Kyril was still adjusting to the hot sands of Oba. Everything here was more crowded and the marketplace especially seemed nearly impassible some days. Still as her mother continued about trying to fix up the estate Kyril found herself drifting through that very market. She was rather bored of hearing about inheritances and building plans and other chit chats about finances. Her mother was dealing with that and Kyril was thankful for once that she was still in her own way a child, one that could be excused from making plans about a building her family now owned. A building that she had never even dreamed possible until coming to see the cities of Oba.
Now though the girl was browsing through wares. Wares that unlike others seemed a bit more interesting to the eyes. Vibrant colors of glass and other pieces shined in the sunlight and she continued to pick them up thoughtfully from the table while twisting them before her so that the light reflected various colors on the path before her. This one simple orb melted into a multitude of greens and blues as she rotated it in between her fingers. The sight made her smile and for anyone watching it was almost like magic to see the girl studying the colored glass in the sun.

“It’s nice isn’t it?” Nasuri said as she approached the girl with a smile. She’d been browsing some wares in the booth next door when the colors had caught her eye. “I wonder what they’re for!” Probably decoration of some kind, but one could really not know considering the extent of items one might find in the marketplace these days. The girl was clearly a oban hybrid like herself, matori form the looks of it. It wasn’t hard to distinguish considering the girl’s ears and markings on her oban skin. Nasuri also liked her outfit, but anything with gems and pretties, Nasuri liked.

Oh? Kyril blinked in surprise as someone approached her. As she turned the girl was startled to see that not only was it another girl her age, but also a hybrid. Though she definitely wasn't half-Matori, but was something else. Kyril smiled at her. Seems I have a knack for attracting hybrids. At least this one was a cute girl rather than a perverted guy. Shaking her head at the memory, Kyril forced herself to focus. "It is really pretty." Lowering the orb she picked up another one and turned it as well before noting that one side wasn't curved and was flat, "I think I've seen my mother have one in her study before - she uses it as a weight for any scrolls she is reading over. It helps to keep them from blowing away when the door or windows are open." "Or if you are like me you can put them on your shelves and just admire them." Kyril flushed lightly, "I tend to enjoy watching how they can cast colors on the wall." Ever so carefully she placed down the orb before turning to fully face the stranger, "Is it alright if I ask you something? Are you new here or is Oba your home? I'm actually just arrived so this is my first time out in this market so finding someone who seems nice enough to chat to is a blessing. I'm Kyril by the way."

“Oh right, yes I’ve seen my mother using paper weights, but they weren’t pretty as these!” Nasuri also picked one up herself to look at the colors. Maybe she’d grab one as a gift for her mother. When the girl asked her question Nasuri smiled. “I was born here.” It was always nice to see hybrids coming back to Oba, it felt less lonely for some odd reason. “I’m Nasuri,” the Wind hybrid stuck out her hand. “I can always show you around if you like? Show you were the best shops are and such. The food here is also pretty great.”

Kyril nodded. It was true, finding stained glass art like this really was hard. I suppose I'm just fortunate that my family spoils me with these things. Her gaze kept drifting between the girl and the shimmering objects as she thought before she focused on Nasuri again, "It's nice to meet you." She slowly reached out her own hand towards the other girl and gently clasped it in greeting, "Would you really wanna do that?" Kyril's expression shifted in surprise and delight, "If you have the time and don't mind I would greatly appreciate it. It's kinda hard passing time without really knowing where to go after all and I definitely would enjoy some company." Honestly she missed having her 'cousins' about when they weren't in Matori so this definitely was a nice surprise.

“Well, Hybrids have to stick together right?” And Nasuri really didn’t have any other hybrid friends. She had her siblings sure, but some day she would have to separate herself from them and well she felt that time was coming soon.
“How long have you been in town?” Nasuri motioned for Kyril to follow her. “Will you be staying a while?” Not that she wouldn’t want to show her around anyways if she was just passing through but it would be nice if she saw the girl again some other time. She was always looking for travel buddies after all.

Kyril smiled at the thought, "I suppose we do." It definitely was better than being mean to each other. The Matori had been a bit more lax about her heritage, but after coming to Oba the girl had felt a bit more stares than usual. "Only for a couple of weeks now. My mother had family business and so came to the city. Before now we've always lived in Matori." At the other question Kyril pursed her lips thoughtfully, "Honestly I don't know. We inherited an estate, but my mother and father seem more partial towards Matori. Though I'm sure we'll be here on and off in the future from now on as well - especially if we end up traveling in the future. Now that my brother and I are older and can go with them my parents want to explore again."

“Ah you’re lucky,” Nasuri sighed dreamily. “My mother doesn’t travel ever, she owns a business here but I’m not even sure she’d stepped foot outside of Oba since the war with the Banished Alkidikes.” IF her mother didn’t want to travel that was fine, Nuri made up for it. “My father though travels quite a bit as a beast tamer for the army.” Though she didn’t think he could bring his children alone and she was sure her mother wouldn’t allow it either. “Maybe I’ll travel once I’m older.” Nasuri shrugged.
“Anyway, that’s not very long. Where did you inherit your estate? We’re in the purple quarter.” It was one of the noble quarters thanks to her fathers heritage.

"You think?" Kyril shrugged lightly, "I've never been outside of Matori until now so actually I'm wary." She smiled softly, "It's definitely something to see another country and its different cultures. So your parents are separated a lot? I don't know if mine could survive it." She teased lightly, "But maybe one day you should travel at least to Matori. It's a beautiful country especially with the great ocean along the coast." Kyril flushed at the question, "I don't know the exact name of the area just yet, but it's a manor towards the higher places of the city. I'm sorry - I truly should have learned more when they were meeting last."

“A lot less now according to my mother, but he does leave on trips. Mother is quite busy with her dance hall and my younger siblings so I don’t think she minds so much. They were apart a lot at the beginning though.” Her parents love story still made her heart flutter, she thought they were just so adorable and truly made the best love story. She wanted to find her own love exactly like that one day.
“Ah! Maybe in the same district as mine.” Nasuri gave a nod of her head. “My mom is Wind and I don’t think they’d the nobles back then would even allow someone who was none Oban live amongst them.” She shrugged. “Now a days its better, but my mother used to hide us when we were younglings. You’ve definitely come at a better time.” Those had been scary times even if Nasuri did not remind them.
“What’s Matori like?” She asked absentmindedly.

Tasinei Quote: "Ah I see." Kyril nodded her head before the words "dance hall" registered. Here mother danced? What a strange coincidence! Kyril actually stopped walking for a second to blink at Basuri, "How interesting. My mother is actually a dancer as well! She stopped for a bit but has been performing here and there again." "Truly?" Kyril sifhed, "Then I'm glad that things are changing. No matter who you are if you find love it shouldn't be punished by your races." She smiled at the question of Matori, "Very wild compared to here at times. There's small fishing villages with markets and the people there enjoy the ocean. They have some good music and stories as well but my favorite thing is listening to how the ocean waves crash along the cliffs."

“Oh really? Maybe she knows my mother!” Maybe, maybe not but it was interesting none the less! Though she was curious to know if Kril’s mother knew her mother. “If she’s ever looking for work here she can always go see my mother. She has the biggest dance hall around.”
“Maybe I’ll visit there first, though I am slightly partial to where my mother is from. It would be nice to see what it’s like over there.” Her mother never spoke of it, so naturally Nasuri was curious.
“Do you have any other siblings?” She was curious since she too had a few.

"Maybe? If not then I'm sure they will meet." Kyril smiled, "Mother isn't really dancing that much save for fun at the moment, but I know she's eager to hit the stage again. So perhaps I'll let her know that there's a wind dancer around the city~" Kyril pursed her lips thoughtfully, "Well if that was the case maybe if we leave in the future I can let you know. Maybe your mother would feel better about you traveling with some friends...if we can be called that in the future, I hope." She smiled faintly before continuing on, "I have one, Koril. He's my brother and such a dork - he's super loving and open to everyone. At one point I was afraid someone would take him home if I didn't pull him away from strangers while we were growing up." She couldn't help teasing about him since she did truly love her brother, "I'm supposing you have a couple at least from what you said about your mother."

“I’ll let my mother know.” She was sure Aseara would be thrilled.
“Oh that would be very kind of you!” Her mother would most definitely feel better if she traveled with someone. Though Nasuri did feel like she wanted to leave soon. She would see if perhaps Kyril was traveling any time soon.
“Well, I was born from a set of triplets and then my parents had twins. So I have four other siblings!” People were always very interested to learn that she was part of a set of triplets. It was a rather rare occurrence but it did happen.
“When do you think you’d be traveling?”

Kyril smiled. At least it sounded like their mothers could get along! That was hoping that they wouldn't become competitors. The thought made her still before she shook her head slightly. Her mother wasn't one to want fortune, just maybe fame was tempting now that she could actually dance in the light again instead of hiding. But they had to travel a bit first. Which speaking of traveling, "It would be nice to have another girl tagging along." Replied Kyril with a shy smile, "I love my brother, but sometimes I've always wondered what having a sister could be like. I have a cousin, but she's into swordplay and would never sit still to try on anything or even dare look at boys." Flushing Kyril glanced over at the girl, "If that's not too bold of me. I suppose we actually should get to know each other a bit before I get too excited right? You may not find my ideas interesting at all." She twisted her fingers together. It was just so exciting to see another hybrid like her who seemed so nice! All she had run into were rowdy boys and men so far in Oba. The girls would turn their noses up at her - but perhaps that was just the rich neighborhood she was in? "Oh wow! You definitely have a busy family then." Kyril shook her head, "I don't know how I could handle so many siblings at once. I'm constantly worried enough about the one I do have as it is." The next question made her purse her lips thoughtfully, "Perhaps in a month or so? Maybe less if mother gets the estate settled. Right now she's looking into renovations - I believe she may be intending to use it as a school of some sort or orphanage. She wishes to teach dance so maybe that would even interest your mother because anyone that learns there could perhaps want a job dancing..."
