Jordan was most definitely dreaming, and being fourteen, it was probably of nice things like amusement parks and spaceships and birthday parties.
In his dream, it would suddenly turn quite green. It didn't feel too wrong, just a normal transition that perhaps would have made sense to him if he remembered a little more. But since he didn't, all he saw in the dream was the green, and then the sound of someone crying.

It was a nice dream, a dream that had skipped from rollercoasters at Six Flags to a party of some kind and had now turned into a dream about scuffing about in the dunes on the beach, and the dream had been disconnected enough that it didn't feel too strange when everything went green. But the crying was out of place with the pleasant tone of the dream, and it jarred him. He went looking for the crying, because that was what you did, because he wanted to know what was happening and because somebody maybe needed help.

The crying would lead Jordan through a winding forest, a path more convoluted than any fantasy movies he might have experienced himself. The trees didn't seem to be harmful though, instead tilting backwards as Jordan made his way across.
The path stopped exactly at boy, around Jordan's current age, seated on a mossy rock. He notably had no face, just made of branches collected together to form a face, and there were no tears, just leaves shedding onto the ground.
"They took my mask," the boy said, without waiting for any greeting from Jordan. "It was mine and they took it and nobody is going to return it and it's not fair." It spoke in words, but at the same time they were not words, as if it were speaking in pictures or thoughts instead that translated best to these specific words.

It didn't occur to him to be afraid. Dream logic said that this was natural, that he was being led down the path, that there would be something to find at the end of this long and winding path through the forest. And there was. He stared, fascinated, at the boy with the face made of branches who was crying leaves. "Why did they take your mask?" he asked. "Can you get it back?"

"I can't," the teen shook their head, "I can't I can't I CAN'T."
It suddenly tilted its neck sideways so most of the branches were looking directly at Jordan. "But you can. If you help me, I'll help you."

Jordan shivered all over, suddenly on edge. But the kid with a face of branches hadn't done or said anything unreasonable, had he? He'd lost something, and he was upset about it, and he was asking for help, and it was even a trade. That was fair. Wasn't it? "How do I help?" he asked.

"Good," it said and then Jordan was awake and there was the same shadow, now dark black green faintly glowing green outlines, beckoning to him. "This way- this way. Thank you."
It lead him into the second floor of the dorms, and stopped right in front of a door. It put one long branch-like finger to where its lips probably were. "Shhh quiet. Nobody can see us. You can't tell anyone about me."

It felt like he was awake, but he must be dreaming, because he'd been dreaming a moment ago. He knew that now. And this was the figure from his dream, so he must still be dreaming, that was logical. He followed the figure without any real alarm, accepting this as still being part of his dream. He stopped when the boy with branches for a face stopped, and asked him curiously in a whisper, "Why not?"

"Because then I'll be lost." It wasn't too clear what the last part meant, but it sounded urgent.
Very carefully, the child opened the door, revealing, most likely unknown to teen Jordan, it to be Rep and Harrison's room. In this strange dream-not dream, the room seemed a lot dimmer, darker, the furniture appearing more like colourless grey blobs.
"Look for the mask," the green whispered, hiding behind the sofa. Baneful Intruding in Rep/Harrison's room, he can't see Creation, but he can definitely see Jordan...)

Rep used to be a heavy sleeper, once he was asleep it was nigh impossible to wake him, but after years of Deus and especially after a few years of being in Death with its texts demanding he be at the portals in five minues, he'd become a much lighter sleeper.
Rather than sleeping in his bed, he'd fallen asleep on the couch, wrapped in of all things a pikachu blanket, with his laptop open on the table in front of him, it had gone to a blank screen. He didn't wake right away, but he certainly stirred when the door opened, moving onto another side and grumbling as he seemed to realise he wasn't in bed.

That sounded ominous, even more so than losing the mask. Jordan just nodded, and slipped into the room after the green child. It was dim inside, strange and indistinct. That was okay. He was dreaming, he reminded himself. He moved about as quietly as he could, sock feet making nearly no sound on the floor, looking in and under things and wondering what the mask looked like. It didn't occur to him that anyone might be present.

"It's green," the child-teen hissed and then peered out from behind the sofa. They were slowly growing vines around Rep's sleeping figure, more of them wrapping around his neck, "he has it." Baneful Rep can feel something ghosting around him but can't see it Prolixity Roll 1d6, even, Jordan accidentally knocks something over!

Rep jerked awake as the sensation of something against his very very sensitive throat immediately screamed snake to his senses. He made a grunt of surprise and fear as he did and looked around panicked. It was dark in the room, but that didn't matter, the ceremonial dagger around his neck made it light enough around him that the light might as well have been on.
"The ********?" he said, rubbing his neck and hunting the room for anything scaly or slithery.

A voice, low and growly and swearing. Jordan startled violently, then froze in place beside a chair, trying hard to look like just another piece of furniture. Maybe if he thought I'm not here hard enough he wouldn't be, or the dream would change and make the other person in the room go away. We're not here, said the voice in his head, equally anxious.

Jordan's new accomplice also shrunk as Rep got up, trying to stay very very still. Its vines curled back until it was the smallest of shadows and it almost looked quite intimidated, if not straight up scared.
There was a long moment where both hid, and then the kid pointed to a half-concealed iron-bound chest peering out from behind the walls. "My mask. My mask is there."
Even Jordan could see the green through the box and walls. prolixity If Jordan immediately goes for the mask, he will be spotted as the chest is locked. If he tries to do the subtle route around, roll 1d6 again. Odd = something falls over, even = he manages to be quiet. Baneful Rep can spot Jordan any time whenever reasonable for a person to spot someone crawling around in his room. If he also looks at the shadows cast by the light, he may notice that one of his pieces of furniture has a strange shadow of a child with the lightest of vines crawling out from its back.
