Lucia raced through the halls with her sparkly pink and gold backpack slung over her shoulders after classes ended. She was super excited she was going to play with Giulia today. They'd walk home together, they could talk about Greek mythology or princesses or cute animals.
Lucia made her way over to Giulia's class, to Lucia it didn't matter if Giulia was younger than her, she was fun and that was all that mattered, after all there were not many kids who wanted to talk about Greek mythology with her.
"Hi Giulia!" She called out waving to her new friend when she saw her. Bright golden eyes lighting up with excitement. "Ready to go to my house?" She asked happily. Infinities Here's a start let me know if I need to change anything

Giulia had been bouncing up and down in excitement almost all day. She was supposed to go home with her new best friend to play, after school, and she would be able to stay until later, because tonight was a Friday (or all day today was a Friday, but tonight was what mattered) and she had no school tomorrow! The teacher had given up on trying to get Giulia's attention, for bright blue eyes were out the window. Giulia had put the books away backwards, tied her shoes wrong, and couldn't stop humming with excitement. She didn't get to play at other people's houses a lot, with lessons and family time, and an 8 PM bedtime- so this was a very special occasion! When they were released, Giulia grabbed her pink backpack, adjusting the light-up wings before racing out the door. "Lucia!" the bounced over to her golden-eyed friend, jumping with excitement. "I am so excited! I wanted to bring toys, but I was told I shouldn't over whale you." Overwhale. Overwhelm. Details. "It's gonna be so much fun!" her voice rose in an excited squeal, and rainbow-painted fingers reached for Lucia's hand."Let's go!"

"It's ok I have alot of toys." As long as she was a good girl and did well in school her parents bought her any toys she asked for so she had quit the collection.
Lucia took the hand offered to her and they began their walk to her house. It was a walk through the city but it was one that Lucia had made many times and it wasn't that far to her house. She could have just had her driver pick them up but she preferred walking it made her feel more mature.
They made their way down the street getting lost in conversation, talking about princesses and Greek heroes. They were interrupted by a low growl behind them. Turning around she saw what could only have been a youma. It looked vaguely like a tiger but it was twice the size of one and it had larger knife like teeth protruding out, It's fur looked like blood as it dripped down its body and it's eyes were black as night.
What was a youma doing out this early. She looked around and the streets seemed deserted.
"We have to run!" She said grabbing Giulia's hand as she pulled her along into an alley hoping to be able to lose the youma as it chased after them.

Giulia loved toys, and couldn't wait to see the kinds of toys that Lucia had! She didn't have very many, since Jada liked to go out and have ex-purr-iences instead, and encouraged imagination and hobbies, but those she did have were her favorites. As Lucia took her hand, Giulia let it swing as she chattered comfortably with Lucia. She didn't get to walk home, the mansion was too far outside the city. So being able to walk with her bestest friend made her feel like a grown up, and she made sure to look both ways at every street crossing, and pay good attention to lights and strangers. Giulia loved all the princesses, and was very excited to share her opinions on Disney versus the Hans Christian Anderson tales. She had so many big old books that Jada would read with them that she wanted to share with Lucia, with so many stories. About gorgons and nymphs and- The growl made them both pause, and when Giulia and Lucia turned around... It was another bad kitty. Clearly a bad kitty, like the one that she had been saved from before. But so big, even Asterion couldn't squish it. But Giulia... Giulia was a princess and she knew they had magical knights out there, protecting the city. We have to run! Lucia said, and Giulia nodded, turning and racing after her friend, the wings on the backpack Mr. Elzo had given her bouncing up and down, lights and shoes flashing brightly. She would run, and she would help protect Lucia until the magical guardians could get here. Bad kitty wouldn't hurt them! They were Princesses! She didn't know who would save them, but everything would be okay. She had total faith.

Dang it, dang it, dang it. She repeated the biggest curse word she knew in her head as they ran. Was there even senshi or knights out this early to come save them. She couldn't transform, not right in front of Giulia.
As they were running the youma was gaining on them, not really surprise considering she wasn't powered and the massive size difference between the two children and the massive jungle cat.
Lucia knew they couldn't out run it they would have to try to hide. Noticing a slightly open door to an abandoned factory she tugged at Giulia's hand. "Let's hide in there."
The only light in the big factory floor was the sunlight streaming in from the high windows. They hide in a corner in the shadows. However shortly there after the youma slowly made it's way in, could it smell them or something how was it tracking them. After a bit of searching around the factory it turned in their direction and began making it's way towards them letting out a low menacing growl. They were trapped.
Reaching into her jacket pocket she pulled out her henshin pen, she would have to apologize to mr. Hania later but she wasn't about to let herself and her new best mate get eaten by an overgrown kitty.
"Ara Power, Make Up!" She yelled and she spun around multi colored ribbon and light enveloping her. As the light faded there stood sailor Ara, the youma backed up clearly displeased at this development it had not expected its prey to be able to fight back.
It leapt at them fangs and claws bared. Ara held her hand up. "Ara Luminescent Starshine!" She called out the name of her magic. A mote of iridescent light formed in her hand and shot out towards the monster knocking it from the air. For a brief moment the whole factory was lite up with the bright light.

Giulia chased after Lucia as the older girl raced ahead, excitement and terror propelling her forward, light-up sneakers and wings bouncing as they raced. What could they do? Where were her magical knights and her magical people? Giulia was scared! But they had to keep moving, had to keep running. The creature was hot on their heels, and Giulia's small legs and small lungs were getting tired, panting as she rushed forward, pain shooting up her feet, backpack beating into her butt. "O-Okay." Giulia's breath was a gasp, and the small girl squeezed her older friend's hand tightly, following her into the big building. Into the darkness. And now they hid, clinging together, the small blonde trying to stop her heavy breathing, calm her shaking limbs. Bright blue eyes peered around, looking nervously through the darkness, trying to see what they could do. Climb higher? But kitties could jump good, and this was a very big kitty. So it surely could jump extra good, right? Lucia let go of her hands and Giulia made a soft noise of distress, catching herself too late, eyes going to the bad kitty, that already knew where they were. Ara Power, Make Up! What? Giulia's head swiveled to watch Lucia be wrapped in lights and bows and then... become a magical princess! Giulia knew someone would save them! And... apparently, it was going to the them! Bad kitty jumped, and Giulia scrambled back, hunkering herself down as bright light smashed into bad kitty. It hurt her eyes and she winced, turning away from the brightness, squeezing her eyes shut. "Lucia!" she wailed, "What's happening?!"

Ara glanced back at Giulia. "I'm a magical hero. That is a monster, it's called a yo-ma." She explained feeling a bit guilty abut not telling her new best friend about this earlier. "Like this my name is Sailor Ara." She corrected her younger friend.
"It wants to hurt us but don't worry I can make it go away." She explained with confidence. She spotted a broken metal bar, she picked it up it was light enough to use and its end was broken and a bit pointy almost like a spear. In her head she imagined she was one of the great Greek heroes. Like Achilles on the fields of Troy, She moved fast, faster than most humans could move.
She intercepted the monster catching it in the chest with her makeshift spear. As the creature collapsed on the floor it let out one last angry growl before Ara fire another blast of her magic. In a flash of iridescent light the monster was nothing more than dust.
She ran over to Giulia. "Are you ok, Giulia?" She asked concerned for her friend.

Giulia gazed up at Lucia- Ara?- as the other girl looked back at her. I'm a magical hero. And Bad Kitty was a monster? Did that mean other bad kitties had been monsters too? The one Asterion had made go away, and her handsome BigKnight? Giuia had known she was a princess- even her best friend was a magical person!!! Ara could make it go away, and Giulia nodded, peeking her head up and looking at her companion. Magic was awesome! Lucia's outfit was so cute, and her bright light-power that made the monster explode into dust was just awesome! Lucia moved so fast and had a shiny, rainbowy bow, and was just... Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She sprang up and bounced, big blue eyes wide. "You're a superhero!" she squealed. "So cool!"

Ara hugged Giulia when she called her a superhero. "That's the nicest thing anyone's ever called me." It was a great boost to her ego to her someone not only call her a hero but a super hero, She would make herself even stronger so that more people would be like Giulia and see her as a hero who could be relied on.
"Come on lets head on to my house. I'll answer any questions on the way." She promised offering her hand to Giulia as she powered down back to Lucia.

Giulia clung to her friend happily. Ara was an actual magical person, like some of the others, and she'd picked Giulia as her best friend?! How lucky!! Giulia was going to be the most awesome best friend, just like.... just like Alya in the Miraculous Ladybug show on TV. Could she start a blog? Should she start filming? She would be the happiest sidekick! "Okay," she agreed easily, letting go so Ara could turn back into Lucia, and taking her hand excitedly. "When did you find out you were magical?" It was the most important question!

"Hmm I found out a couple of weeks ago. See I found this poor kitty trapped in a tree with a couple of mean dogs trying to get him so I chased the dogs away and climbed up to help the kitty get down." She began to regale Giulia with her story.
"It turns out he wasn't just any kitty though, he was a magical kitty from space. And it was his job to find people with special souls, people who used to be guardians of a place in space but were reborn on earth. There areactually more magical people like me including evil magic people who make those monsters. But so the kitty was suppose to find magical people and give them back their powers that they had in their past life." She explained taking a breath from her long winded excited explanation.
"As it turned out I'm one of those magical people so the kitty gave me this pen..." She said showing her henshin pen to Giulia. "And now I can transform and fight bad guys and monsters with it."

"You could have been hurt by the doggies!" Giulia chided her friend, concerned. "Jada says you're not supposed to run at doggies, they could be sick or bite you. Or both! You need to be more safe Lucia." It was a grave concern- what if Lucia had been bitten by the mean doggy? What if the kitty hadn't been magical? "You were very brave, but what if..." More magical people like Ara? Magical kitty from.... the dots connected slowly, and Giulia's mouth dropped open, forming a cute little surprised look. This was like a story. Past lives, and knights, and magic, and princes and princesses, and guardians.Evil magic people who made the monsters- it made perfect sense. Bad men make the bad kitties. She reached out with shaky little fingers, poking at the pen. "So you become someone you were in another life and you pew pew the monsters with your light?"

Lucia pouted at the chiding, she was older it wasn't ok that she was being lectured at. "I'm fast I could have run if the doggies tried to bite me plus I know those dogs they belong to one of my neighbors, they aren't sick. They're just a bunch of jerks that bark at anyone who walks by." She explained as a justification for her actions.
"Yup!" She said with a bright smile. "I just hold my hand out like this and say my magic's name and 'bang' I shoot the bad guys with my light." She mimicked the motions of her magic.
"I'm what's called a sin-she. My title is the soldier of illumination and I guard the constellation of Ara." She said proudly.
"Oh and light isn't the only magic I can do." She said with a cheeky smile. "I can visit the home world of Ara."

"You might be fast but you're my best friend. I would be really mad at the doggies if they bit you." Giulia didn't want to be mad at doggies, no matter how bad they were. Or how jerkish. She loved puppies, she just didn't have one yet. Auguste had the best doggy though- Pasha was awesome. "Superhero power!" she said with a fwee, and trotted forward, spinning in a circle. "Pew Pew!" Her giggle was high and delighted. "I'm gonna be your sidekick, Lucia. I'll be the very best one you could ever have. I will take videos of saving people and smashing bad kitties with light!" But a whole other world! Giulia paused, stared. "Lucia, Lucia, we need to go on an adventure."

"I'll try to be more careful." She promised, she didn't want to make her best friend mad.
A sidekick, it was something Lucia hadn't even considered but was unbelievably pleased about. "You mean that you'd really do that for me!" She squealed hugging Giulia. "Oh but since you don't have powers you should make sure to keep a safe distance. I'd be so mad if you got hurt by a youma or one of the evil magic people."
"Oh that'd be great! I haven't visited my planet yet and I would love it if you came with. Oh but can you sneak out at night." She was able to get out because both of her parents were heavy sleepers but she wasn't sure if that was the case for Giulia, and they couldn't exactly go during the day or people would wonder where they went.
They neared her house as the towering house came into view. When she walked in the door she was greet by her mother's voice calling to her from her study. "Lucia's hun is that you?" She called out. "Yup mommy, and Giulia's here too. We're gonna go play in my room." She answered. "Ok sweety come get me if you need anything."
She motioned for Giulia to follow her to her room.
