His uniform kept him warm, it really did, and he was happy for it every time he powered up during the winter. As small as he was, and with little body fat, he felt the cold easily. If he could he would have woven a scarf around himself but he felt it would be ridiculous if he did so, through his nose felt a bit numb and cold as did his ears. The General wasn’t going home though, cold as he was, he had a patrol to make and wanted to see if he ran into anyone, or anything, which was interesting.

Lately it had been boring, so boring. The only thing interesting was his work with that knight - Scholomance. Aside from that his nights spent powered up were boring. He’d almost rather stay at home in front of his fireplace or curled up under his blankets in bed while he graded the artwork of students, most of whom didn’t care one way or the other how they did in art class. At least his time wouldn’t be so boring and there would be a purpose to it.

Noting the street he had just turned on to was deserted, not a single light, car, or person to be seen, he jumped down from the rooftop and landed on the sidewalk. Gloved hands slipped into the pockets of his coat as he made his way down the sidewalk with as much confidence as he possessed - this was his sidewalk.

After her run in the negaverser she was feeling a bit more confident. Her magic worked really well on him and she felt maybe she could count on it to help her out of tight spots. She strolled along, phone in hand because even though she felt more confident that didn't mean she wouldn't need back up. She shivered a little and frowned, as cute as her outfit was, being sleeveless in January at night was far from fun. She just wasn't wearing nearly enough clothes. She could not wait for summer.

She didn't head for the park tonight, instead heading for the area around the high school. It wasn't as far from her house as the park, that was just really really far and she figured she’d be less likely to get into trouble.

She headed down the street intended to do a once or twice around the school, patrol the neighborhood and head back home. Hopefully an easy night.

Loose locks of blond hair brushed against his cheeks, and not for the first time he wondered if he could cut it. He liked it long, he liked to have it tied back as he did when civilian, but he always wondered what Aiden thought of it not to mention when people questioned his gender. He’d had it happen more when powered up, since his hair was let down, and he wondered if he did look female...or more female than male. Staring at himself as he passed a glass window he shook his head, tucking strands of hair behind his ear. He looked fine though, he didn’t see what some others did, he just hoped Aiden didn’t mind. The other had never said anything.

Shaking his head he focused back on other things. The only reason his thoughts had even gone that way was he’d heard two of his students whispering about him on his way to his car earlier, he couldn’t help but hear them - they’d been as obvious as most high school students were. It had, honestly, been on his mind most of the day. He was gay, yes, which they had guessed but he wasn’t looking to look like a female nor was he looking to be female...which the girls had mentioned as well - brats. But now wasn’t the time to think about it, much less worry about it. He could feel an aura though it wasn’t like any he’d felt in a while.

This was a senshi but..a chibi. Tilting his head, as it that might help him assure himself of this, he made his way toward the signature. They were weak, first stage? They’d pick up on his aura soon no doubt. His hand was back in his pocket and he was walking with ease, nose up in the air, toward the signature. Time to see some other little child turned soldier by some damn cat the other side had. He hated chibi senshi but he wanted to kill the cats who made them.

Rhea frowned when she felt the dark signature of a negaverser and it seemed to be getting closer. She wondered if that meant the other was trying to get to her and sighed realizing she might not get that easy night she hoped for. She decided not to seek out the other off course instead heading for the off the sidewalk and headed around the side of the school. She had her phone and if the other got to much closer she could call for her.

She didn’t know the stronger signature meant that it was a negaverser that could teleport and she’d never really met personally any nega expect for the camo guy from a few nights ago. She frowned holding her phone close. Whoever was near, that person was a really big ick and left her feeling really nervous. She ran her thumb over her phone and scrolled through her contacts as she walked. She didn’t have that many. Her thoughts were of course drawn to Hugbell and Methone, who felt bright and sweet, big like the icky nega but good.

Well, either he had been felt or it was just a coincidence but the little one, as he was sure it was a chibi, was walking away from him. If they had picked up on him than it was a smart move on their part, he’d give them credit, but he was curious and wanted to see what little one he’d encounter. He’d run into a few in the past, very few, and wondered if it would be one of them again or some other little tot that a cat cruely brought into this mess of a war.

That in mind, and having a good idea of where he could go to get closer, he was gone one moment and the next he was almost right on top of the signature. Standing on the rooftop of the school he decided to call out and see if they dare respond.

“Come out little one. I can sense you...I know you can feel me.” There was no way they couldn’t, basic level senshi or not - they could feel him. Would they take off running now? Would they respond...time to find out...how interesting this would be.

Rhea jumped when she felt the signature suddenly get very close and even stronger. She dropped her phone from the start and looked up, pressing herself to the side of the building when she heard the other’s voice. ‘How on earth did they get there?’

She frowned realizing he called her little one and rolled her eyes. Why did everyone insist on acting like she was still this tiny little 9 year old chibi … she was 5’2” and just a few months shy of 14. She may be a little short, but she wasn’t a little one any more anyway. She sighed trying for once to tap down the urge to sass the person talking to her.

She realized though she was in a bit of a situation because if she stayed still her would find her, but if she moved, he would probably see her. Not to mention she dropped her phone in the grass. She sighed deciding to just try to wing it as best should could. Hopefully if things went sour her magic would get her out of there in one piece.

She stepped away from the building, “I’m not that little,” she said crossing her arms over her chest and staring up at the rooftop.

Walking towards the edge, once he heard that voice floating up to him, and peered down at the chibi. Well, this wasn’t one he’d seen before. “You are.” He stated evenly before stepping off the roof's ledge and letting himself fall to the ground below. Fabric moved with the wind as he fell before he landed and it hung down about him. Lawyers of fabric drowning him and making him appear shorter than he was, as did his boots, but he was taller than the child senshi….at least by a bit. He was most certainly older though.

“You are a chibi senshi and thus little.” He stated while looking her over. Why was it that cats saw fit to bring children into a war? Their lives at risk more so now, due to the target painted on their backs, than if they had remained civilians. He would never understand it….or accept it.

“What are you doing out? Shouldn’t you be home - nice and warm?” Like he wanted to bem but he had duties to fulfill and patrolling was the most basic of those.

“I’m young not little … there is a difference, I mean I am a teenager …. and besides you're one to talk,” she eyes him hard because yes, he was taller than her, BUT just barely. “You are barely bigger than I am … at least Im still growing. What’s your excuse?”

She cocked her little hip to the side clearly waiting on an answer and forgetting her manner altogether, right along with her common sense. She was really getting annoyed with the little thing, like she was a baby or some something. Her frown deepened however, at his next question, “shouldnt we all be home nice and warm.”

It Rhea was anything aside from cute, it was sassy. She didn’t care much for people being condescending or asking things she felt were clearly stupid. “Its not like I asked for this … I didn't go out and ask a magically talking cat to take me to war, but it happened and I’m doing my part.”

To a point anyway, she was afterall 13 and she had to be careful about sneaking out, lest she got caught. And her start had been a rock one and it was really only recently that she was really going out more and taking a more active role.

Ohhhh this little one had attitude, he kinda liked that. “Young and little.” And yes, still growing...how unfortunate. It wasn’t his fault he had bad genetics, at least when it came to height. He was well proportioned, which meant he had small hands with slender fingers. He was petite all around, and he knew it, though he did his best to make up for it with morning runs and time spent in the gym. He did his best but it was all hidden away under his uniforms lawyers of dark, rich, fabric. “It’s called genetics, something you’ll eventually learn about little one.” He finally answered.

“”Perhaps, but especially little children. You should have school in the morning - shouldn’t you be in bed getting your rest.” He stated, his slate like eyes focused on her. She had to be...in middle school? Maybe not. Certainly not high school though. Nope, this one should be snug in bed somewhere. Not out here.

“Of course not but you don’t have to come out. You can put away your little pen and go back to being a normal child - like you had been.” He stated while crossing his arms, in a manner that might be better suited to an actual parent rather than him. His nose in the air, as much as it could be, with him looking down at her and his arms crossed. “Little kids shouldn’t be fighting in a war. Leave that to the adults.” Though he had been sixteen when he’d joined, not that he would say that, he had done his time and paid his dues. He was an adult now and if someone knew what to look for, if someone could read another person, they’d see it reflected in his eyes. All the time, all the sacrifice, the killing...everything. He was no innocent and hadn’t been in a long time, he had seen and done things most his age never had.

“Go home. Go to sleep. Go be normal, leave this to the adults.”

Rhea put her just held up a hand to stop him, looking more irritated with every word he spoke. “Seriously, you look young enough to have school in the morning yourself, so stop … little children. Dude really I’m not a little kid. I’m almost 14, I’ll be in high school before 2017 is out so just stop. You’re being annoying and you have no idea what you are talking about because you don’t even know me.”

She screwed her face up when he said little kids should be fighting and to leave it to the adults. Telling her to go home and sleep. She glared at him so hard, she probably could have ignited him with the heat of it if she had some fuel.

“First off, I do not even want to hear that. You and your go around ruining people's everyday lives like its nothing. Attacking carnivals, conventions AND TURNING TRAINS INTO YOUMA. BE NORMAL! BE NORMAL! HA AS IF”

She was pretty angry with him at the moment, “at least with this pen I can protect myself in this crazy war. Im going to fight because you all clearly have no respect for this city or the people in it and who cares if im a “child” … clear not you all … otherwise you would be doing things like unleashing hordes of youma … and killing people who dont have anything to do with this. You're all horrible … AND FOR WHAT … WHAT ARE YOU EVEN DOING THIS FOR?”

Tears slipped over her cheeks and she brushed them away angrily. She didn’t mean to cry, but this guy. He just had no damn clue as far as she was concerned.

Laughing he shook his head and smiled, his lips quirking upward. He looked like a little kid? Damn! He was small but to look like he should have school in the morning? That was...damn. Ok so maybe university but he doubted she was implying that.

“To be fair the train was not planned. That was a surprise to us.” Not that he had been there, it wasn’t his thing, but he had heard about it. He knew that was not the original plan or any plan actually. It was a surprise to those there...and had almost killed their own officers. He still didn’t want all the details on that, it sounded rather gross. “The other things...well not this past Halloween carnival...but yeah, we’ve had our share of...fun.” Fun for them...not so much fun for others - oh well?

“We’re doing this to remove the senshi and knights from this city.” He didn’t say anywhere else as he knew that job had already been done by other capable hands. This was the last stronghold and he intended to help in removing the opposition. “This is a fight from long before either of us and it’s going to end here in this city.” Of that he had little doubt. It would end, hopefully in his generation so he could settle down with his partner and live a normal adult life, he did not want this war to continue on.

Glancing her over he tilted his head, eyes blanking as he seemed to almost look like some vacant, though pretty, porcelain doll just standing there dressed like a doll might be. “Protect yourself...not against me - not as you are anyway. Not if I wanted to seriously hurt you. But I don’t do the whole hurting and killing of little children thing An even, almost empty, tone of voice as he blinked at her once. “You’re rather lucky it’s me here and not someone else tonight. You have something older senshi, and knights, don’t have when it comes to me.”

She didn’t like that he admitted the train was a surprise, well she supposed that made sense. Everyone seemed really alarmed, but she was too focused on making sure she and her moment didn’t die to pay much heed to whether the bad guys looked surprised. She took a step back away from him when he thought to call anything like what she mentioned fun. Anything that could potentially kill an innocent person wasn’t fun in her book.

Another step back was had when he said they were trying to remove the senshi and knights from the city … the camo guy had said there weren’t any senshi anywhere else. She shivered not liking how the statements tied together. His expression, or rather lack thereof made her move further back away from him even as he said didn’t hurt or kill children … it seemed however, that if they were trying to get rid of senshi and knights, chibi’s were fair game. She gulped, and decided she had enough of this conversation. She wasn’t listening to him any more. She tossed her arms out in an arch at him and quickly called out her attack. “Little giggles,” she shouted, the gust of air rushing at him. She didn’t wait for the laughter to start, she turned and ran wanting to get as far away from him as possible. She didn’t see her phone, but she would worry about it later, right now she just need to be as far away as she could as fast as she could.

Still with that doll like look he watched her back up, smiled even a bit, but kept himself as neutral and blank as he could. It wasn’t a look he went for normally but it had an effect on people when pulled off right. He liked to do, and say, things to get reactions from others. He liked to unsettle people when he could, even if it meant ripping a starseed out in front of someone and eating it. He’d done that and he would again if he ever felt it would help him - give him an advantage.

“Don’t worry...I won’t hurt you...yet anyway. You’re still too young. Once you’re older though…” He trailed off. He could have said so many things, done even a few things, but instead she was saying something and there was a gust of air. Moving to step back he didn’t avoid it, though what it was he didn’t know. He found it strange though, for a moment anyway, when he started to...giggle. A moment later it made sense, the words she’d said and his sudden bout of giggling.

He did not giggle! He might laugh but he did not giggle. He was giggling though and it didn’t seem about to let up as he round up curling in on himself on the ground as he shook with giggles. This was not magic he liked, though it was better than other magic he’d been hit with. This wasn’t something he wanted to fall under the sway of again, especially not in front of other people. At least the chibi was gone and didn’t see his features crack and give way to the giggles which poured from him.

When he finally was safe, and silent, he did bring himself home where he could curl up and sleep...in a nice warm bed, with a nice warm body next to his own.
