Chike broke away from Cassie the moment she said go, running towards the playground with his wings flapping uselessly. He had been cooped up all day running errands with his mother (he had volunteered to go with because he didn't want to help Aten do laundry, but it was still a long day), so getting a break at the park was nice. It wasn't often he was separated from his siblings, let alone just with his Mom.
The little Fallen climbed like an expert, and with the use of his wings, somehow figured out how to perch on top of the dome that covered the highest peak. From afar Cassie could only sigh, and Chike gave her a bright, Smolder-channeling grin. "It's really cool up here!" he informed, holding on tight (for safety was somewhat important). However, the appeal quickly wore off, and a bit absently Chike wondered if any other kids might come by. He didn't want to complain about being away from home but having people to play with was always nicer.

 Marco smiled at his new mommy when she brought him to the park and sat down and told him he could go play. Oh, yea Marco was going to go play, he ran off looking around to figure out what he wanted to do. Marco's little bat-like wings fluttered in his excitement. Marco climbed a latter and then looked up to see a freshling fallen on top of part of the structure. Marco tilted his head to the side wondering if they were trying to fly or something. "What ya doing up there??" Marco called out in his curiosity. Marco didn't have any siblings so it was normally nice to hang out with another freshling as long as they weren't too uptight.

Chike had gotten caught up in his head, imagining how he was going to rule the Kingdom like some sort of bad play on The Vespercat King. He hummed a little, sitting cross legged at the top, wings beating every now and again to help keep his balance. Suddenly there was a voice below him and a sofy "huh!" escaped him, nearly knocking him off balance. Chike twisted, noticing both the boy and the parental figure that had joined them at the park.
"Looking at things," the mutant boy informed, letting himself slide towards the edge. From afar Cassie probably looked displeased, Chike moving even further until he was hanging over the edge. "When did you get here? Can you fly up here too?" the brightly colored boy asked, immediately noticing Marco's smaller bat wings. He didn't know any species that had wings like that naturally, other than maybe Chimera. Was this boy a Hallow too, maybe?

Marco smiled and said. "Hi I'm Marco." He didn't connect the dots that he had just recently done an art project with this hallowed's brother Anubis. Marco was mostly thinking about another chance to have fun, meet someone new. Marco looked around too looking at the view of the park "It's a nice new from down here too." Marco said cheekily. "I just got here, my mom is over there sitting on the bench." Marco said gesturing to the female orange imp hallowed watch him. He shook his head then and said "I can't fly." Marco fluttered his little wings. "These little wings are just for show I guess." Marco blinked his multi eyes at the other hallowed "Can you fly??" He asked curiously.

"I'm Chike," he responded, still hanging over the edge of the roof. His eyes tracked where Marco pointed, nodding in acknowledgement of his mother.
"Not really," the boy admitted, giving his wings a lazy flap. With a soft grunt and tongue between his teeth, Chike lowered himself down, wings flapping to help on the way down. "Well. A little," he admitted. "I can't fly high or far or really at all... but they help me sometimes jump higher and stuff." Chike shrugged. Much like Marco his wings were a little too small too to be completely useful, but they did act like sails from time to time.
Chike moved to the side of the platform, reaching for the fireman's pole on his tiptoes. "Do you want to play?" he asked before sliding down and out of sight.

Marco listened to Chike and then watched them disappear down the fireman pole after asking him if he wanted to play. Marco laughed and fluttered his tiny wings and followed after the other freshling, wondering what he wanted to play. This was what Marco had wanted a little bit of fun and adventure in his day. It was really nice after that uptight art class he had with Anubis. Not that Anubis was a bad guy but he was pretty strict and uptight. Oh well he had a chance now to have some fun and he was going to. Once Marco grabbed onto the fireman pole and slide down he looked at to see where Chike was and figure out what they were going to play. Maybe tag or hide and seek??

The boy took Marco's eager look as some sort of agreement, causing Chike to nod a bit uncontrollably for a moment. "Uhmmm," he pondered out loud, stepping back so that the Nixie-child wouldn't land on any part of him. "Do you like to play pretend?" Chike asked sweetly, tilting his head.
"Playing pretend is one of my favorite things," the boy elaborated, wings beating excitedly behind him, causing him to lean up on his tip toes. "We can be firefighters or Vespercat tamers." With a long, almost dreamy sigh, Chike pulled his fluffy imp tail up into his arms, just holding it for a moment. "What do you like to pretend to be? A teacher?" he suggested, an equal opportunity playmate.

Marco came down and up to Chike. Humm what to play pretend. "Oh, I like that vespercat tamer one. We could pretend we are in the circus, being tumbled, vespercat tamers, being acrobatties!! Ring master!!" Marco was getting more and more excited with each of his suggestions. Pretend was a great idea, Marco had a big imagination and dreaming was a lot of fun. "So you want to be a vespercat tamer in this game? Or do you want to switch between lots of different ideas as we play??" Marco asked Chike unless he just wanted to only play one thing at a time.

Marco's energy was quickly rubbing off, Chike's bright blue eyes practically glowing with excitement. He nodded along at every suggestion. "Let's play circus," he decided for them, taking another step back as he surveyed their surroundings.
With a small, hobbled run, Chike gave himself a head start before jumping up onto the end of the slide. He turned around, mouth opened wide to show off his non-existent fangs. "I wanna be the Vespercat!" he informed, breaking off into a giggle. Patting his stomach absently, Chike nodded. "We can switch, what do you want to be first?"
Chike got a little distracted, claws clicking together. "A Vespercat who eats toes..." he humored himself, think out loud now. Playing the Vespercat left open so many possibilities.

Marco laughed as Chike made his suggestions for their game and he said "Ok I'll be the tamer and you can be the toe eating vespercat." He Giggles as he started to play out trying to keep Chike the vespercat from eating his toes. Pretending he was holding a chair. He thought of pretending to use a whip like he had been in some books about circuses but if he was in a circus he wouldn't want to use a whip on an animal it seemed really mean and he wouldn't like it if someone scared him or hit him with one. "Stay back you vespercat!!" Marco said as he backed away a little.

Chike immediately dismounted, landing a good few feet away from Marco. He was already laughing too much, wings pinned tightly back as he tried to look vaguely intimidating. He licked his lips before giving a rather impressive fake roar, bouncing a few steps closer.
"I just want to eat your toes, not do tricks!" the boy warned, tail dragging through the mulch around the playground. Moving with haste, Chike grabbed onto one of the larger poles of the structure, hiding behind it best he could as he peeked around. "Give me meat and treats!" He considered this for a moment. "And then maybe I perform!"

Marco laughed and said "But I like my toes just the way they are not in your tummy!!" Then he pretended to throw some meat to Chike and said "Alright then jump up and roll.." Marco said trying to think of a trick for a vespercat to do. "Or how about jump through the fire hoop!!" Marco shouted trying to think of something more exciting for Chike to do for their pretend circus show. He was still a freshling after all and he couldn't always be right. He sometimes needed help figuring things out that's what friends and parents were for right?

Chike crouched the slightest, springing out from his position behind the pole. He made an exaggerated chomping motion before moving to rub his claws over his belly, letting out a poorly sounding purr. Cat noises other than roaring were not his strong suit.
Wiggling in his spot, Chike followed Marco's gesture. With his wings flapping a bit uselessly, the Fallen boy ran for him and gave a little hop in accordance with his fire-leaping routine. With a little too much enthusiasm, Chike dropped down onto his hands and knees for a moment before roaring again. Laughing, he stood once more and turned back to Marco. Clapping twice, he cleared his throat.
"Your turn!" he declared. "Kitty... can do limbo!" Chike put his arm out to the side, lifting his wings so they wouldn't get in the way, creating some sort of limbo bar for the other Freshling to easy duck under. He waved his other hand around a little. "Or will you be naughty!"

Marco clapped his hands and cheered at Chike's clever moves and laughed this was a fun and funny game. Marco had never tried to purr himself so he didn't really think on whether the purr was perfect or done poorly. Marco laughed and bent backwards in an attempt to limbo which he had never tried before. Not thinking of trying this game, he did his best to balance but he feel backward and giggles "I guess I'm naughty then since I'm not a limbo star." Marco teased and then ran off giggling "I'm a naughty vespercat!! Meow!! Roar!!" Marco giggled as he ran away from whatever punishment Chike had in mind.

Chike jumped a little as Marco fell, offering a hand if his new friend needed it. However, the Hallow was quickly off and running and the boy gave a little hey in Marco's wake. "You need more training!" Chike announced, wings flapping as he chased after the rainbow colored boy.
"Naughty, naughty, naughty," the orange-colored boy echoed, circling Marco in a wide arc. His grin was a little s**t-eating, but it quickly dissolved into something tamer. Tongue between his teeth, he lunged forward and pushed Marco's shoulder ever the softest. "Tag, you're it!" he shouted before darting off.
Chike obviously was not phased by the abrupt change in game, running as fast as he could towards the far side of the fenced in area, laughing all the way.
