His usual trip to the library was no different today than any other. He had finished up his normal class work, and assignments, and had read plenty of topics in advance to put himself way ahead of the class knowledge wise. Now it meant he had more time to study things he was interested in~
And so, in the nice quiet section of the academy, he perused the more medical and scientific sections. Many times he would check out plenty of the books in bulk, but today he was looking for something in particular~ Lately, he'd gotten curious in psychology, and the brain's psyche. The mind was an ever curious topic for him, one he enjoyed delving into, from time to time, when not occupied with other interests.
Perhaps it was seeing all the groupings getting together for the events that were going in at school, lately. Or maybe it was just simple, basic Nightmare desire that was putting Ezekiel in a state of curioisity when it came to understanding others better. He'd never been one to find companionship necessary, or had ever really sought it out. But... something had stirred within him as of late, causing him to want to try and understand it better.

 Jonah had already arrived at the library he had taken a spot in the reading area with a bunch of science and medical books around him. He knew he needed to keep his grades up if he wanted to someday become a doctor. It had been Jonah's dream for a long time. Noah and Jonah hadn't gotten along with adults when they were younger, left at the orphanage. Jonah still had trouble trusting anyone other than his twin brother Noah. Now though things had gotten kinda lonely Noah was starting to build his own life with his music and new significant other. Noah wasn't bitter about his brother's happiness but he was kinda lonely with only his books and study to keep him company. It didn't make it any better that it was the blasted hunter's jubilee hearts and flowers around every blasted corner reminding him that he was alone.

Looking at the books that were offered in the medical section, his straight faced expression didn't falter. Even though he was failing to find a book he'd looked up previously. It had been noted as present.. .but it wasn't here. How strange. It wasn't like the library to keep things unorganized.
He wandered around, wondering if it was maybe misplaced in a nearby section, flickering his gaze rapidly to read quickly. But in his passing, he did notice it. Alas.. it was set in a pile with a stranger who apparently had it already occupied. For a moment he gave pause to consider his options, before approaching the other junior, "Pardon me, but would it be imprudent of me to request to borrow this book?"

Jonah realized he had taken over quite a few books when he heard a voice asking to take one of the books. "Oh dear, no no it wouldn't be I'm sorry I didn't realize I was hogging so many books." Jonah said a bit flustered he wasn't very good with social interaction without Noah there to help him figure out what he was suppose to be doing. Jonah picked up the book and offered it to the other junior. "It's all yours, I'm so sorry I had taken over the section of books." His cheeks blushed a darker shade of brown.

His tail swayed gently behind him as he watched the stranger panick mildly, his eyes trailing between the book and Jonah curiously. What an interesting reaction. Holding it in his hands, fingers lightly trailing along the hard cover, he finally gave a response, head shaking lightly, "It is nothing to be apologetic about. It is important for one to feed themselves with plenty of knowledge." looking along the array of the selection that the other had before him, Ezekiel continued, "In fact, it is quite amiable to see one so studious." upon further inspection, he could see that the books were in relation to his own interests and studies. Another pause was given before the hybrid spoke again, "You are interested in the same subjects I am, it appears. At least in terms of the medical and scientific realms." well, that wasn't entirely true. His mind reworded and recalibrated. "Rather, a portion of interest is aligned from the materials seen here."

Jonah nodded he was relieved that this being understood his need for study and wasn't angry that he had so many of the books to himself. "That is certainly true if I want to become a doctor someday I will need a great deal more study." Jonah's tendrils flared a bit and he hovered off the floor. When they mentioned they were interested in the same subjects. "You're into medicine and science as well??" Jonah wasn't really sure how to react, pleased? happy? He didn't really do outlandish expressions of emotion. His panic was about as emotional as he got normally and being worried and depressed about being without Noah. That always caused Jonah a lot of emotion.

The most slightest and minute details were noted by Ezekiel, who's eyes didn't take caution to observe and analyze the stranger before him. Tendril flares, hovering... common Geist traits used to express themselves instinctually. He met Jonahs eyeline again, nodding in response," yes. Medicine and most other sciences are a common practice in my family. I have taken to it as well." He concluded. Oh yes, social manners. Extending a hand very delayed, he spoke again, " I am Ezekiel. What line of medicine are you pursuing?"

Jonah was glad one of them thought of social manners since Jonah almost always forgot such matters, his mind so often on other things. "My twin and I don't have a family, so I don't have a reference for whatever the being or beings who imbued our stone were good at." Jonah said in a serious tone. "But I have always liked freshlings, I trust them more than most older beings." He said bluntly. "It is nice to meet you." He said honestly "I am Jonah." Jonah was pretty confident he knew what he wanted to be when he grew up and his specialty. "I want to be a pediatrician, I wish to take care of freshlings and juniors when I graduate from school. What of you?? Do you know what you want to do??"

Ah academy born and raised. How interesting. Naturally Ezekiel wondered how growing up in such an environment effected a person. But no time to dwell too long in the thought. Onto the next topic. The honest exchanges were normal to the hybrid, who tipped his head slightly in thought. A pediatrician. He was silent as he thought on how to reply to the question repeated to him. "I would like to do studies and research, as well as being a doctor. I am under the impression that hands on encounters with patients will aid in my research."

Jonah was intrested in what Ezekiel said. "It was nice to meet you, perhaps we will meet another day." Jonah closed the books he had been looking at and went to put them back where they belonged. So he could head back to his dorm room. He had spent a great deal of time in the library today and he hadn't thought of sleep or eating for many hours. Which was something he needed to fix before he needed to be Ezekiel's patient for the day. He shook his head at this silly thought since neither of them were doctors yet.
