Sitting in the Moon common rooms, Jason slouched on one of the chairs with his head lulling on the edge of the seat, his eyes closed and mouth slightly open. He was sleeping, tired from being a a** being surrounded by idiots, and just wanted some peace and quiet.

Although he should have gone to his room for that, instead he was here, taking up room, intent on staying asleep and not being bothered by anyone.

And if he was? They'd know soon enough they shouldn't have disturbed him.

From his deep sleep Jason startled awake, blurry eyes glancing around for the source of the noise that woke him. When he settled on Joy his expression darkened, glaring angrily at the younger moon.

"Was that necessary?!" He hissed at her, his voice barely restrained. "You could see I was asleep!"

Sitting himself up in the chair, he continued to glare daggers. "And what sort of inane language are you speaking. I have no idea what you're talking about."

His expression didn't change, even with Joy's sincere apology. He didn't care how much she said sorry, the trainee had disturbed him, and seeing her joyful disposition was enough to set him off.

"What I need" He started. voice raising. "Is for you to speak plain english and to Leave me alone! He spat the last part out, standing up to his full high to look down on her.

"Don't you have anything better to do?" His eyes narrowed, "or better yet, don't you have other morons to annoy with your inane prattling? I don't need coffee, I just need you to go bother someone else!"

"I only act like this when people get on my nerves." Which was apparently all the time, considering how easy it was to do nowadays.

He didn't like being reminded of how he had acted before. The simpering gutless worm that was that fool was a insult, and he was glad that moron was sealed away.

"Do not expect my previous 'performance' either" he remarked with a glare. "This is no after effect either. This is how I should be."

He folded his arms, turning slightly away. "Do not expect me to work with you, either.

Twitch.

"...Excuse me?" Now it was his turn to look at Joy and wonder if there was something wrong with her.

Now he was looking real annoyed, eye twitching and arm folding like the best emo kids. Now all he needed was the black hair and he'd be set.

"Hmph, aren't you hilariously aggravating." He couldn't believe it, she appeared as if she was holding in laughter as well! The nerve!

Apparently his desire to be a complete a** had backfired in ways the moon had never thought possible. His cruel retorts had been taken for a joke, and it was enough to make his blood boil. How dare she take him as a comedy act!

He had the strong desire to slap her, but he was in the moon common room, so it would be pushing it to create such a disturbance that others could walk in on and try to intervene.

"Well, the world is filled with suffering with anguish, but somehow I don't think you have the ability or the brain power to figure that out." Came his childish retort, his ears burning at her ridiculous laughter.

"What this is all about? You woke me up and now you're laughing at me." He looked the other way. "Stupid b***h."

"No s**t" He snapped, his control clearly fraying. "How long did it take you to figure that-"

The moment she grabbed his wrist, all bets were off. Mouth bearing teeth in a snarl, he lifted his arm up so she would be hanging off the ground, literally, and grabbed her with his other hand. His grip was rough, putting as much pressure on her wrist as he could, wanting to damage her shield with how tight is was.

And what the ******** do you think you are doing?! Anger rose in his voice as he sought to rip his other arm away from her grip and turn the tables on who was grabbing who.

He'd thought she'd stop now, actually get offended and burst out crying, which he would have enjoyed being such a sadistic person. But what happened next was something he'd never thought possible.

His expression showed this, brows raised high and looking into her eyes. "What the-"

Regardless of his rank, having ones forehead smashed by another had him reeling backwards, loosing his grip on Joy's wrist and stumbling into the chair, his hands coming up to hold his aching forehead. It might have been his imagination, but he sure didn't feel the shield had done much to protect him. He knew weapons could alter the shield, and he wouldn't put it past Zanth to pull a stunt like that.

"Why you little-!" He removed his gloved hand from his face, the look of sheer loathing and fury he gave Joy a expression that had never adorned the gentle-hearted moon before. With a snarl, he jumped at the smaller hunter.
