[Back dated to late December]

He had been in America for less than eighteen hours at this point and had spent many of those hours trying to adjust to the difference in countries as well as sleeping since he hadn’t rested easily on the plane unlike last time he had been on one. Of course part was also spent with his Cousin, Aunt and Uncle, but he had to bite back words he wished to say to the two elder adults over Seung’s treatment so it hadn’t been the most comfortable of reunions. Now however he was on his way to meet up with his closest cousin and was looking forward to it.

Since he didn’t know his way around in the slightest, Eunkyung was helpful in downloading a map app that worked well. After all Hyeon just didn’t feel like riding in a car right now, much too restless from lower activity than what he has been used to for years, and instead wanted to get some feel of his new surroundings. It did take him a while to reach his destination but he had left early for that very reason along with extra time to stop and look at things from time to time. However when he looked around the cafe that was the meeting spot he didn’t spot Seung so figured he got there first. His look over done, he moved into the cafe and picked a table for them and sat down to wait.

He’d tried to be on time, he really did, and he kept checking his phone and cursing himself as he hurried toward the cafe he’d picked out for the meeting. It was one which served bubble tea, green tea, and other sorts of teas which were familiar to both his elder cousin and himself. He still couldn’t believe Hyeon was here...in Destiny City! He was excited but also upset, it was proof that his cousin really had left his group and he knew those people meant a lot to his elder cousin. That was one reason for picking a cafe that would have familiar drinks, something comforting, but it was also a fairly small place so there wouldn’t be a lot of noise or a lot of people sitting about.

Bare fingers were hidden inside his coat pockets as he made his way down the street and finally reached out to grasp the door handle and pulled it open. Ignoring the jingle above his head, as well as the greeting from one of the workers, his eyes sought out and landed right on his cousin. A breath left him at the familiar sight of his favorite cousin - he’d missed him. “Hyung.” Words which hadn’t passed his lips save for over the phone, a smile in place, as he hurried over. Wrapping his arms about his cousins back he dropped his head onto the other's shoulder. “You had a good flight? Had food?” Knowing his cousin had spent time at his parents home first, he hoped that had gone well. He didn’t need to find out Hyeon had been kicked out also, that wouldn’t be good.

Hyeon hadn’t been waiting long, maybe two minutes or so, when the door chimed and his little cousin was there in the cafe. When he looked up and spotted him he gave the other man a smile but didn’t get up to greet him, instead letting Seung get to the table and start talking first. “Seung, I’m so glad to see you.” He said and hugged his cousin back, though it might have been a bit on the tight side. “The flight was fine-” as fine as it could be when he was being reminded that he was traveling without his heart brothers anyway, “and no I haven’t eaten anything just yet. How about you? Have you eaten? Have you been well?” He asked looking Seung over with a critical eye to make sure the other wasn’t wasting away and was grateful to see that clearly he was being taken care of by his boyfriend and his family.

Letting his cousin go, and moving around to take a seat across from the elder, he set his hands in his lap and smiled. “I’ve been good...better than I was at the beginning.” When he’d first been thrown out, or when he’d first moved here he didn’t say, either way he was doing better. Things weren’t perfect, though that was an impossible thing to ever achieve, he was happy at the moment - happier now with Hyeon here.

“We can get food after this.” He offered, he’d planned on offering a trip to get food anyway, as he watched someone come over to take an order from them. The place was small and was at present manned by two people only, any more and it would be too much really. Switching over to butchered English, as he’d been speaking in his mother language with his cousin, he ordered a milk tea with black pearls at the bottom.

Hyeon nodded though made a mental note to ask Seung what was his definition of better in comparison later just to be sure. “I’m glad. I know this hadn’t been the easiest on you.” He said, not clarifying of he meant the move or getting thrown out either, though more than likely meant both in the long run. Focusing on how his cousin had been was something he would much rather do then think about his own situation anyway. “What type of places are around here to eat?” was the last thing he asked in their native tongue before switching to English as well to order the same drink, content with something simple for now.

Shaking his head he puffed out some hair, blowing his hair from his face. He was thinking about growing out the shaven side, but he’d yet to actually do so as he’d had it shaven short recently, it might be time soon for a new hairstyle...maybe...though maybe not. “It’s been emotional.” He answered finally, after some moments of silence, waiting for the female to leave with their order. Switching back to the more familiar language, plus his better spoken one.

“Korea town...and China town both have good food, I have a Chinese friend. They have an American style fried chicken place - it’s good also. Italian as well...their pizza is different.” Thinking of the time Terry had taken him out for food, when he hadn’t been feeling well, the soup had been good as well. “All kinds of food but I haven’t tried many different things.” He kept meaning so, he really did, but it was just...unfamiliar to him and he stuck to the safe things. “I learned some barbecue can have peanuts in the sauce.” He didn’t say how, he doubted he had to. His cousin, like their whole family, knew he had an allergy to peanuts and nuts. “I stay away from it now, just incase.” Since he couldn’t really ask for the food without the sauce...which it was cooked in, and covered in...it took the whole point away from the food.

“Completely understandable.” Hyeon said and reached over to place a hand on Seung’s shoulder. He knew that if he had been the one who was practically disowned by his parents he would be just as emotional after all. But sometimes emotional could also include good emotions so hopefully his cousin’s boyfriend was providing that to help the other heal. When Seung switched back to Korean he smoothly went back to it as well. “Ah, so many different things that we could try out one of these days.” Now he was tempted to make a day with his cousins just sampling different foods, it might be a good distraction though they would have to be careful with what they order if the barbecue had peanuts in it, probably best to bring Seung’s boyfriend too then. “I hope you didn’t have any lasting effects from finding that fact out?” He asked with another glance over his cousin.

Shaking his head he tilted his head so he could press his cheek to the hand on his shoulder. “No, just a night spent in the hospital...and a good part of the day. I got some epi pens, I had some but I wound up with a few more.” So he had more than he needed, though now he always carried a few on his person. He also knew some were stashed at home somewhere, incase any accidents were to happen. Terry’s family was, and had long been, aware of his allergy and watched food labels so he knew what had any sort of nut in it.

“I still can’t believe all of this was over a girl with a crush...reminded me of what you hear about with sasaeng fans. Just as obsessive...just less resourceful.” He had heard, like many k-pop fans, of what those particular fans managed to do. He really couldn’t believe some of the stories and to what lengths they would go to stalk, harass, and know everything about an idol they liked. She wasn’t nearly so bad but the obsession to have him was obviously bad, and he had nothing else he could compare it to.

“We should try some of the foods. There are a lot of good Korean places also and Chinese, Fai has taken me to a few.” He was glad he had Fai in his life as a friend. The other wasn’t from Korea, nor was he even Korean, but he knew the language and had some cultural similarities that they understood each other. He was older, by several years, but they were good friends and he appreciated the friendship - a lot.

Hyeon frowned at learning that he had to spend time in the hospital but was thankful that his cousin hadn’t had any other lasting effects. “You keep at least one on you at all time then right?” He asked to make sure. That was something he would double check from time to time more than likely until he was sure that Seung wasn’t going to have any other problems. “What you told me of the situation I have to agree completely.” He agreed in reference to the girl. Thankfully he hadn’t had any fans that crazy and the ones he did have were pretty nice from the brief meetings he had with them. That was one of the things he regretted about leaving the group, disappointing his fans, but it had had to be done. “Well then we shall have to plan a day of it sometime.” Hyeon said with a smile after he shook his head to try and dispel the depressing thoughts. “Have you managed to make many friends besides Terry and this Fai?”

“I do now, didn’t...like back home.” Where he’d never kept one on his person, though he likely should have. He knew what he could and couldn’t eat. The foods here though...he didn’t know and not everything was easy to tell, as he’d found out. He hadn’t let his parents find out about his hospital trip but Terry had found out - he knew almost everything really. Terry and he were...close - really close. He had let him in a bit more than he’d ever thought he would, even if they were dating, though not all of it had been on purpose.

“I have a few others...not many. I’m teaching someone else Korean, they have helped me some with my English...since school only helps there and isn’t fast enough.” He was trying to push himself, to learn more and faster, it couldn’t really be helped honestly. “I have a friend who sings well...sings music from home but doesn’t...know what it all means. Can say it but...not the translation. She has a good voice though, likes to perform at the local park for people.” He said before breaking off to smile at the waitress as she returned with their drinks. Thanking her, in English, he took a sip and smiled up at her. When she walked away, seeming pleased, he turned back to his cousin. His drink held in his hand and sipping at it slowly.

He wanted to introduce his cousin to the few other friends he had but then he’d have to explain how he met them and he’d have to lie about that, and he rather disliked lying to his elder cousin. He would if he had to though, he just wanted to avoid it. “Do you have any idea what you are going to do here now?” He asked gently, not at all pushing or seeking any solid answer from the elder.

“At least now you are a bit more prepared then.” He said. It wasn’t surprising that Seung hadn’t been carrying one back home, Hyeon had known about that after all and hadn’t worried about it either, not when his cousin knew the foods. “I imagine you have someone helping you to figure out what is safer now?” At the very least if his cousin’s boyfriend was even halfway worthy of Seung like he was proving to be then he should be helping with that.

Hyeon gave a small smile as he listened to Seung talk about who he has been helping, glad that the other hasn’t seemed to be having many problems making friends and acquaintances. “What types of songs does your friend sing? Any particular group her favorite?” Like Seung, he broke off the conversation to thank the waitress but waited to take a sip of his drink until Seung started to speak again. The topic chosen had him pausing for a moment then shook his head. “I honestly am not sure, it’s not that I haven’t thought about what I could do but...” He trailed off and gave a shrug, looking down at his drink. Thinking about what type of work he wanted to do now always brought him back to his sense of loss and it wasn’t something he dwelled on.

Nodding his head to the others question he smiled. “Yeah, Terry and his family, they know what has nuts and peanuts in it. They are a big help. Not many others who I know are aware of the allergy so just them and the one who sings - Lily.” Since he knew her brother but wasn’t friends with him really. He was friends with her and she obviously knew. She had seen him when he was in the hospital.

“Don’t think she has a favorite group but she knows a few of the popular ones. I can take you next time to see her.” He offered peering over the rim of his drink cup. He would gladly take his cousin, he had a feeling Hyeon would like it, he did wonder how much it would remind him of back home the group he’d left - the friends he’d left. He knew how well his elder cousin thought of his group mates and how much leaving had likely hurt, his cousin cared for them all.

“You didn’t think you’d be changing careers so soon...or countries. It’s a big change and sudden.” He offered up in answer to where his cousin trailed off. “Go slow, I’ll help. You could dip your feet and take a class or two here and there - for feel.” He offered lightly.

“Good, I’m glad you are getting help with that.” Hyeon said with a pleased look on his face. So far everything he had heard about Seung’s boyfriend and his family were good so it was a weight off his shoulders at least. “I would love to meet her and hear her sing. Maybe I can give her a few tips here and there if she welcomes them.” He said with a smile. “Does she just like to sing as a hobby or is it something she wants to do as a career do you know?”

His smile slipped a bit and he nodded. “I wasn’t expecting it either. It was very sudden but needed.” The situation he had been in was just simply too much, though he felt guilty over having left and that guilt burned at him. “Thank you, I appreciate it little cousin.” He said then reached over and ruffled Seung’s hair, smile coming back at the offer.

“I don’t know, I could ask. I know she enjoys it and likes to sing at the park for people. She takes requests. She let me pick and told people it would be in another language, it felt a bit special.” He said smiling at the fond memory. It had been a good memory; he liked Lily. She was kind and friendly not to mention helpful. If she did plan to make it a career he was sure Lily would do well, she had the voice for it. Not to mention she seemed to have the financial backing that it would take to launch a career in music, which was good.

Sipping on his drink, chewing on a pearl when it came up his straw, he tilted his head a bit before laughing and moving to fix his hair. Pouting at his cousin he shook his head. “I’m glad you’re feeling better now. You’ve been in touch with the others, Minsoo-hyung and the rest?” He asked worried about his cousin keeping in touch with the others. Would he be able to talk to them and call them? Or would contact be cut by their label or what? Even if they were apart they should be able to continue to talk, and he hoped they could and were.

“We’ll pick you a class or two when you’re ready. You can try something easy….decide on a major later.” Or whatever else he might want to do. It was time to figure it out, and what a hypocrite Seung was being at the same time...not that he’d ever admit to that.

“I’m glad you got to share that then.” Hyeon said as he watched the fond smile cross his cousin’s face. Every friend he heard about from Seung made his heart soar for him since he knew how hard it is to leave all of your friends behind in a different country. He kept a smile on his face even though it wanted to drop at the question of his heart brothers and instead nodded. “Yes I have been in touch with them the best I can. I try not to call too often but many emails have been sent.” He didn’t want to call when they had downtime often since it cut into time they could be resting or eating but he couldn’t help calling some times just to hear them talk.

“That sounds like an excellent idea to me.” Though he wasn’t sure if he would know how to take it easy. Doing very little now was driving him up the wall but he needed to make sure he was back to normal health wise and he still wasn’t sure what he wanted to do with himself.

“That’s good. I keep in touch also. It’s still hard to understand some things here - cultural things...terms used.” He could still remember the one time he’d asked Terry about something he’d said while at a knight meeting. He still got stuck on some slang terms or phrases used, things he didn’t know and had never heard. “It’s good to keep in touch...to have home around you at times.” It was safe and comforting. It helped when all the new things drown you and you got stressed, as he did from time to time.

“We can see Korea Town also, most of the people are from Korea - at least the older people. Half our age are and half aren’t it seems. But they all speak it.” Accented in most cases, some with a heavier American accent than others. “The food is like back home but not much street food.” Which was sad, he loved the street food. It was one thing he couldn’t go without getting when he was out shopping back home.

“Terry...you met him you know. Hallyucon...”

“What sort of terms? I imagine I’ll end up having the same sorts of problems with most of not all of them.” Hyeon said with a curious look. He had heard some terms and phrases before thanks to his previous job since they had travelled to America before and when they taught English they did explain some in case they ended up using any in their songs. “Agreed. I’m not sure just how I would feel if I didn’t have ways to communicate with them, let alone if I didn’t have you and the others.” It was something he did not want to think about. Not at all thank you very much.

He gave a smile as Seung described Korea Town, glad he would have a small slice of home here at least. “Have you made friends with anyone there?” He asked. At the reminder that he had met Terry before he gave a thoughtful nod. “True, but it wasn’t a very long time to get to know him at all.”

“The one I remember was What's cookin' good lookin'? From Terry. I didn’t get it - not fully. I never heard that back home.” It wasn’t something he was likely to have ever heard either. Flirting wasn’t the same back home as it was here, a lot was different actually. “I wish there was a book of slang and other terms that are common here...and a translation or something explaining it.” He said huffing before taking a sip from his drink. It was still, at times, difficult to get what someone was saying though it was now more due to words and terms he never heard before, rather than language.

“I work at a small convenience store for a nice older couple. They have a daughter but she doesn’t work there. Most of the people I see are older but I did meet someone, I haven’t spoken to her in months, she was new from Korea also. I think she moved here around the same time we did.” Himself, his sister, younger cousin and his parents. “We had to help each other with clothing - couldn’t figure out how the sizes here translated. I found a store though, Lily’s sister owns it, they have clothing from Korea and a computer that translates sizes.” And when he spoke of the store he brightened up just thinking about it. The fashion was right, it fit, and it was comfortable and while it wasn’t what everyone wore here he didn’t much care to be honest. It was what he liked, and was used to.

“No, it was a short time. You’ll get to know him better now though. But he is good to me...though there are some differences and have been some ups and downs they have been few.” Mostly because he kept secrets, and he knew it, and he shouldered a lot but didn’t say anything about it. But that was ok.

Hyeon gave a slow blink as the term registered. “What in does that mean anyway? Does it make more sense with context? Were you cooking at the time?” He asked then took a sip of his own drink. “A book would be helpful yes. Have you tried to see if there is any websites that might have explanations for them?”

“How do you like working there?” He asked after Seung finished telling him about his job and the family that owned it. “You will have to show me the store some time then.” He hadn’t been looking forward to trying to figure out sizes on his own and had been planning on seeing if his cousin could help him with that anyway and having a store that had familiar clothing lines and sizes would be a big help.

He nodded in understanding and gave a smile. “Such is the way of any relationship. But if you ever need to talk about anything I’m here for you.”

“No...I wasn’t. We were out with people in a group setting. I was just sitting down and greeting Terry.” if he remembered right. He knew where he was, and who was around, but if he had been sitting down and greeting people he wasn’t sure. He was fairly certain he’d been greeting people though, as that was a greeting of sorts. “It is something like asking what’s up...or what is going on. Not something I knew.” And his cousin obviously didn’t either. “No, I haven’t looked online.” Though he was certain his younger cousin would have done just that, if she hadn’t already.

“It isn’t bad. I do a lot of work, especially the lifting for them. But it isn’t too bad, they understand I’m in university also.” So they went a bit easier on him, something he appreciated. He was glad they took his schooling seriously and didn’t push him to work longer hours, they even asked how he was doing in school at times.

“Of course, the store is good. It has clothing from other countries also. But Lily’s sister Rose has been to Korea for Seoul fashion week and she gets clothing from home.” He knew his cousin would like learning of the place, now just wait till he brought him there. He couldn’t wait!

“I know...and now that you are here it’ll happen...now that I don’t have to hide from you.” He’d been so worried for so long. He had wanted to tell his cousin, he’d wanted to sob into his cousins arms when Akihiko had died but he’d kept it in...cried but not outright sobbed like he’d wanted to. He hadn’t wanted his hyung to get suspicious and question why he was so emotional over it. He could talk to him more freely now and it was...refreshing.

“I’ve been working on improving my driving and getting my license. My driving scares him...and my license is from home. He worried about how much I ate, still does I think.” He was sure at times more food got onto his plate - somehow. He also remembered in the beginning when Terry really worried and had brought it up. “Drinking worries him also, he doesn’t like when I drink at all.” Which was normal, he didn’t even have to explain to his elder. “The school work and job and other obligations he thinks are too much - not enough sleep or time to relax. He thinks I over do it at times...he caught me getting a drip once….” He doubted his cousin would even like the last part but was likely to at least understand it, even if he did get scolded for it. Hyeon would understand him over working himself and pushing himself to that point, even if he didn’t like it especially with what had happened to him due to that.

Ducking his head, hiding his dark eyes with his cup, and his bangs, he sipped slowly at his drink in an effort to drag it out and not meet the elders equally dark eyes. He knew some points his cousin might agree on, at least to a point, even if he understood. There might be worry, concern, and more from the elder...and he was hiding from those looks.

Hyeon blinked then gave a shrug. “Kind of a strange greeting.” He supposed it might either be playful or flirty though since it has the good looking part though. That said he turned his thoughts to the possible helpful website. “One of us should look into that then, it would probably help future confusion.” Or possibly worsen it if the website didn’t explain it well enough. A small smile tugged at his lips as the topics they covered kept jumping back and forth but he didn’t mind and it was easy to keep up with it. “I’m glad you don’t mind working there, it isn’t fun to work under conditions that you hate.”

“Then we should find some time to go there and shop.” He said before he scooted his chair over to be able to give Seung a sort of half hug. “You didn’t have to hide it from me before, I would have understood. But I also understand why you did so.” And he truly did understand why his cousin hid his preference and most certainly would not begrudge him for doing so. The issues with Seung’s parents were a prime example of why it was easier to hide it away.

At the mention of how Seung’s driving scared Terry, Hyeon gave a look that was a mix between puzzled and amused but he didn’t say anything just yet as his cousin continued to talk, content to listen. The comment about the drip got a frown and a once over for any visible needle marks. “It sounds like he is doing his best to take care of you at least.” He didn’t say anything about Seung over working himself, not knowing what he schedule was like to make that type of call at the moment. “How many times have you had to drip?” The answer would tell him right there if Seung was indeed overworking himself.

“No, I can’t imagine it would be fun to work under conditions you don’t like much less ones you hate.” As his cousin had done. He liked to sing and dance, to perform, but he hadn’t been treated well. The dream had turned into a nightmare for his cousin and he’d left, he’d had to. He wasn’t sure what he’d have done were he in his cousins place instead.

Nodding his head, glad that his cousin understood and wasn’t upset at the well kept secret. “I’m glad...and you never know. You think people will care for you - no matter what but then they don’t. I never intended for anyone to know.” He would have continued to keep it a secret for as long as possible had his cousin and sister not found out, had he not started to date, had some girl not outed him. He’d have kept it from everyone but himself. He’d have lived as he had back in school...pining for people, sleeping around, and never letting himself have a relationship or anything stable. That had been how he’d seen his life going previous to moving, and even after arriving. The only difference was his younger cousin and sister knowing his secret.

“He is...he tries.” Sometime he made it harder, he knew it, but some things were just...ingrained and they just were. It was how things were, how they’d always been...like breathing. “How far back? In the last year…?” He questioned while still avoiding his cousins gaze. He’d been caught once by Terry and once by another knight of Ganymede. He had been good at keeping that secret as well, he was well practiced in it really. “Nine...ten times in the last year.”

“And I hope you never do find out how it is like.” Hyeon said, consciously keeping his mind from replaying any memories of his experience. Before he had managed to leave the contract, a recurring nightmare had kept popping up after his faint on stage of himself doing that over and over again though usually with worse consequences than just bruises. He could have lived with himself getting hurt but in his nightmares his band members would try to catch him and get hurt because of it, or even killed like in the one that happened the night before he quit.

“I agree that it’s hard to judge what people will do, but not letting anyone know sounds like it would be tough and lonely. If nothing else then I am glad that you don’t have to be lonely in it anymore.” He said with a smile and another half hug. The smile dropped a bit at the question of how far back Seung needed to figure in his drips and his eyes narrowed a bit. He was about to clarify to go back to since he moved to America when Seung continued. “...That is almost once a month if stretched out.”

“I’m surprised they let you out of the contract...or are they looking to take legal action..?” He asked softly. Thinking of previous idols who had left groups owned by SM entertainment and the law suits they’d had to deal with, and were still dealing with. He hoped his cousin had gotten away without such an issue, as farfetched as he thought that was. “I don’t plan to ever do something I hate.” Didn’t he thought? He was planning to go into business, like his father wanted him to do, when it was far from what he wanted to do. Wasn’t he doing the same thing but just less extreme than his cousin had?

Leaning into the hug, finding comfort in it, he nodded his head slowly. He was glad he wasn’t alone now. He had been alone too long in this and at a point where he hadn’t wanted to be. He really had wanted to tell someone, wished someone had known. But at the same time was too afraid, too untrusting, to tell anyone. He had kept his secret more out of fear and nervousness than anything else. Even if his family accepted him what about friends? Peers...a boss or even future co-workers? If they found out it would make a job hard to attain and university would have been far more difficult as well.

“Not once a month, sometimes more than one a month. I’ve gone a while without before needing to. Not exactly something he should be saying but it was true. He had been able to avoid it for a while but then there were times when he was pushing himself a lot and he needed the boost.

“I’m under restrictions for the remainder of however long my contract had left, restrictions like I can’t sing in a group not under their employ at least in South Korea, but beyond that I’m mostly free.” Hyeon said then took a sip of his drink. He knew he had managed to come out of easy compared to others and part of the restrictions were why his parents suggested for him to come to America.

When Seung leaned into the hug, Hyeon hugged him closer. He could readily admit to his cousin that he missed contact like this but was more focused on making his little cousin feel better right now then to focus on his own feelings. “Then I have to agree with Terry that you are overworking yourself. I can’t blame you for it but I can fully support your boyfriend in making you relax more often. Even if I have to make sure to drag you out to hang out with me to do so.” He said, half serious and half trying to keep things light hearted.

“Like Luhan and Kris got recently.” There was more to it, a lot more, he was sure but that was the gist of that. The two EXO members were stuck under SM contract till they timed out...it seemed his cousin was the same way now. It was liveable, even if annoying. But with his cousin living in this country it didn’t really impact him, which was good.

Lifting his head to stare at his elder cousin he tried, and failed, at giving puppy dog eyes. “I knew you two would gang up on me.” He stated, though he really wasn’t upset or bothered by it honestly. He loved them both, how could he not? “Shopping and time spent together would be good. It’s been a long time. When was the last time we went out for dinner and drinks or even to a concert or shopping for clothing? Not since you became a trainee really.” Aside from the meeting during the convention but meetups were impossible since his cousin got taken in by SM, and he understood it though he hadn’t liked it one bit.

“Why don’t we head out and finish our drinks on the way. Maybe find a place to eat on the way. There is a lot to talk about I’m sure.” Less stressful topics, things that didn’t involve his parents and him being kicked out. Things that didn’t involve his cousin leaving friends, who were as close as family, behind in Korea. Things they could talk about and enjoy.

“Yes, it’s the same type of situation they have.” Hyeon nodded and didn’t expound on it. If Seung asked he could show him the contract agreement later. For now he was more then happy to let the topic drop. At the puppy eyes he just gave Seung a smirk and ruffled his hair. “Yeah well you knew right.” He said then the smirk turned into a happy smile. “Yes it has been. Now we don’t have to rush through things when spending time together. Well we did have dinner when my group came to the convention but I don’t remember before that.” He nodded and pulled away from the hug to gather up his drink and stand. “Let’s go explore then.” A pleasant time with his favorite cousin was just what he needed right now.
