He'd had enough - after being under strict instructions not to kill the lioness he'd had his fair share of headaches. She certainly loved to preach, worse still, she really loved to preach about him. Ah yes, the 'phantom', the one who should have known his place and remembered what he was here for. She'd started to make very little sense the longer she'd been in his little prison, but his patience was finite and there was only so much more he could take of her nonsense before he lost the desire to be nice.
With her days numbered, he knew that he had little other choice than to demand the assistance of the only individual he knew who had the capacity to be of any use. One more thump to the lioness's head and she was probably not going to wake up; it wasn't a lecture he wanted to sit through, so he would try a different approach. Given he had relied upon Suu'marle almost exclusively to supply him with the necessary product to keep Tethys in check as he was transported, she was the perfect individual for this particular conundrum.
Consequently, it was she that he had summoned.
He was waiting expectantly by the entrance to his caverns. He had deposited Oa in such an inconvenient spot that she wouldn't find it very easy to get out, it would buy him sufficient time to make the necessary arrangements. If she happened to get even remotely close to the surface then she would simply have to content with both the potion mistress and the 'inbred phantom' together. It was a fight that the noble wouldn't have a hope in hell of winning, but it would at least at some excitement to what was otherwise a very boring day...Words: 300

Both Suu'marle and Adar'malik had been rather under utilised in the last few years. Suu'marle couldn't fault Destati for not having them in active pursuit of any particular individuals, but it had left both the assassin and the poison master just a touch bored. There was only so much administration and mundane tasks that the poison mistress could do before she began to wonder if she would lose the knack for her art. Fortunately, Destati had never been the sort to ban the Collective from pursuing their studies and when she had been given the opportunity to assist Adar with setting up his trials she had leapt at the chance.
Sadly, those trials had finished all too soon. With only one individual to 'test', both Adar and Suu had soon found themselves back to square one. Suu'marle had for the most part been charged with working out how best to train Tethys (unknown to him) on Phantom poisons, while Adar had been confined to his warrens on babysitting duty. If the rumours were true, then it would be weeks, if not a few days before the black lion dumped the noble at Destati's paws and declared he was done with her crap.
...Apparently the noble had quite the mouth on her.
Suu'marle had known that it was only a matter of time before Adar put out the call for assistance and she had gladly come to his warrens. She'd provide him with company at the very least. When she had listened to his requirements she would then, hopefully, be able to supply him with a solution to his problem. She had means, and generally speaking, she could make even the strongest of wills dance to her own tune...she just needed the right ingredients.
Thus it was with a smile that she greeted the awaiting lion - generally Adar preferred for others to find him, he must have really been at the end of his tether to be waiting for her.
"Don't you look as thunderous as always," she purred in amusement. "Tell me what you need, we'll see if we can't silence the little bint by dusk," she finished gently.Words: 360

She'd always had fantastic timing; the lioness was never late and generally managed to execute her missions within the designated time limit. Then again, the same thing could be said of them all even if their methods tended to differ considerably between each individual. Still, when it came to this mission it was Suu'marle, and only Suu'marle, who would be able to assist him. Gideon would spend far too much of his time attempting to be reasonable and Havase...well, Havase had selective hearing that Adar had become rather envious of in recent weeks.
"You would be in much the same mood as I am, if you were tending to that," he replied darkly. As the lioness swept passed him he raised to his feet and followed after her; those who knew the warrens didn't typically need his assistance to find their way round. Consequently, it seemed that the lioness had chosen to do much the same thing as he preferred to do. As he followed after her it was clear that she was aiming to regard their problem child from a height, hopefully high enough that she wouldn't notice that either of them were there.
...Well, if she was conscious at least.
"My requirements are simple," he began as they drew to a halt. Upon gazing down into the depths the lioness was still out cold. "I need something to control her," he stated. "Keep her knocked out most of the time, but when woken up she says nothing and follows direction," he paused briefly and pursed his lips. "Essentially the same products the phantoms use to significantly increase their powers of persuasion, and a potent enough sleep dust to keep her down indefinitely."
He paused.
"Without killing her, obviously."
Shame really, if he was allowed to remove her from the face of the earth then they wouldn't be having this conversation. He sincerely hoped the Justicar had something in mind for the damn bint that required her to be breathing...Words: 332 Total Words (Adar): 632

"Ah, well, it seems you came to the right place," Suu'marle chuckled as she regarded the rather morose monster. He really had drawn the short straw in many respects, forced to remain out of sight so that the wandering scourge didn't realise he wasn't one of them. While he certainly didn't mind the dark warrens, Adar wasn't exactly against being a social creature and she knew that he rather missed being around them. They were after all, in large part, his family...and the only family he'd ever known given his history.
She gazed down at the now unconscious lioness and assumed that he had put her out of her misery with a well aimed smack to the head, but in the long term that wasn't going to do anyone any use. Eventually it would start taking a toll on her brain functions and she would be a babbling wreck, if Destati needed her for something, then she was going to be no use to him as a vegetable. Credit where it was due, Adar had made the right call in deciding to make use of the very substances that his 'kind' were rather inclined towards.
"It won't kill her so long as the dose is correctly measured," she mused. "I'll give you the dosage but at the moment I only have very limited supplies of one of the substances," she paused and rubbed her chin gently. "The sleep powder will be no issue, that I can get to you in ample quantities now given I made too much for the Justicars son," she grinned and then sighed. "But it will take me a day or two to begin the process of refining more of the other drug; I should have enough for you to use until then."
He seemed relieved to say the least.
"Don't worry, we'll have her silent in no time and you can go back to enjoying peace of mind," She said with a delicate laugh and patted his shoulder. "But you will be have to be careful about the dosage, I'm fairly certain the hallucinogenic can kill if given in too high a dosage, I simply haven't tried it..." she warned.
"Just give me the appropriate information and I will handle it," Adar muttered reassuringly. With this, the noble would at least live a little longer and Adar's patience would be saved...Words: 397 Total Words (Suu): 757
