Lucia had been so happy when school finally ended, sure it could be fun to learn but more than anything she just found school to be boring. She wanted to play around before night fall when she would go on patrol. So after school she made her way to a playground not too far from her house.
There were several kids playing on the playground who still wore their knightside uniforms. Some of them were clearly older than Lucia but others were a few years younger.
One such girl was playing in the sandbox, she seemed like she was maybe a year or so younger than Lucia. Building sand castles seemed like a fun idea so she went over to the girl. "Hi I'm Lucia, can I join you?" She asked nicely a bright smile on her face.Infinities Here's a start let me know if I need to change anything

Giulia wasn't much one for the sandbox, but she had brought too many candies for lunch, and so she had a bit of a tummyache. Which meant she didn't want to fight with the bars or the jungle gym, or the swings, and certainly not the merrry-go-round, She missed her house, but until Jada came back they were staying in this neighborhood; it meant there were other kids around, which was good. The approach of another child urged Giulia to lift her head, bright blue eyes gleaming with interest and curiosity. The other child was a bit older, and Giulia pushed back her shoulders, her tiny frame hard to disguise. "I'd love to have you play with me!" she chirped brightly. "I'm Giulia." reaching over, she pulled her sandbox tools closer to the other girl, offering to share without words. There was a shovel, a bucket, and a bottle of water."I know I could be doing this in the snow, but the sand is better to build with, don't you think?" Blue eyes considered the older child before she added, "What class are you in?" she peered at the Knightside uniform, curious.

"Nice to meet cha', Giulia!" She said with a bright smile. The name sound Italian she wondered if the girl's family came from Italy like her Papa. She sat down in the sand as she went to work crafting her sand based master piece.
Golden eyes looked up at the girl. "I prefer the sand too, the snow can be dirty and makes you all cold and wet." There were benefits to snow admittedly like getting out of school but overall Lucia preferred spring, which was good since so much of the winter had felt like spring.
"I'm in second grade what about you?" She asked curious.
"Do you live around here Giulia?" She didn't remember seeing the girl before but maybe she just missed her.

"I don't mind the being dirty," Giulia said cheerily, "but unless you pack it extra tight it gets melty and powdery and falls apart too fast." her cheeks were bright and red, her blue eyes ripe with enthusiasm, golden curls caressing those cold-kissed, baby-plump apples of her face. Dirt didn't bother her, but a disorderly snow sculpture was potentially tragic. "I am in kindergarten." Giulia told her new friend (for they had exchanged names, and so friends they clearly were.) "We just moved back to Destiny City at Thanksgiving. Mama- Jada works a lot and so we lived in Europe and New York for a long time. But our birth mama lived here so she said we needed to know our hair-ih-tij." a shrug, as only disinterested, narrow shoulders could manage. "No, this is just the city house," Giulia explained as she carefully sculpted a tower for her castle. "We have others, this one is just because Jada is away and Nanny has other things to do too, so we are staying here with Nanny and some of Jada's other friends while she works.or something." another vague, childish shrug. "Is this where you live, Lucia? It is a very nice playground, are there lots of other children?"

"Yeah it's no good if a castle falls apart." She agreed nodding her head in understanding.
"Oh I used to live in Europe too, I was born in England. But we moved here a few years ago cause my mama's family lives here. We still go back to Europe during the summer. Where did you live?" She raised an eyebrow at the strange word Giulia used she would have to ask her mother what it meant when she got home.
She worked on the walls of the castle as Giulia talked. She didn't like nannys, she had had a few and she was never a big fan, they tended to scold her more than her mother and they were not as good huggers as either her mother or father.
"I live close by...um somewhere over there." She said pointing in the a direction where large houses rose up over the street on a steep hill. "Not that many." Alot of her neighbors were either old or childless. "But there are a few" she said noting the other denizens of the playground.
"So Giulia what kind of things do you like?" It was only right that she learn what kind of things her new friend enjoyed.

A castle falling apart would be a tragedy, and Giulia's smile of relief that the other child understood such a reasonable concern was hopefully clear, and not misunderstood. "I was born in Paris," Giulia said with a smile. "Mama lived the city, and so she moved there. And then we lived in London, sometimes, and Rome, and New York. Some time in Los Angles." for six, she tried to sound very worldly and airy. "But we live here now, in the house mama grew up in. Did you live anyplace other than England?" If Giulia had known her new friend didn't like nannies, she would have waxed eloquent about her own. Instead, she turned her head to consider the houses on the slopes, considering them. They looked bigger than the city house, but smaller than what she was used to. "They look very nice!" she said cheerfully, admiring them. "That is sad there aren't many. But it is more than I have when we aren't staying in the city." Jada had promised to set up play dates for her though, and if she took more dance classes, she would make more friends! "I like seals," she said bashfully, "and kittens, and puppies, and dancing. I like Nanny, and Jada, and Aidan, and the kitty. And I like food, and school, and playing in the snow. And books. And ponies! What do you like?" Maybe they liked a lot of the same things! That would be wonderful.

Lucia was impressed at all of the different places Giulia had lived. "No I've only lived here and in London but I've visited alot of places. Rome, Paris, Athens, Stockholm, and Kyoto. I might've been to more places but I don't remember them if I did." It wouldn't surprise her, her parents loved traveling to new and exciting places on vacation but she would have been a baby then so she had no memories of it.
"They are all pretty." She agreed she wanted to see Giulia's house, she bet it was also really pretty.
"Then we should play together more often!" She said excitedly. They could keep each other company and plus Giulia seemed like fun.
Oh "Those are all so cute!" She squealed in agreement. She loved seal videos especially the ones where they climbed onto boats she wanted so badly to have that happen to her. Cats and dogs in general were just adorable creatures, even if cats could be rude and dogs could be too loud at their core they were too cute to ever be mad at.
"Hmm I also like dancing and making music. I like reading with papa, especially books about Greek stories. I love making arts and crafts with mama. I love princess and heroes, especially heroes." She said going over the list of things she loved.

"Visiting places is good too," Giulia happily chirped; "all valibable experences." her mis-pronunciation of words bothered her, but there was little she could do about it yet. She would have to get mama to help her more with them. "The more places you get to remember is better. You can learn more stories to share!" "Yes!" Giulia agreed, holding out her tiny hand to Lucia; "We should be great friends and play together all the time." great friends, not yet best friends; Lucia was older and Giulia was still tiny. But maybe one day. Or now. Lucia squealed excitedly, and Giulia felt her bright blue eyes widen in joy and excitement. "Dancing is fun! I am learning to do ballet. Greek stories are fun! I learn about the gods and the goddesses from the books in our library. Princesses are the best; and knights! Girl knights and boy knights. I don't do music or art, but I am sure I might be able to..." her lips pursed.

Infinities I think we can wrap in the next couple of posts and then I'll start the next one
Lucia took the hand offered to her. "We can be best mates! It'll be wicked." She said in her light British accent. Golden eyes sparkled with excitement as they looked into bright blue eyes.
"Oh ballet looks like fun you have to show me it sometime." She normally just danced to music without any particular form but maybe she should ask her parents about ballet classes.
Clearly the two of them were destined to be friends if Giulia also liked Greek mythology. "Which story is your favorite, mine is Andromeda's story it's so romantic. I want be a hero just like Perseus when I grow up." She said proudly.
"I could teach you some arts and crafts it's so much fun." She offered.
"Want to come play at my house?" She offered hoping Giulia would, she had better toys there after all.

"I have never been to Kyoto," Giulia said with a sigh, "but when I am older I will get to plan places to go with Aidan over the summer." her golden head nodded safely. "Family vacations are very important, so I have to plan careful." she shook Lucia's hand vigorously. Best mates! Oh! Such an exciting thought, to have a very first best friend. "Of course I will show you," Giulia assured, "and you can tell me ball about the places you have been. It will be so fun!" she wriggled her feet in the sand. alas- she could get up and dance now, but the ground wasn't very solid. "I like the story of Odysseus," Giulia revealed. "He wasn't a good man, always, but he was clever, and he won against the odds and the gods, and made it home to his wife and his family. So if you never give up, you can do anything." Jada always said Giulia was born to a mommy and a daddy who never gave up on anything they wanted, good or bad. "I would love to learn some arts and crafts!" Giulia exclaimed, excited. Oh! "Like painting? Or macaroni pictures?" there were so many options! "I do!" she agreed excitedly. "I don't know if I can today- Nanny will need to talk to your parents and make sure that it is okay first. Nanny worries like an adult." it was terrible. "But I can play at your house and then you can come and play at my house, and we can take turns!" It was going to be awesome! Aurelius0815 Sounds like a plan to me <3

Lucia nodded. "Family vacations are alot of fun." Papa finally took time off from work and mama always made sure to not schedule any of her surgeries for that time. "Who's Aidan?"
"Ooh Odysseus is a great story I love how he isn't super strong or fast but because he is so clever he's able to get through all of those trials, it goes to show that you don't need to be the strongest or the biggest to win." Something that was near and dear to her heart as a chibi senshi, sure everyone seemed to be bigger than her but that just meant she would have to become clever like Odysseus.
"We could do either!" She said excitedly though she was a bit hesitant to let anyone else see her painting, not that they were terrible but she wanted them to look professional which they definitely didn't.
"Adults always worry." She said as though it was a ludicris notion. "Where is your nanny we could go ask now, even if we can't play today maybe tomorrow." She was excited and didn't want to wait.

"They can be!" Giulia agreed excitedly, cheeks growing pinker and pinker with her glee. "Aidan is my twin brother, he's a good boy." Giulia nodded sagely. "He's younger than me, but everyone treats him like he is older." she sighed. Another fan of Odysseus!" AH! Giulia was having so many emotions right now, and they were all excited. "Yes!" she cried, clapping her hands together. "Have courage and use your head and you can do anything!" She scrambled to her feet, leaving shovel and bucket and all her yous tumbled into the cold sand. "i'll go ask Nanny right now. She's over there- maybe we can go to your house together, and she can meet your parents and get permission, unless your parents are here- are they here?" Ahhh! Play would be so exciting!

"Aidan is my best friend though. But you can be my girl best friend, okay?" she didn't want Lucia thinking she was out before she got started. "He is just my deffult because he is my brother." And he certainly should rispekt her. She was going to tell him to be good. She flung herself into the air, giggling with excitement. Small feel slammed into the sand, spraying enthusiasm as she landed. "I will go get my nanny, hold on!" Leaving toys behind, the blonde raced to get Amelie, tugging her to Lucia and chattering. House.... Mama.... Playtime.... Best friends... Today was a great day!!!!!!
