Anything that got her blood pumping was something that Cassadega Bright could but herself behind and, as it was, dancing was her jam. If most of her classes weren't dance, she probably wouldn't have bothered showing up for class unless she really felt the urge and half the time, she only went to her general studies classes because she was already on campus. Today, however, was a schedule full of workouts and dance routines that had her heart singing in her chest.
Currently, said chest was heaving and a large, happy, grin stretched across her mouth as she tipped her head back, fingers threaded through the front of her hair with her palm pressed against her forehead. Sweat dripped down her cheek and off her chin, splattering against the wooden floor of the dance room while she took the time to catch her breath. Vibrantly green eyes slid across the faces of her fellow dancers until they settled on the pretty pinkish-redhead she'd been watching ever since the semester had started.
It was time for cool down stretches, so Cass crossed the room to get close enough to where the other woman was standing and started stretching near her. Waiting for a moment to catch Kenzie's eye, she flashed her a bright, toothy grin.
"You're really killing it, you know that right?" sylent nyte lmk if i need to change it

Aside from the Negaverse, the only thing in the entire world that Mackenzie was dedicated to was dance. It didn't matter the style, the music, the partner... She embraced every bit of it, as if it were an actual part of her, in her very core. Every single day her classes taught her, pushed her. Today was no different, and the end of the routine had her out of breath and her body aching in the most wonderful of ways. The teacher called for cool down, and as Mackenzie wiped her forehead of sweat with her sleeve someone approached her. Pink eyes met green ones, and the grin actually surprised her. Typically she kept to herself and never made a point of making friends in her classes- she came here to work, and that was just what she always did... Her often cold demeanor never encouraged people to come to her, so she was a little taken back when she was complimented. She interlocked her fingers and rotated her wrists so palms were facing away from her body, her arms lifting above her head to hold the stretch. As she did so, she looked the other girl up and down- she definitely recognized her, and she'd be lying if she didn't admit that she had been impressed by her throughout the semester. Relenting to being friendly, Kenzie offered the other girl a smile in return as she continued to stretch. "That's awfully kind of you to notice," Her body shifted slightly as she pulled a leg into a stretch. "I've seen you in most of my classes, you're pretty damn good yourself." At least if nothing else, she could end up with a half-decent dance partner in her classes by being nice. She grabbed her waterbottle and took a few large gulps, then held out her free hand to the other girl. "Kenzie," she said, "A pleasure to officially meet you."

When Cass took notice of someone, she really took notice of them. More often than not it only took one moment for her to decide that she liked them before she was pursing some sort of interaction. With Mackenzie she had waited, for a variety of reason.
The most prominent was because she enjoyed watching her dance. The second was the notion that the dancer wasn't exactly sociable, which normally wouldn't have been a problem, but she clearly treated dance like work and she waited until she'd noticed Kenzie noticing her.
"Dance, and music, is kinda my whole life, I better be good at it," she said, with a laugh, closing her fingers around the woman's hand for the shake. "Cass," she offered in return, taking a moment to let her eyes drift over the girl's form.
"Been watching for a while," she admitted with a shrug, hand slowly pulling away from Kenzie's. "S'hard not to when you don't get to see someone dance like you do that often." Buttering up a little wouldn't hurt she was sure. "You ever done any of the street dance offs?"

Her head tilted slightly, hair matted to her neck with sweat. It was like she was speaking with a bubblier, green version of herself. "Mine too," she replied, a baffled look very clearly displayed upon her face. It was hard not to light up around a person like Cass who was as passionate about something as she was, while also dousing her in compliments. She shook her head in response to the question about street dance offs. "I haven't, actually. I was very heavily immersed in ballet for most of my life so street dance is much newer to me. And between these classes and work," she shrugged, "not a lot of time. I teach hip hop and make music," she added.. Not entirely sure why she felt like she needed to tell this stranger about her life. But Mackenzie liked to be impressive, and she knew how good she was so why not peacock a little bit? It didn't hurt that the other woman seemed interested. "Maybe I'll make some time one day. If you'd be willing show me, that is," she said, practically on the verge of batting her eyelashes at her to get her way.

"You should, I bet you'd be good at it." The chick's skills with hip hop were great and Cass could already see how they might fit into things on the streets depending on the beats.
"Life's busy but, if you ever wanted to check it out, or maybe choreograph something together, I'd be interested." Among other things, but Cass was a shameless individual who was here to have a good time.
"You make music?" Oh, her interest was deeeeefinitely piqued.
Ding, ding, ding. Jackpot.
Cass reached for Kenzie's hand. "For you, I'd be delighted to."

Her small smile quickly spread into a full-blown grin when Cass reached for her hand. Perfect. Now she had an in to the DC street dance scene. It was hard transition from classical dance to hip hop without knowing the right people, so now that she knew the right person... It was all coming together. And she now had a potential dance partner - today's class could not have possibly gone any better. "Mmmhm," she mused, pulling at the other woman while she still had her hand clasped. It was a little rough, and definitely intended for Cass to be forced to step closer to her. Two could play at this game, and Mackenzie was never one to back down. "We should definitely get together. I'll make the beat, you do the dancing. We'd be a perfect team." Then she could show off a little and get a real taste of what Cass was capable of on the dance floor.

When tugged forward, Cass went willingly, reaching for the other woman's hip almost immediately. Fingertips pressed against flesh and she flashed a sharp, bright smile.
Her voice lowered, eyes falling half lidded when she licked her lips and tipped her chin up. "I like that idea. You, me, a tango?" Innuendos were heavy on her tongue and the latina shifted her hand until her fingers were sliding between the space's of Kenzie's.
"I know that you're a busy gal buuuuuut...." She stuck her bottom lip out in a pout, teeth toying with the silver ring. "Maybe you could make some time to show me that music sooner than later?"

Pink eyes glanced down at the hand at her hip, the fingertips pressing into her. It was almost enough to make her forget that they were in a very public dance studio on campus. Her gaze slid back upwards to meet Cass' lips first, and then her bright green eyes. Kenzie was definitely up against a woman that knew what she wanted and how to get it, much like herself... And she wasn't particularly sure she wanted to resist her charms in the least bit. The index finger of her free hand gently touched the ring around Cass's lip before she began to walk backwards towards the door of the dance studio, still holding her hand. "I think I've got some time to spare," she cooed before turning and leading her out of the room. Nuxaz Fin~ thank you iluuuuuuu<3
