Nischal slowly headed towards the designated spot written in his invitation. The name sounded all too familiar, as did the likes and dislikes of the individual who was to be hid blind date for the evening, but with how many years that had passed since he was last in the city, everything about it before, the people, the sights, all seemed blurry and fogged.

His mind often times swam through that fog, trying to figure out what places were safe for him to sit down and rest for a moment as he recollected himself to form an actual member of this war, but it was slow going, at best. Depression often times threatened to creep back into him, wanting to sink it's claws deeper and deeper into him, and each time, he did his best to try to shake it off. The young man tried to fixate on something new each time he felt that hole creep closer and closer, and this weeks fixation was a blind date.

There was no rhyme or reason that he could remember why he signed up for it. Maybe at that time the loneliness that had plagued him since he was young felt too strong to ignore. In an effort to try to stop that feeling from spreading, he forced himself to send in the application. And that simply lead him to where he was today, walking down the sidewalk towards where is 'date' was to be.

After a bit longer of walking, Nischal finally made it to the fountain, and smiled as he saw the person who was described in his letter. How lucky had he been assigned such lovely person with the brightest green eyes he had ever seen.

"Good evening." He greeted, "Might you be Ian?"

Hope this works for a start! Let me know if you need anything.

He'd almost run late - almost. He couldn't believe he'd almost forgotten, though he had almost done so and not actually forgotten. It hadn't left him as much time as he'd have liked and he'd had to take a cab to the museum rather than take the bus and walk like he'd planned to do. Part of the reason was that he'd been preoccupied last night on his computer, he'd been working on a few things, and hadn't gotten off till early in the morning so he'd woken up late...only to continue what he'd been doing, The other reason was just getting tired up leaving the Jacob's home, nothing new there really.

But he'd arrived with a few minutes to spare and had settled by the fountain, letting in his left hand. His right hand was tucking the long finge of hair back, and not for the first time as his fingers brushed his right ear did he consider a new piercing. It wasn't a new thing, he'd been considering it for weeks now...maybe longer, to be honest he rather liked piercings. It wasn't the feel of them so much as the look, though he had picked up an annoying habbit of toying with his snake bites when nervous. He'd tried once to stop doing it, when a friend had pointed it out, he'd failed within a day and a half and had since just let it go. He was doing it now, his tongue poking at the backing of one of the studs as he looked about.

What would the person look like? What would they be like and what was going to happen? He had read the card over and over again but still it afforded him no answers, just ideas.

When he heard the voice he looked up quickly and nodded then. "Y-yeah...Nischal?" He asked, stupid really but he did so anyway.

"Yes, I am, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." Nischal offered the stammering boy a kind and polite smile, pulling the letter he had in his pocket out and giving it a quick look over. He had a few thoughts in mind for this evening, given the kinda person the other seemed to be based on the card alone, but it would be so much better to ask about it than to decide on his own. Seeing as how the boy had labeled himself as an 'emo gamer', it did feel like his options on making this an enjoyable evening were limited. Nevertheless, Nischal enjoyed a bit of a challenge and stepping out of the box every now and then. Hopefully his own nerves would be kept in check.

"From what I understand, big crowds aren't your thing, which is just fine since I never liked them much anyway either. I did think of a place we could hang out with, if you'd like to step away. It's a few blocks north, called the "Epic Game and Eat Station". Have you heard of it? It has alot of two player games, if you want to check it out." He hoped that he wasn't being 'too' forward with his offerings, but he was sure they would have some fun there.

"You know what they say, you can tell alot about a person by how they play Smash Brothers."

Sleet Tempest Snape
The place Nischal is offering to go to is kinda like this one, but with more standard food and less pushing of alchohol. Plus they have more recent games too, like from the latest gens on downwards.

At the others comment about crowds and him not meshing well he nodded his head. "Sometimes...b-but it's rare." He'd deal with crowds for good music, he went to a few good places in the city for music and had to deal with the crowds, he just sort of sat as far from them as he could. He had never liked lots of people around him, it was one reason he liked the large Jacob's home, though it did get lonely at times even for him...like when they all wen ton vacation to England and he stayed behind. He did wonder during their last trip if he shouldn't bring up, once they returned, the idea of a pet. He was still wondering about the idea honestly, it didn't need to be a cat or a dog even.

"I think I have...but I've never gone." He was sure someone had to have mentioned it to, or around, him but he couldn't be sure so he went with it as it was likely something which had come up at some point. It would be odd if it hadn't actually.

"Sounds good...a-and I've never heard that...but yeah." Maybe not that game but any game really. You certainly got a good idea on a person based on how they played, especially when you were in a group chat with them. Hearing some people rage was funny as hell, like fall out your chair funny, while at other times seeing how helpful people could be was enough to make you stammer and trip over yourself because they were too nice. You certainly could get a feel for people playing games.

"Lead the umm..way I guess." Nodding for the other to do so, taking the time to also pocket the card he had on him. He'd done his job of memorizing what was on it already.

"I umm...think I have an idea for after your plans also. The card said role playing...and while that's a bit hard to find anything for. There is a coffee shop I found...ummm t-the people there group up for larping...I-I thought you might like it." Though it wasn't something he'd ever done he wasn't clueless, he knew what it was. it was different from role playing but not by much at all really. He hoped it was a good idea. He knew there would be, from their website, groups of people larping together in different groups. New things came up or ways to bring new people into already established games.

"If you had heard about it, I'd be surprised, since I made it up." Nishcal was never really all that good at breaking the ice, having been a shy sort when he was younger, but atleast these days he found it quite a bit easier. It seemed that for awkward first meetings horrible jokes did well, and that certainly seemed the case this time.

With a little nod, Nischal began to lead them towards the joint he had mentioned.

"While I do very much appreciate you having thought about my likes, I'm not too sure if I'd like to pretend to be someone else today." He turned his head, making sure that the other person was keeping up with his stride and didn't look too uncomfortable. "I think I'd much rather stay myself and get to know you more too. The actual Ian, whom has already won my heart over with your nature from what I've seen... Perhaps I shouldn't have written how adorable I find shyness, you've very much have made my night." Yes he was laying it on a little thick, but there wasn't anything wrong with it, right? He DID say how much he liked shy people. Maybe that wasn't quite the right thin to put on the card... Not that he was unhappy with the arrangement at all!

Well, that explained that, though he had heard of a place with games and where you could eat. So maybe the name wasn't the name, not that he would have remembered anyway, but as he did think on it he was fairly sure he'd heard of such a place - games and food. It wasn't such a bad concept either, though he could see some people becoming lost in the games and not eating much, or anything, after a period of time...just playing the games.

"O-oh ok then." Nodding his head to the others words. He could understand that. It wasn't his thing anyway, acting like someone else...that was a bit odd to him. Dress up as well...though one could argue he did that whenever he powered up. He played dress up and tried to act a bit...less like himself.

"Y-yeah though it didn't make a difference to me..." No, he simply was as he was. He didn't like crowds and lots of people and wound up stumbling and stuttering his way through first meetings often times, as well as most conversations in crowds. He was terrible with people in all honesty, and he was aware of it. He didn't try and be shy...though as the other talked he felt himself looking away as his cheeks heated and he found himself rubbing at the top of his ear, the one with the industrial piercing in it. When his ears heated up they tended to itch with the burn and he'd wind up rubbing at them as if it might help ease the burn and itch - never did.

"Ah, I'm sorry, am I talking too much?" Sometimes his need to be the romantic sweet talker in his roleplays online seeped into the real world, leaving him sounding as if he were teasing his companions instead of truly meaning his compliments. He certainly wasn't a womanizer, or a man...izer. He was just someone who liked complimenting people, especially when it seemed to get decent reactions out of them and made them feel good... Maybe? More people needed to try to do that, in his opinion. "You're right. You are what you are, and if someone doesn't like it, then they can sod off."

For a moment he fell quiet, slowing down his pace to walk more beside Ian than infront of him, though still attempting to lead them in the right direction."Forgive me, I don't often find myself in good company. I am just a little excited."

His smile was small, but pleasant, wanting nothing more than to give his companion for the evening all of his attention, if he wanted it, that is.

"The place I'm talking about, it's just this way... We can order something to snack on and take up residence in one of their booths. I made a reservation yesterday so we'll have one all to ourselves. And the booths, they are nice and large, kinda how they set up Karaoke places, but it's a TV with any game you can think of. Well, any two player or more game, or games where you have one life then have to hand the remote over."

Sleet Tempest Snape
AH! I hope it's not too much confusion, Nischal meant he made up the analogy, not the place xD The place is real!

Shaking his head to the others question. "No, it's fine." He was just nervous so his ability to understand, speak, and generally communicate was just...off. He wasn't normally the best with talking to people - he was worse now. He'd never even been on a date before, never had an interest in anyone and even if he did...he wasn't the sort to say anything. He was also fairly certain no one had ever had a thing for him, or they'd have said something - right?

"I can say the same. I don't tend to leave my computer often. My social skills are...lacking." Seriously lacking, and he knew it. It normally didn't matter, there was no need to be social with lots of people for him. Senshi things...he managed to somehow get through, whenever they came up. But he wasn't a social butterfly and had a feeling he never would be - which was fine by him. Though it would make dating hard...and he wasn't intending to be celibate his whole life nor was he planning to never date.

"That sounds good. If they have a lot of game choices we can find some good ones to play as well." They could certainly spend a while snacking, though if they spent long enough snacking it should be deemed eating, and playing games. It would be a good way to spend some time together. Smiling over at the other Ian bit down on his bottom lip before speaking up.

"What kinds of games do you normally play?"

A bit of relief made Nischal relax a little. Good, as long as he wasn't being too eager about anything. He most certainly WAS eager but was truly trying his best not to accidentally cross over into the overwhelming part of eagerness. "There is nothing wrong with a bit of shyness. And if you love being at your PC then do what you enjoy. Though... I'm sure your lover would get a little jealous if you looked at it too long, right?"

Ahh, there he was again, teasing. Nischal almost regretted the words that escaped his lips but... There was no harm though, right? Hopefully Ian would be nice enough to tell him when he was laying on his charms too thick. Or atleast what he called charms. He couldn't explain why he felt confidant today, perhaps it just was because this man seemed to be even shier than he used to be when he was younger... And maybe his games had far too many romance options and he was used to playing the suave young man. Mainly because too many of the games wouldn't LET you play the meeker person.

"Well... Mostly RPG games... I like being able to explore the worlds as another character and experience their story on my own... That being said, I do enjoy games like Splatoon or the MMO games where I can work with others... You may not believe this, but I'm actually rather shy online and have a hard time making lasting friends, though oddly enough, I seem to be rather popular wherever I decide to play. What about you?" So far their walk was pleasant enough, and the mention of food again certainly did appeal to him. Out of nerves Nischal had neglected to eat this morning... But he would be okay, they were almost there.

The place that Nischal was talking about already seemed crowded, and with that, he couldn't help but put his arm gently about Ian's shoulder, pulling him just a little closer to his side. It wasn't mean to be touchy feely, only to ensure that the other wouldn't be lost when they pushed past them.

"We do have a reservation, luckily... I almost feel bad for the people who are trying to get last minute... "

"L-lover?" He nearly choked on the word, his cheeks flushing. That was not something he had to worry about but the thought...that certainly had him flushing and shifting at the others side. Staring at the other he shook his head and managed to choke out a few more words. "N-no worry there...n-no su-such per-pe-person." He was single...had no dated before. Though the idea was...well it was something he liked the idea of. This one was flirting a lot with him...and he wasn't sure what to make of it, this was new for him.

Toying with the piercings in his lip he reached up to rub at the top of his left ear. It was warm to the touch and surely red in color. Watching for the industrial bar he had there he rubbed as if it would help and cooling his skin and reducing the color....no likely.

"I-I'm better with people online. MMO games...shooter games..." He liked to play games where he had to work with others. He was popular and did well, he was social and wasn't as shy. He was horrible in person when it came to just how shy he was and how socially awkward he was - like now.

"That's good..it umm...seems popular." He said pressing to the others side in order to avoid someone walking right into his side. It really did seem a bit packed...and that people weren't paying attention to others around them, no surprise really. "I think I can be me...online - no worries.."

Now THAT reaction Nischal wasn't quite expecting but gods knew that he loved it. The young man at his side was so flustered and cute that it just made him want to draw him into his arms and plant a kiss on his already red cheeks right then and there! But he restrained himself, only giving the other a sweet smile as they made their way through the crowd, close to one another. He truly didn't want to come off as only wanting to get into Ian's pants, as that certainly wasn't the case. Even after having explored the country as a minor alone, Nischal had done his best to keep himself for someone special. While it wasn't true he had been completely touch free during that time, he did, in fact, managed to keep his virtue intact, even now.

That being said, everything happened in a whirlwind after the moments of being pushed together. They made it past the front door, Nischal had given his name, and they were seated in a single small room, with dark, club lighting, a giant 60 inch TV plastered against the wall, and a large table wedged into a U shaped booth. Two menus had been placed before them, one of food and drinks, typical gastropub fare, and the other a list of available games.

"They have alot of games here... I've never really played a shooter game. I tend to get one and then just panic a little since I'm normally on my own on learning. Would you like to pick one and teach me how to pay? I would very much like that, myself."

Once they were past the crowd, thank god for that, he was happy to take a seat and settle in as he went for a menu to look at the food and drink options. He was hungry, and rather thirsty as well. Looking to the other he nodded his head.

"Pick one and I can show you, most are easy enough. It's ummm...mostly about aim and uhhmmm...being aware of enemies and where they are...ummm...yeah..." Though he really sounded bad, he knew it, but he couldn't help it. He was good at these games and it almost felt like he'd be showing off and he wasn't used to that at all. But he would show the other and help him.

Deciding on a soda he figured out the food part then, letting the other figure out a game...and whatever he wanted for food and drink. "I'll help cover umm food." Since he was really hungry and was planning on eating a good amount. For a computer geek like him he burned through calories fast, it was the senshi thing. He got some training with Lily, he needed to work on more time training, and the youma fights. It all added up, plus he was lucky and blessed with an already fast metabolism.

"Beer battered onion rings, beer braised chicken pot pie with cheddar biscuits....and..." He was pretty sure he could manage something else, which was why he was offering to help pay, he knew he'd be creating a bit of a food bill for himself. He'd known it prior to this meeting that he'd be eating a lot, whether with his date or not so he had money on his person.

"Ohhh...and barbecue chicken stuffed baked potatoes." The onion rings and the last thing they could, of course, share which was also why he'd picked them both. But he also sorta, maybe obviously, liked chicken. He really hoped the amount he was planning to order didn't surprise the other too much.

"Alright... Then I'll pick out a few." With the dry erase marker left behind by the waitress he marked a few games. Halo, Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto... Just a few that would give Ian the choice of which one he wanted to teach. Placing that back at the end of the table for later, he, too, looked at the food menu, smiling a little bit when he realized how much Ian had ordered but didn't mention it. Who was he to judge how much the other ate.

"No, no, I insist, I am happy to pay for the meal! I want to treat you right, tonight, and that includes paying for the food and games. He, himself, was starving as well, and looked down the list of food. Ian had already chosen some things to share but.. What was the harm in ordering more?

"I think I'll take... A cream soda, A shepherd's pie and some of the grilled chicken skewers. Hehe, Let's make sure we save some room for dessert on the way home too." Once their order was placed, and their games arrived, Nischal scooted closer to Ian, enough that there was perhaps only an inch or two keeping their thighs from touching, then pointed at the game list. "Alright... Which one would you like to teach me, o wise and grand master?"

With his food already figured out, and his drink, he went to look over the games the other had selected. "All good, I've played them all." He said glad to see all familiar names. It would make showing the other easier, though...it would still be interesting for him to show someone else how to play. Toying with one of his lip rings, pressing his tongue to the backing inside his mouth.

"You're sure? It's a lot of food." It really was, especially when he heard what the other was going for as well. That really was a lot of food....he wanted to pitch in and held. Maybe he could once the meal was over and it was time to pay? It was the best option, rather than start anything at the table...

Ducking his head, wishing he could maybe sink, or melt, into his seat he peeked out at the other. "I'm no master...I play well...n-not th-that good." Not how he made it sound. He was good, yes, but he wasn't some amazing gamer. "Umm...I can teach any...pick which first..." And they could go from there.

"We're growing young men, I think this is the perfect amount of food." Nischal couldn't help but watch Ian fiddle with his lip ring. He realized he did it alot and wondered if it was a nervous tick. A teasing thought crossed his mind to ask, but he decided against it. This date was supposed to be more than just his non-stop flirting after all.

Deciding on Halo, he got up and got the game all ready, syncing the wireless controllers and handed over the first player controller to his new companion. He allowed his fingertips to brush against Ian's hand as he handing the controller over, hoping that it would elicit another blush from the smaller man.

"No matter how you think yourself, Ian, you're going to be better than I am, so don't think less of those skills. And I'm sure you have lots to teach me so shall we get started?"
