The weather was improving, which was nice but she was still inside today. At least she wasn't at home. She was currently enjoying her time at one of the local club centers, this one happened to have a Library in it and she was taking FULL advantage of that. Taking her copy of Northern Birds she went and sat by one of the windows and started skimming through it in an attempt to name each of the avians that were chilling outside. Ever since she had made her new friend that had a love for birds she figured she'd do what she could to learn up on them. Plus it would be more for them to talk about when they saw each other next. Playing with a strand of her silver hair she flipped through the pages slowly just minding her own business.

Benji, surprisingly, had a favorite book. Despite his salty spirit, he rather enjoyed reading when his mind wasn't railing with other things and priorities. This Favorite book was about a young woman named Jackie who had SO many adventures. Unsurprisingly, Benji had an issue with bullies. This particular bully was teasing another boy between the aisle whom Benji had once been talking to. Obviously, he did not take that in kind. "You flying ******** a*****e, get the ******** out of here! Like you can even read, you giant dumbass!" he hissed loud enough for the bully to hear after having been punched in the stomach by Benji. The bully fled the scene, and as did the bullied boy who had his book clenched in his hand. Then Benji was left alone. And he was pissed, as always. He stormed to the chairs near the window and flopped into one, a string of colorful curses coming from his mouth. God did hate bullies! AstoriaFallen STILL DON'T HAVE CIV ART OF BENJI AHAHAAHA xD

Kapoodles I'm sure you'll get him some eventually lol As occupied in her book and bird watching that she was, she still couldn't help but overhear the very loud and very sudden presence that was Benji. His colorful language made her flinch slightly and she lowered the book and turned to look in the direction the shouting had come from since it seemed he was getting closer. To her dismay the young man took a seat nearby and she gave a small grumble as more words fell from his mouth. "Those aren't very nice words." She said softly towards him before returning her attention to the book she grasped.

"You know what else isn't a nice word? Eavesdropping." Benji quickly retorted to the younger girl who had audacity to poke at his language. He wasn't usually such a jerk to kids, but this particular one had already irritated him by existing so close to a confrontation that didn't go nearly as far as he wanted it to. "Sometimes you need to use mean words to get things done. And it worked, didn't it? That a*****e of a bully isn't going to bother that kid again, not unless he wants to taste my fists against his jaw."

"It's not eavesdropping if it's loud enough for me to hear while reading." She retorted with a small glare his way. What a jerk. She didn't agree with his logic either. "I don't like bullies as much as the next person but still. It doesn't take a bully to beat a bully." She added and went back to her bird watching and researching.

"Says you. Sometimes there needs to be the ultimate bully out there to keep the other bullies in place. I don't make the rules, or how things work, but sometimes s**t's just like that." Surprisingly enough, he wasn't really angry about it. In fact, his voice softened just a little bit. "Have you ever even been picked on? It's been a thing since I was in preschool, and you know what ultimately got them to leave me alone? I fought back. And when they tried to target someone else, I fought them again. It's like working on leather. You have to beat it a few times to make it soft, because talking to it damn well won't work."

She didn't really like his logic behind it and peeked at him over the top of her book as he spoke. She couldn't ever remember really having been picked on, maybe left out but never purposefully picked on. She frowned, "I'm sorry people are mean." She offered towards him sympathetically. She could only imagine how that must feel, having been picked on. At least he WAS trying to stop bullying. Even if he was being a bit of a bully in return. "I'm Nadia." She placed her book down so she could see him fully.

"Hey, kiddo, it's not your fault people are mean. Some are just natural assholes, and sometimes it takes another a*****e, say me, to knock some sense into them and put them back in their place." Seeing that the girl was starting to get off her little high horse and becoming more friendly, Benji decided to do the same. He wasn't trying to be a prickly little jerk, so... No reason to make a stranger hate him when he could fix it. "I'm Benji... Say, Nadia, have YOU ever been picked on? Lunch money stolen? Pants pulled down, head stuck in toilet? Even just name calling? Cuz if you had, maybe you could see why it helps to fight back and defend those who can't."

The teenager listened to him and looked at the ground for a moment as she thought. Well everyone was picked on once in a while weren't they? She remembered once a long time ago someone had poked fun at her cat shirts but she had just let it go. "I guess I can see where you're coming from." She said holding the book against her chest that she had been reading. "But does it really help to fight a bully by being a bully?" She asked him.

"Well, you know what's cool about that question you just asked? We have different opinions, so yeah. To me, it works." Benji was finally reaching the point where he was done with this snobby little brat, so instead of hanging around longer, he got up, heading right out towards the entrance. "And what's even cooler? I couldn't give a flying ******** about your opinion." He called over his shoulder as he finally disappeared towards check out... Ugh.. ******** kids.. AstoriaFallen Figured we could wrap this up! If this works for you, I'll call that a Fin.
