The office Sherry had been given directions to for the study was more of a small closet, cleared out of everything except for a folding chair, a secondhand couch, and a drawing of window looking out on a bright sunny day (complete with drawn windowframes) that had been meticulously adhered to the wall for whatever comfort a false window would provide.
Charlotte herself was already inside, seated on the folding chair with a clipboard in her lap. She didn't even look up when Sherry arrived - she was deeply engrossed in an 'alternative science' magazine entitled Third Eye Press. If Sherry looked over her shoulder just right, she could see an article on haunted hotspots in Canada.
