that require working together OOC. Some prompts favor parties, while others do not. Members in a party stay together until the end of the game and cannot be changed.

Inventory: Your inventory is items that can potentially help or destroy you. Some items may not become available until later in the game, some might disappear. You can purchase inventory items from the prize section of this booth. They also have a one time use, so if you use it for a prompt, you no longer carry that item.

Prompts may change or shift around daily as Malice changes the arena! Keep on your toes!

1 - 5

1. Suddenly, a dark shadow blocks the strobe lights. Cold, clammy hands take claim of your body and drag you into a dark corner.
If you are alone: You are terminated immediately and thrown out the back of the arena. Malice shakes her head disapprovingly.
If you are in a party: Your party hear your pleas and have a choice to save you from this mysterious being and keep you in the game at the cost of - 10 points to their score, each. If they opt out, see "If you are alone". Let's hope you have some nice team players.

2. In an attempt to avoid enemy forces, you flee around a corner and run straight into a wall. You are knocked unconscious.
If you are alone: Enemy players take turns shooting at your vest and walk over your body. ( - 20 )
If you are in a party: Your party members help carry you to safety until you regain consciousness. ( - 5 )

3. Somehow you've shot yourself? Nice going. A voice appears over the intercom. "I saw that." ( - 5 )

4. Amidst all the chaos, you find an unattended target point hidden behind some grates going unnoticed. Until now.
Roll 3d6. Your accuracy doesn't matter! Take all the points! All of 'em! ( + total of the numbers you rolled )

5. Someone's dropped a protein bar in the chaos! It pumps you up and gives you that energy you need to keep going! ( + 5 )

6 - 10

6. You get knocked in the eye by your own team member's gun! Hey! We're on the same team here! ( - 5 )

7. Some random wriggler is relentless in the arena, physically attacking other players with startling ease. The wriggler jumps from one of the catwalks onto your back.
Roll 1d6. If you roll less than 3, you struggle pathetically and the kid bites you and takes off after a quick shot to the gut. ( - 15 ) If you roll 3 or higher, you make an effort and manage to lose them. ( - 5 )
If you have Jerky: You can avoid this prompt by luring the kid away with food and running the opposite direction.

8. A ladder can be seen leading up to a secret high loft area overlooking the arena.
If you are alone: Perfect! You climb right up and get comfortable. To your convenience, 5 members of the enemy team are wandering aimlessly below you. Take 'em out, soldier! ( + 30 )
If you are in a party: You all climb up and are in uncomfortably close quarters with you. No one can really do anything. You all awkwardly climb down. ( + 0 )

9. You attempt to somersault towards the enemy, but crash into a dummy and knock it over. Better fix it before Malice sees! ( + 0 )

10. You spot a target point! Get it fast!
Roll 6d6s. Just like basic battle mechanics, the first number is your accuracy, second is damage. Repeat for the third and fourth, etc. You must roll 3 or higher on accuracy to hit the target! ( + total of points )

11 - 15

11. A strobe light flashes violently in your eyes. You are blinded momentarily, shooting around yourself frantically. Somehow... you hit someone? ( + 5 )

12. You spot a target point! Get it fast!
Roll 6d6s. Just like basic battle mechanics, the first number is your accuracy, second is damage. Repeat for the third and fourth, etc. You must roll 3 or higher on accuracy to hit the target! ( + total of points )

13. Uh oh. As the game progresses, you slowly realize your gun is malfunctioning and only shoots when it wants. ( - 5 to all remaining point rolls, including this one)

14. You spot an enemy dummy!
Roll 6d6s. Just like basic battle mechanics, the first number is your accuracy, second is damage. Repeat for the third and fourth, etc. You must roll 3 or higher on accuracy to hit the target! ( + total of points )

15. Nothing but head shots, just like you'd planned. You're ahead of the curve. ( + 15 )

15 - 20

16. You run along the catwalk and perform some impressive parkour around the arena! Impressive! ( + 10 )
If you have an Energy Drink: Whoa, so fast! ( + additional 10 )

17. Whatever you did, Malice didn't like it. A callous voice appears over the intercom. "Not in my arena!" ( - 15 )

18. You find a FAULTY enemy dummy! Whoa, this one seems to give you all the points!
Roll 6d6s. Just like basic battle mechanics, the first number is your accuracy, second is damage. Repeat for the third and fourth, etc. You must roll 3 or higher on accuracy to hit the target! ( + total of points x 2 )

19. As if time slows down, you run straight into enemy forces and unload mercilessly with impressive accuracy. You swiftly turn around and with one last shot, you disappear completely untouched. Whoa. Everyone stares in awe. ( + 30 )

20. An epic event of your choosing. Something so amazing, so heroic, Malice even stops you on your way out of the game to praise you for your great work. ( + 50 )

Keionx Rutace Xionek Heronn

Keionx loved anything that involved running around and doing things, even if it was something with ranged weapons. Not her forte, but she at least knew how to use them. Mostly - she'd never done laser tag before, but viewing from the outside, she could see the appeal.

The instructions were mere sidenotes, the slightly unpleasant (but mostly just stoic) booth troll a mere obstacle to the activity to follow. Keionx geared up, picked a faction - green, for reasons unknown even to her - and got in there.

Her constant training hadn't prepared her for this specifically, but it had taught her how to move her a** in enclosed spaces. Keionx ran sideways up a wall, leapt over a wall, and shot an opponent right in the vest.

Wow... she heard behind her, as she shot a dummy.

She beamed behind her disguise, pleased. She did love to be admired - it was one thing to train and train and fight in secret. It was a whole other thing to show that to the world, to do something with it for all to see. In truth, that was why she enjoyed it so much...

'click!'

"Oh, thee..." she snarled at her gun, ducking away from enemy fire as she tried to force her stupid laser gun to fire, chiron-damn it! It apparently had developed a mind of it's own, And that mind is lazy! she thought, determined to finish the game anyway... As if she had a choice.

Right. So. Time was running out. She was pinned. Her gun was not working properly, and it was as essential as her sword in this fight. This was a game.

This was serious business. She was a hero - the chips, as some of the swamp trolls said, were down. It was time to stand up and do whatever she could to save her score. Her team's score.

So she did. She stood up and began shooting, headed for a major choke point in the arena. The threat of lasers was enough to send the enemy into cover - even the fickleness of her gun worked with her. They never knew when a laser was coming, and as often as not, it hit them right in their jackets. Or near their jackets - running while aiming was hard.

Leaping, however, was not. The noises that signaled her scores trailed behind her as she ran from cover to cover, carving - metaphorically - her way to the choke point. A pink team member stood ready to meet her. If she'd run head on, as she did, as seemed to be the only choice, she would probably have been 'taken out'. Instead, right as the opponent troll's finger twitched on the trigger, she leaped.

Tuned muscles, a lightened load, a strong spirit and a beautiful fluke of luck combined to send her sailing up, right onto the ledge. The choke point's walls provided cover as she leapt over them - a far less prodigal leap - and took out the pink-suit. Her team surged towards it - and the objective beyond - as his lights went out, but still the troll blocked them, standing there with his suit dark.

"Move. Thou art being unfair." Keionx demanded.

"Ain't against the rules." he said, leering. The moment his lights came back, he could maybe get a shot off. Maybe not. But he would block people from their goal. "Not that I read."

"Mayhap not against the rules of yon game. Keionx said, freeing her hands and letting the laser hang on the harness, "But tis against the rules of sport and dignity. Now move thy self, or I shall move thee." The rest of the green team shoved against the other troll, but he was too sturdy, and their focus was elsewhere - on the pink team still fighting on the ground.

"Make me." the troll said.

Keionx looked forward to it. "Very well!" she said, charging at him, low and hard. He was ready for this - any troll would be - but at the last second, she pivoted, knocking out his feet and grabbing him from the back. She lifted him up, muscles bulging in the dark light. "Off thou goest!" she declared, throwing him off the platform.

He fell with a thud, his vest blinking pink briefly before he was shot back to darkness. The green team hurried, whooping, into the safer area, then past Keionx and to the objective. Keionx looked around furtively, hoping she would not be expelled for her actions. When punishment was not forthcoming, she followed her team, threatening pursuers with her malfunctioning gun.

As it turned out, shutting down his streak and getting the objective won the game for her team. Keionx beamed from behind her face veil - victory was sweet... and also sweaty. Perhaps a swim after this...

Azrael went into this with only mild expectations. It was more or less a kids game, right? He really wasn't one for guns or targets anyway, it just wasn't him, but for the sake of bloodfest he decided to go for it anyway! only to be ravaged by some child! He could feel his cheeks flush in embarrassment, lucky for him none of his friends or acquaintances had been with him for such a shameful display!

Azrael just could not allow such a shameful event to besmirch him. He decided to take this seriously and was going to make every shot and point count. He couldn't help but smirk at his own capability this time around. He may not be savage but there was no way he was going to let anyone think of him as weak, especially not young wigglers!
