◈ The Dark Tournament ◈
Welcome to our first event! To kickstart the guild we will begin with a tournament! Now, considering that this takes place after the barrier has been removed, and after Koenma has taken his father's place as King of the Spirit World, there will be some changes to the Dark Tournament's rules. These are different from the anime, so please read!
◈ All teams must have 5 members. A 6th member may act as back-up but only when another member has been proven unable to fight. Teams will be named after the team leader unless otherwise specified.
◈ Teams can switch out their 6th member if the team member that was replaced has reached a recovery. This can not be done during a match or a round. The replacements must be made before the matches begin and outside of the arena.
◈ Contestants are no longer allowed to kill other fighters. Doing so now results in that contestant's disqualification and they will be arrested and trialed for murder. If the team of the disqualified contestant has no replacement, that team is also disqualified, but not arrested.
◈ There will be no attacking of spectators or referees. Powerful barriers have been set to protect the spectators from the contestant's attack. Any deliberate attacks made to the audience will result in that contestant's disqualification and suspension from the tournament. If any spectators die in the attacks (even unintentional attacks) the contestant will be arrested and trialed for murder. If the team of the disqualified contestant has no replacement, that team is also disqualified, but not arrested.
◈ All contestants must be examined by an on-site nurse before the round begins. The nurse will then decide if the contestant is fit to fight. Each team must have 5 eligible contestants before the start of the match or their team is disqualified. Any contestant that refused to be examined will be automatically deemed ineligible to fight.
◈ All contestants must be examined by an on-site nurse after each match. This is to ensure the health and safety of the contestants. Any contestants who are deemed ineligible to fight must remain out of the ring until all matches are over.
◈ A contestant is deemed in eligible to fight if they are any of the following:
- Unconscious (Even if they remain 'standing')
- Badly wounded (As decided by an on-site nurse)
- Low on Reiki/Yoki (As decided by an on-site nurse)
◈ An unconscious fighter may be removed from the ring by their team-mates. Since they can not dispute this while unconscious, the decision is made by the team leader.
◈ The rules of the round may be set by the team leaders, but they must decide within 5 minutes. If the round rules are not agreed on, a predetermined set of rules will be imposed.
◈ The predetermined rules are a series of 1-on-1 stock matches. The winner of each match is determined by a count to 10 when the contestant is 'down' or outside of the ring. The winning team will be the team to reach 5 wins first.
◈ When a constant has been knocked off their feet, the referee must count to 10. If the contestant is down for 10 seconds they are considered the loser of the match. The same goes for any contestant that is outside of the ring for 10 seconds. Exceptions are made if the ring has been destroyed.
◈ With all decisions made by the committee, the entire committee must be in complete agreement. *
* After the incident that resulted in the entire committee being killed, Koto was the only surviving member. So now, even though she is a referee and an announcer, she is also a member of the committee. Her and the new committee wrote the new rules.
