Hobbies:Music - Nyx loves music. She loves listening to it, singing along to it, mixing it, making it when she can. Her music library is a mind-boggling sight, and she's got a LOT of CDs, burned and official. She loves going to whatever concerts she has the time for, whether it's mainstream music, dance, electronica, underground, or classical. She hasn't made a lot of music yet, mostly little things for the fandoms she's in, but she'd love to expand into a more professional beat.
Reading - It may seem cliche, but to Nyx, there's nothing better to hide from the world than curling up with music, a good book, and a cup of tea. She adores sci-fi and fantasy novels the most, especially ones where the 'good guys' come out on top in the end. If she's not driving or she doesn't have to pay close attention to her surroundings, she's often got her headphones up and nose in a book. Or her games.
Video games - If it's a mobile gaming console, such as the Gameboy, 3DS, PSP, or others, Nyx has likely played at least something from it if the console was released Stateside. She tends to prefer RPGs, platformers, and of course Pokemon. If her nose isn't buried in a book and music while she's out and about, it's buried in a game.
Netflix - You can pry her Netflix sub from her cold dead fingers, thank you very much. She loves the variety of programming on it, though she's got a few favorites she'll always default to. But it isn't rare to find her passed out on the couch instead of in her bed, much to her younger brother Adonis' fond exasperation. Voltron is her current favorite, and she's slowly rewatching Robotech.
Virtues: Creative - When new ideas or a fresh take on things is needed, those who know her will often point in her direction. She’s not limited by the box, and isn’t afraid to experiment with ideas or methods until she finds what works. And while most would think this applies to just music, she also applies this creativity to life and the world around her. It’s just a matter of looking at the world around her and seeing possibilities instead of obstacles.
Compassionate - Underneath the hurt, there is a very large heart. Nyx is the sort who volunteers for charity stuff at work, who was happy to tutor others in school when she was doing good in her classes. Even though she knows the world can be very dark and painful, she tries to give a little light to others where she can, even if it ends up just being a few bucks and a half-smile to the homeless guy on the street.
Born leader - When not lost in her hurt, Nyx is the sort of person who can bring people together, and guide them as one. She’s good at coaxing people to work together, and delegating tasks to those who have the skills for it, rather than trying to pile it all on one person. And if something stumbles, she doesn’t see it as a failure on the part of those who stumbled; she rethinks strategy and encourages, trying to help the group figure out a new way to get the thing done.
Flaws:Bitter - Nyx is hurt. There’s no way to get around that. With her closest friend in a coma, she’s found it hard to direct the angry feelings inside her, and she ends up being angry at just about everyone and everything. She’s sarcastic, snarky, short-tempered, and seems to only be guaranteed to reign it in for work.
Lonely - Nyx has always felt a bit of a third wheel in the world, odd and more interested in tight relationships than gathering numbers. She had very few close friends, and most of them ended up moving out of town, and then the last one she had in the area was put into a coma by the very monsters he wanted to prove existed. And although her family tries, and obviously loves her...their refusal to believe what really happened just alienates her more.
Nosey - This girl is that one cat who doesn’t know when to keep her nose to herself. If she sees something that piques her curiosity, she goes looking into it, whether she should or not. She’s been lucky in where she’s stuck her nose so far, only ending up with very grumpy neighbors, embarrassed brothers, and exasperated teachers and parents, but she keeps being told it’s only a matter of time before she sticks her nose into something dangerous. Nyx still isn’t listening.

Ref sans BGEyes: Wide, with thick, long lashes. Bright red in color.
Hair: Kept in a fluffy bob of sorts [see ref]. Naturally black, but she keeps the lower half ombre'd to crimson.
Face: Small, heart-shaped, made for smiling, with a button nose made for booping. A shame it's not often smiling anymore...VERY pale skin, easily sunburns if she isn't careful.
Clothes: See ref. Very much a punk-goth, loves her corsets, fishnets, belts, straps, D-rings, leather, PVC, boots made for a**-kicking, and in general looking like she doesn't want to blend in. Sticks to a pretty monochrome palette. Makeup tends to be dramatic and either monochrome or reds and blacks.
