There seemed to be a lot more lions around at the moment. She already found it difficult to be around the pride, though she was trying really hard to become more friendly with the pride in general. She had even made some friends. Still the influx of new, temporary lions was making her a little nervous and it didn't help that she couldn't take up her position as guard. Her toes, despite having been bound for about a week, were healing slowly and all she could do was manage a slow lumber about or an awkward hop with her left foreleg raised. It was very annoying she couldn't even hunt the little crawdads in the rocks pools. Trying to make herself at least a little scarce she had decided to spend the day at the rock pools staring down at the scuttling fishes and tiny crabs that bobbed about in the ever changing pools. It was relaxing but it was a nice place to be away from the hustle and bustle of the main pride.

“Why are you sitting there feeling disappointed in yourself?” Called a voice from above. Anahera had spent a lot of time watching, well, everyone wander about, analyzing the situation at hand but found the hobbling lioness most intriguing. How’d she end up here anyway, she wondered, especially when she seemed almost anxious to be in the pride in the first place?

Hopping down from her perch, Anahera made her presence more pronounced, grey mane fluttered in her face, a touch of a smile placed there. “What brought you to this place? Why stay here when you could be among companions?” Settling her body close to the lioness, she peeked into the pools of ocean water, a softer, calmer smile appearing briefly before settling into a line.

The dark lioness jumped a little in surprise when the lioness popped out from above. She had been distracted, which was unusual for her, she was usually on high alert at all times, it came with the territory when you lived for a long time as a rogue. Still she managed a smile and a little laugh at her own surprise. "Sorry?" She raised a brow at the pale female as she placed herself down beside her. "I find it a little difficult to be around big crowds, I lived in the rogue lands for most of my life, I feel settled here, most of the time, its just a little, crowded at the moment." She laughed a little and sighed "I'm sorry I must seem so anti social. I don't mean to be."

“We don’t have time for the anti-social here, not with the influx of bodies coming in… and out… in… and out.” She was rolling her paw as she spoke, giving the lioness a visual of movement and energy. “Without this movement, this flow--” Anahera paused and took a long soft breath through her nose, “-we would stagnate.” She looked towards the heart of the pride and the movement, like tiny ants or a school of fish they all worked together, she could even make out some of those who were from the Kizingo’zaa. “You could say the same thing about the lands beyond our prides borders, could you not? Without change there is only death.”

The dark lioness felt a little affronted by the bluntness of this female, but she couldn't really blame her. Her trying to be social wasn't exactly helpful. "I'm trying, I'm just doing it slowly. I suppose living in a pride is different than the outside world. I do feel blessed to be here. After all if I had done this stupid thing." She raised her bound paw "Out there, alone, I would have probably starved to death, and I certainly wouldn't have been able to get it treated." She rolls her magenta eyes and lets out a long exasperated sigh. "I didn't catch your name." She queries, she was getting drilled by this pale stranger yet she didn't know her name or even if she was a member of the pride, though she guessed by her mannerisms and confidence that she belonged here. "I'm Liviyathan." She gives a nod in greeting.

“Alright. I was hoping you would feel that way about us, I’d hate to see those that helped you hurt by your leaving or avoidance.” Placing a paw gently on Liviyathan’s hurt paw, she closed her eyes and prayed, “Maybe the sea give you the strength you need to heal.” Opening her bright green eyes she moved her paw and gently swept the water beside her.

“I am Anahera’Moana – I am part of the pride here, however, I tend to find myself mixed among both my pride and the Kizingo’zaa. Have you met any of the pride members there?”

The sea marked female looked a little surprised. She had never thought of leaving the Bahari'mtoto, she just needed time to integrate properly, she was about to object to this when the female gave her a prayer. It felt a little odd to her for someone to pray over her paw. It was a part of this pride though, their great belief in the sea, she felt at home here partly because of that, because of the draw of the sea. "I passed through the lands while I was a rogue. Their values are a little strange but they are good people. I just found a home here." She pauses for a moment "It's a pleasure to meet you. The Mwani said my paw would be healed in a few weeks. I broke my toes." She rolls her eyes and sighs "Sometimes I think I'm still a cub doing such foolish things."

Anahera soft smile widened upon hearing Liviyathan’s news on home, “Good. I am so very happy to hear that you accepted our neighbors without trouble and-“ Anahera looked directly at her companion, “You said you had a home here?” Anahera placed her paw on her chest and breathed out. “I am so happy for you! We are giving here, perhaps too giving. I’ve seen heartbreak as those who’ve giving help were crushed by empty bedsides.” Looking again at the water, she stirred the pool gently. “If you need help, Liviyathan, let me know. I tend to wander and speak with many – I know a lot because of this, perhaps maybe, more than most.” Biting her lower lip softly, “Although I have been told by many that my bedside manner is less and desirable.”

The dark lioness nodded. "Yes I have lived here for some time in fact." She chuckles gently "I do tend to take the night watch though so maybe that's why you haven't seen much of me. I do love it here. That is why I stay." She smiles watching the whirl of the pool in front of her as the other lioness disturbed it. "Perhaps I will venture down to the others, would you like to come? " She raises a questioning brow, for some reason she felt she would be in safe company with this some what rude, but none the less friendly lioness. "It would be a strange world if we were all the same, I'm sure you have your reasons for your manner." She smiles and gets to her paws slowly positioning herself so that her sore paw only lay gently upon the hard rock. "Are you coming?"

“I should be more careful with my judgements in the future, my apologies.” Appraising her companion for a moment, Anahera slowly stands up, quietly moving to Liviyathan’s uninjured side. “I shall accompany you, if you need a rest feel free to lean on me as well.” She nodded her head, glad to have met someone new and hopefully, perhaps even a friend with time.
