The small girl was terribly bored, sitting at home and wondering what to do. Her sister was out with their mother, along with their other sister, and Suria was forced to stay behind because of her case of the sniffles. As a result, she was stuck with her two elder brothers who seemed more keen to roughhouse than play with the sick little girl.
Already feeling a little better, Suria ventured outside into the sun, letting out a bright sigh of relief before shaking out the aches of being in bed all day. Before her stood the shallow waters of their wading pool, which currently housed a silver snapptrotter. Their father had taken the rest of the warbeasts to work for the day.
Suria gave the lizard a wide berth, finding one of the chairs to settle in and just breath in the fresh heat of the Oba sun.

Aeuri was tasked with taking care of his sister, who ended up being sick and unable to go shopping with the girls. Based on Suria's reaction, he knew she was upset. It didn't take a genius to tell the girl was a volitile fire spell and that he needed to avoid her if at all possible. So, he let her have her alone time and made his way outside to hunt down where his perzi was. The thing often decided to run off with it's siblings, and Aeuri knew he needed to keep tabs on it when he could.
When he finally found the spotted creature, he let out a bit of a cheer and came out from the bushes. The thing loved the shade (shocking) and often would lounge there until the sun went down. Then it got a bit too cold and the creature would wander back to his bed.
Unfortunately, by the time he woke up it would already be gone.
As Aeuri moved toward the water, he caught sight of his angry sister. Stilling as if caught in an act, he carefully studied the younger girl before realizing she wasn't as upset. Maybe it was worth talking to her, just in case.
Holding his perzi, Aeuri carefully approached his younger sister and sat down in the chair beside her.

The little girl let out a little eep as the shout came from the bushes, and turned to look wide eyed at where her brother emerged. It was just Aeuri, the quieter of her brothers and the more meek one. In his arms was the speckled, hairless creature that he and his siblings found years ago. Sure, Suria was a bit jealous as she didn't have any siblings to share such an experience, but she didn't really mind at the end of the day. At least she didn't need to take care of them (or that Janarim that Orin had) because that would be just too much work.
"What are you doing?" She finally asked, once he was settled next to her. The feline seemed content, even if it was woken from its day nap, but Aeuri didn't normally hunt down their perzi, not unless he needed to care for them. Hopefully he wasn't planning a bath, if that was the case she'd go back and hide in her room.

The elder boy sighed, having forgotten how to deal with young girls since his triplet sister was all grown up. Back then, it was easy to manage, she stuck with the brothers and worked hard to be one of the pack. With a younger sister, he felt awkward and clumsy, uncertain on exactly how he would address and move forward with his sister.
"I'm going to give my Perzi a light bath..." He responded slowly, blinking down at his sister and giving her a tentative smile. She wasn't one to show too much curiosity, although he did notice she appreciated the relaxed felines whenever she had a chance to wander close enough to pet them. Maybe she wanted one of her own?

Her small nose wrinkled almost immediately as she moved to stand, stepping away from her brother and the soon to be furious perzi. Shaking her head once, with her thick ponytail swaying, she let out a sound of disagreement.
"You are going to take it in the pool? Oh no, I will not be here to watch that. It might attack me!"
Everyone knew that Perzi were not fans of water, they were made for heat and dry air, not moisture. To say he was going to give it a bath, while maybe necessary, was something she did not want to witness both out of distress for the cat but for fear of retaliation by association. She didn't want to get scratched.

Aeuri laughed at his sister. He couldn't help it, her reaction was adorable and the way she tensed up made him just chuckle for another few seconds.
"Calm down, Suria. I'm not going to take it into the water. We will be using a soft cloth inside. Where it is dry."
He smiled softly, before looking her over once more, "I actually found this little guy when I was your age...dad let me keep it to help teach my how to care for another..."

She still was very unimpressed, even as her elder brother tried to calm her down. His laughing wasn't helping either, and she felt a little embarrassed but hid it with the appearance of being insulted. At least he was smart enough to not throw a Perzi into the pool, that was something she was curious about. But knowing him, he'd probably attempt to just drop a water spell on the poor creature, which would be even worse.
But maybe a little funny. If she was far enough away.
"Of course dad would let you care for it, he loves animals." She said quickly in response, remembering how much her father tried to bond with his younger daughters by playing with the familiars. It was a major reason why she was so comfortable with them, after all.

Of course, she would say that. Their father did love creatures, and often would tell stories of while he was growing up he would just, watch them. It wasn't really much his father would talk about, but he did love animals and used them as a way to connect with his children. Take Orin, who got a beast of a creature, for instance. His father did what he could to make sure he related to his kids in whatever way possible. Too bad Suria seemed keen to look the other way.
"You are right. Now come along, Suria, you are going to help me bathe this animal."
He paused, waiting for the inevitable reaction.

Wait, what? Her expression was horrified as Aeuri suggested she help, but she took a moment to look him over and his speckled familiar. It couldn't be that bad right, and if he decided to do all the work she could just sit back, act like she was participating, and then laugh when he was inevitably scratched. Even if he had been raising the kit since it was, well, a kit.
"You want me to help?" She responded slowly, before letting out a huff.

"Well yes..." he responded with a smirk, "You are feeling better, right? You are outside, after all, so you must be feeling better. If not, maybe you need to go back inside?"
He smirked down at his sister, turning into a pleased grin as he knew he caught her. She was sick, and skipping out on a trip, so if she wasn't feeling up to at least helping she probably shouldn't even be outside. Either way, she should get back inside. To help or to sleep, those really were her options. It was a sly trap, but Aeuri did enjoy teasing his sister.

Suria looked at her brother. Aeuri, the shy one. Aeuri, the studious one. Aeuri, the perfect one. He just blackmailed her.
She didn't quite give him enough credit.
Suria let out a huff, shaking her head with her ponytail swinging. How dare he do this to her, force her inside to the boring confines of her room or to do some sort of tedious chore. Of course he would do this. Of all the things her siblings were, sly was the most prominent trait. At least Orin wasn't here, then she'd be in real trouble.
"If I must..." She finally replied, "After all, I do feel much better..."

When she finally agreed Aeuri's smirk turned into a soft grin, and he reached out to brush her hair. He knew she'd all but kill him if he messed up her style, but he still wanted to let her know he appreciated her accomidation.
"Alright, little one, let's get inside to the basin. I'll show you how to do this just in case you decide to get a perzi of your own."
As he led the way, his own creature let out a mewl, curling into his arms and understanding what was happening. At first, it didn't like the process, but eventually it appreciated the clean skin and refreshing practice.
"Perzi might not like water, but sand can get in their skin folds, which can cause a lot of issues. Usually they self groom, but I like to help just in case there's any issues that need treatment."

As they walked inside, Suria had her shoulders back and her head leaned as well, looking all the bit like a child forced to do a task she'd rather not do. She wasn't stomping, but it could have easily been the case based on her posture and non-verbal behavior. Thankfully, she was behind her brother so her little tantrum wasn't too noticable.
At least as long as he didn't look over his shoulder.
No, he seemed keen to just talk about skin care for a cat, and so she just hummed and hawed as they made it inside, correcting herself by the time they got to the basin and blinking up at her brother with an absolutely bored expression as he paused with his instruction.

For all his astuteness, Aeuri failed to notice his sister's rebellion. Turning, he saw her expression and just shook his head, "Come on now, this is great information. What if you got a pet Perzi...you'd need to take care of it too. Consider this practice."
He wasn't sure it'd work, so he simply set the feline down on the small table and let it curl up, used to the procedure. Grabbing a cloth, he set it in the water and wrung it out.
"You dont want too much water...much like when you want to cool off but not take a bath, just enough to cleanse your skin...like this see?"
He held it out for her to touch.

Okay, well she understood that much. On a hot day, she would always be brushed down by her mother after running outside. It did feel nice, to get the sweat, dirt, and sand off of her skin. Especially her face where it tended to cake on. Plus, it helped her so she didn't stink, meaning she didn't need to take multiple baths a day. Moving her fingers out, she brushed the cloth. It was, as expected, damp enough to notice, but not enough to cause her to wipe her fingers on her outfit.
Just enough to refresh.
"Okay..." she prompted, blinking and waiting for him to continue.
