Micari was humming to herself, her next class was baking it was her favorite part of the day. She walked in and took and seat waiting for the teacher to explain about today's cooking project. She was just about bouncing in her seat as she waited, what seemed like forever but was likely only a few minutes for the other students to come in and take their seats as well. She wondered what they would be making today, cookies, cake, candy, something salty and yummy?? Cooking was Micari's favorite thing there were so many possibilities to what they could be making.

Bliss had yet to be enchanted by their cooking class, mostly just easy projects that the kids could later snack on to keep them occupied for an hour or two during the day. They had yet to use any of the scary kitchen appliances, but that didn't mean the task didn't intimidate them. The Naiad move to sit in his chair, sighing a little as he rested his chin on the desk.
Before them, the professor took a moment to count heads before announcing the recipe of the day. They would be making Granola Bites, and needed to get into pairs to do so.
Reluctantly Bliss slid out of his chair, moving to push his long hair back over his shoulder. He was already drying out and the heat of the room and all the appliances didn't help. Looking lost without Affinity, Bliss just stood there until someone claimed him as a partner, accepting his fate that he did indeed need to participate in his least favorite class. There were just so many ways he could screw this one up!

Once Micari heard the project was granola bites and they needed to pair up in groups of two. Micari started to look around for someone to pair up with. She spotted a pink naiad in a yellow sweater. She smiled and asked. "Would you like to be my partner??" She was already considering what they could use in their granola treat balls. Coconut, raisins maybe, honey peanut butter. There were so many things you could add to granola that would make for a wonderful easy snack that anyone could make. "What sorts of flavors do you like??" She asked the naiad curiously.

The plan worked as intended. Bliss pushed down the front of their sweater, nodding eagerly. "I'll be your partner," the Naiad agreed, eyes wide. He hadn't interacted much with Goblins, but the girl seemed nice enough, even if he couldn't see her eyes well. He trotted after, moving them closer to the long tables that had been set up for the project covered in paper to keep the top clean.
"I... like the taste of strawberries?" Bliss offered, having taken a moment to consider his words. "Cinnamon is good too, but maybe not with strawberries." He smiled a little. "Can we add marshmallows too maybe? Does that work?" He didn't have the faintest idea what was appropriate for these treats. "Peanut butter?"

Micari smiled and said "Thank you." She nodded as she listened to the things that.. "What is your name??" She asked. "I am Micari." Micari bit her lip thinking and said. "I'm not sure if strawberries would work, but maybe in little pieces??" She smiled and said Cinnamon does taste good." "I don't see why we could add mini marshmallows." She went to the table that was filled with lots and lots of bowls. Filled with different things like granola, mini marshmallows, cut up fruit, shredded fruit and sticky things to make it all stick together. Then dry powders like powdered sugar and cinnamon to make the snack less sticky in the end. "It's fun and easy you mix a few ingredients you like into a ball crunchy, sweet, sticky, then powdery." Micari laid out the instructions the teacher had talked about. "Ready?"

"Micari," he repeated, committing her name to memory. "M-my name is Bliss," the Naiad informed, trying to put some enthusiasm into his answer. She rated ideas and then, with a nod, he followed after her, tail pulled up into his arms so he wouldn't get his scales dirty on all the stray flour and granola bits that had already made way onto the floor.
"I think so?" the long haired boy returned, tilting his head the slightest before pushing his locks back over his shoulder. He didn't know how to put his hair up but he didn't want it falling in the mix. Leaning onto his toes, he pulled the pull of a cinnamon closer. "I'm okay if we don't use the other stuff," Bliss informed quietly, picking this out as his ingredient of choice. "What do you want in it? You can start."

Micari smiled and said. "Nice to meet you, Bliss." Micari pulled the peanut butter, honey, granola, and raisins forward as well, then she took a bowl and started to mix everything together. "Ok now help me roll these into balls and coat them in the cinnamon." She said cheerfully confident that this batch would turn out yummy and likely taste kinda like an oatmeal cookie or something. She giggled "Food is so much fun it's my favorite thing, I want to be a chef when I grow up, what about you Bliss?" Micari asked curiously. She glanced over at her partner as she continued their project.

He looked to his hands first, wiggling his dried fingers. "Shouldn't we wash our hands first?" the Naiad questioned a bit worryingly. That was like cooking 101! Regardless of what Micari would advise him, Bliss scampered off and washed his hands promptly, tossing a quiet sorry over his shoulder on the way. He would worry himself sick otherwise at the thought of getting someone ill from his hands.
Slowly he returned, careful not touch anything until he was knuckle deep in the mixture Micari made. He smiled a little now, sheepish. "I can roll balls," he agreed, liking the texture in his hands. "I... like food," Bliss agreed, but the boy was positive that wasn't his calling. "I don't know what I want to be when I'm big though..."

Micari nodded and laughed "Your so right that is like the first rule of cooking, thank you, Bliss, that would have been a really stupid mistake." She smiled and nodded letting Bliss roll the balls. While Bliss was working on that, she went to wash her hands, so she could help too. "I'm sure you'll figure out something great Bliss, you're really nice." Micari said with a smile. Taking some of the mixture to help roll them into balls and cover them lightly in Cinnamon. Class would be over soon and it looked like they had done really well. "They look great I really like your ideas." Micari said warmly.

Bliss was pleased by the result, the granola bites very simple. "Thanks, you too," the Naiad returned absently, holding his dirty fingers high so he wouldn't accidentally touch anything. At least the task had been simple enough and Bliss waited patiently as the caretakers came around to check their work.
Finally, once the all clear was given to start cleaning up, Bliss happily took one of the balls. He paused before holding it out to Micari, and then he grabbed a second for himself. With an almost purr he took a bite, his stomach having been close to rumbling the whole time. "They're really good," he informed with a smile, considering the class a success.
