The thud of an unconscious (and very probably dead) body in the ground was a distinct sound. And one that Haumea knew intimately. Only sparing the merest glance down at the rapidly cooling figure he'd drained, the corrupt senshi shrugged internally and turned his focus to the bright ball of energy hanging in the air. Yes, they'd be pleased with this offering at home. With a slight smile and murmur, Haumea willed the energy orb to the Dark Kingdom.
Well, time to go fine the next donor and hope they were as good as this one.
Stepping over the body, Haumea was prepared to hunt all night.

There was a thud - it almost sounded.... squishy? It was heavy, and it somehow echoed and it was a sound that Skadi had never heard before. And unfortunately when she turned the corner and looked up from her cellphone, to her horror there was a body (WAS HE DEAD!?) slumped on the ground. The young Senshi's eyes widened and she tripped over herself trying to take a step back. She gaped at the man that stepped over the body as if it was nothing. "What-" she stammered, "what did you do?" A long breath exited her lungs. Her eyes were darting between the body and the dread-locked man before her. She wasn't sure whether she should be afraid and run, or stay and fight as the anger bubbled in the pit of her stomach. Her hands clenched to tiny fists at her sides and she finally willed herself to take a step forward, icy heels clicking on the pavement. "Undo it. Make him better." Was that even possible? Did she really have any place to be making demands? What on earth was this dude?

As soon as he'd sent the energy away and allowed himself to stop concentrating, he felt the aura of the senshi who'd stumbled across his little operation. Grimacing that he'd managed to repeat Kari and Elvira's little error, he still barked out an incredulous laugh at the little senshi's demands.
"Child, there is no undoing this. This man's energy belongs to the Dark Kingdom and has been sent there. He passed in peace and without violence. Everyone should be so lucky."
He turned to fully face the girl and stood for a moment simply observing. Young. Innocent as well if she couldn't recognize the effects of energy draining. Not one of the child senshi, though. Which meant, she had... potential if he could talk her into coming with him. Or simply grabbing her and making her come along.
"How old are you, little one?"

A ginormous pout replaced her angry face when the Senshi -- was that what he was considered? -- full on laughed at her. Her fists clenched a little tighter, her posture slightly more rigid. "That man's energy belongs to him! Not you or your Dark Kingdom! Bring it back and make him not dead. That's not fair, you didn't have to kill him!" Her anger was starting to boil over into a complete meltdown, hot tears threatening to blossom. Steeling herself as best as she could (which wasn't very well, every emotion she felt was clear upon her face), she took a few more steps towards the Corrupt. Her gaze shifted to his forehead and the gaping black hole in it before settling back down to meet his eyes. Her eyes narrowed and she crossed her arms over her chest. "16," she replied quickly before she realized that what she wanted to say was that it was none of his damn business! Whoops.

"Life isn't fair," Haumea replied drily. "And no one can reverse death."
The clarity of the emotions dancing across the girl's face was intensely amusing, though he was a little surprised that she was sixteen. She acted younger. And certainly her demands that he make his victim 'all better' were very child-like.
"Go home, child," he finally said, not wanting to deal with moralizations. He would give her a single chance to go home and forget this before he took more... impolite action. "You can do nothing for him. Neither of us has the power to reverse death. Just go home."

Go home.The anger in her eyes dropped for just a moment, replaced with a hint of surprise. She had expected a fight, not a demand to leave. Her brows raised and she smiled as sweetly as she possibly could- her face twisted into one of typical teenage defiance. "Screw you," she replied. She clearly couldn't convince him to replace the man's energy and she couldn't just let him walk away after taking a life. Skadi may have been out of her league, but she was supposed to be brave so she refused to back down.

"Thank you, no," Haumea replied with a smirk. "You're not at all my type, girl."
Sighing as if in regret, Haumea eyed the senshi where she stood and decided that she was close enough to lash out at. Moving rapidly, he lunged at her, intending to grab her by the throat and give her a good shaking. Besides, if he could get his hands on her, he could leech some of her energy.
"I did try to play nice, you know."
Sylent Nyte He doesn't have the dude's starseed XD He only drew out an energy orb and sent it to the negaverse

The teenager made a face of disgust, her tongue sticking out slightly at his implications. "That is not what I meant. Ugh, gross." While she may have crushes on boys (or boy...) at her age, she still sort of thought they were icky and had cooties. Sort of. Plus, this guy was like, ancient! Double gross. Distracted by his comment, Skadi didn't expect the other Senshi to move quite so quickly. Before she knew it he was on her, his fingers wrapped around her throat. Immediately her hands went to his wrists, her nails digging into his skin to try and pry him off of her. DaisyMilk My bad! Idk why I assumed that a starseed was involved when you said probably dead at the beginning XD Will edit to fix!

Ignoring the girl's nails as they dig painfully into his skin, Haumea smiled and with a bit of concentration, began to leech away some of her energy. He deliberately allowed the orb to grow where she could see it before hoisting her up off the ground.
"You know, I once had one of your fellows in this position. I had thought at the time to take her home with me and allow one of the General Sovereigns to bring her into our little family. She escaped, but I'll find her again."
He paused for a moment, wondering if he shouldn't use his luring magic to keep this one from trying to get away. Then, he wondered if he could manage to frighten her enough to make her want to run an errand for him. And since she seemed so disgusted and upset by the state he'd left his previous victim in...
Smiling coldly, he reached for his chest with his free hand and plucked out his own starseed for a moment, letting her see it. If only it was as easy for him to do the same to others, he thought with regret. But for now, his own starseed was the only one he could play with.
"Perhaps you can prove useful after all," he said as he bounced his starseed in his hand for another breath before putting it back where it belonged. "I will have a senshi to bring before my General Sovereigns. It can easily be you. I could teleport us both so quickly you'd have no chance of escape. Or..."
Careful to cushion her without seeming to, Haumea slammed the girl down to the ground. No sense in destroying her spine, after all.
"Or you can help me contact my lost, little Elvira."

Gurgling sounds escaped her lips as she tried to catch her breath, Haumea's grasp around her neck tightening as he hoisted her upwards. One shoe slipped off as she kicked her feet when she lost feeling of the ground beneath her. Purple-blue eyes widened at the sight of the energy orb, her energy orb, causing her to thrash in desperation. She gasped for air, and realizing that the thrashing combined with the energy drain was making her weak, she stopped. She wanted to call for her magic but she was both unable to remove her gloves and barely able to speak. When he pulled his own starseed out of his chest, all of the fight went out of her. Her eyes moved back and forth, watching the starseed before she met his gaze once again. Breathing ragged, she gulped as best as she could. How could she be useful to someone like him?Realistically, she probably didn't what to know the answer to that question. "Please," she croaked, tears filling in her eyes. "Please don't," she was pleading as best as she could. If he could be this cruel, she was sure that a General Sovereign would do worse things to her. Suddenly the ground was no longer beneath her feet, rushing up to meet her back and knocking the wind out of her. Skadi was sure she was going to pass out with his hand around her throat and trying to gasp for the air she lost on impact. She was wheezing now, her fingers still dug in at his wrists and hands to try and pry him away from her. "Okay," she agreed. When did she start crying? "Okay, I'll do it," her cheeks were soaked, the steady stream of tears turning into a hysterical sob that shook her entire body. She didn't want to die. Or worse yet, Corrupt.

Smiling and loosening his grip on the girl's throat, Haumea nevertheless kept his hand near her heart. Let her assume that he could take her starseed, it would keep her docile and well-behaved. The energy orb, he sent whirling to the Negaverse with a thought, making something of a production of it for her benefit.
"Good girl," he said approvingly, patting her cheek with his free hand. "I knew you would be sensible. You will find Sailor Elvira and you will give her a message for me."
Trusting to the fact that he'd frightened her too much to try bolting as well as drained away some of that youthful energy, Haumea reared back and got to his feet. Looming over the girl, he crossed his arms and thought for a moment.
"You will tell her that Haumea has not forgotten her and that she owes me a forfeit for my knee as well as depriving me of a little toy to bring before my superiors," he said in a soft, thoughtful voice before smiling like a feral beast and chuckling. "Tell my little Elvira that I will have her and if need be, I will hunt down and destroy everything she loves until I get my wish. Can you remember my message, little senshi?"
He took a step back, watching the girl like a hawk. He'd harvested enough energy for the night. Once he was sure this one could remember his message, he'd teleport home.

Skadi's breaths came ragged and in quick succession when his head released her throat. Her eyes were wide and panicked as they flit between his face and his hand over her chest, then to the energy he stole from her and made disappear into the night. She flinched when he pat her cheek, recoiling under his touch. Purple-blue eyes stared up at him as he rose, remaining completely silent. All she could do was nod a few times in response to his question, slowly and clearly full of fear. And then, as if the entire exchange never happened, the Corrupt Senshi was gone. Just like the man nearby. Just like her energy. Just -- poof, into nothingness. Leaving her to curl up on the floor and sob until she could compose herself enough to get home.
