Snorting slightly as she folded up another ill-fitting top, the fallen considered. There had to be a spell or medicine or something that would make these growth spurts a little easier on people like her. Or just a way to explain things to ease young minds and keep them from fretting to bits. Freezing slightly, Karamella stared at the wall, blinking slowly. Why, who said that she couldn’t be the one to figure these things out and help her fellow weeds? She enjoyed her science classes and she was reasonably good at parsing things so that other kids could understand a discussion. And she certainly had the desire to find better answers. The sooner the better!
Laughing a little to herself, she finished with the pile of shirts and carefully hung the ones that still fit back in her closet. She still had to go ask someone to take her shopping, so why not talk to one of the councillors on the way and see what classes she’d need to work towards being a pediatrician? It would serve a need and give her the opportunity to find ways to make life a little easier on people.
For a moment, she considered heading out and picking up her sorting another time. Except she wanted to take everything that didn’t fit to the donation bins all at once. Which meant it was time to go through the rest of her clothes. With another sigh, she set the tops to the side and kept working. All but one of her pairs of shoes had to go. And even that pair was just barely squeaking by in the comfort department. She was good on socks since those stretched out nicely. She could make her dresses last a little longer if she got a couple pairs of leggings… But new pants and shorts were a must.
Grimacing a little, she carefully boxed everything that would be donated up and set the boxes beside her door. But at least the chore was done. She could find someone to help lug boxes on her way to speak to the school councillor. Edging past the boxes, she darted from her room, mentally tallying the things she thought would be useful to take. Science, Herbology, Magic. What else would help her help little kids? And how would she refer to herself? Dr. Karamella sounded so stuffy and formal!
Laughing a little at herself as she planned out a life and career that was still a ways off, Karamella skipped across campus.
