Pyre kicked his feet against the chair, nose held up the slightest in the air as he tried to look anything other than suspicious. He wasn't exactly a trouble maker, but in his fond nature he was a bit of a nosy Nightmare. That much was true. Today there were many new faces in the playgroup but one in particular really caught the Fallen's eye.
Sliding out of his seat, Pyre pulled their wings close as they toddled through the crowd. With a smile that could possibly be read as creepy, they watched Enju for a moment. Not only was the other all glowy, they had three horns too. Pyre had siblings with mutations though so he knew better than to draw attention to that.
"Your white parts here glow, but not these," Pyre commented with a bright curiosity, a hand going up to his own cheek. "It doesn't hurt for you to glow, right?" Bold, Pyre didn't think twice about introducing themselves, their voice soft naturally despite the rather sudden and intrusive line of questioning.

 Enju blinked and blushed his skin turning kinda gray around his glowing cheek speckles. "Umm I well, Iiii.." Enju muttered flabbergasted. He wasn't excepting anyone to run up to him and ask him about his glow. He might have expected curiosity about his three horns or his two tails, or even his skull pupils. Glow and if it hurt?? What the heck?? "Umm noo it doesn't hurt. I don't know why some glow and some don't.." Enju said softly "Umm who are you??" He asked softly looking the fallen over they didn't look like a Hallow at all, and he wasn't sure if they were a girl or boy or neither, not that it really mattered anyway.

Pyre considered this quietly, ultimately not pleased with the answer but accepting. He rolled up onto his toes, head cocked to the side. "I'm happy they don't hurt," the boy concluded in his soft voice, a smile crossing his lips briefly. "Are you part Geist? I know Geist who glow too."
At the name thing, he smiled a bit wider, fluffing his pink hair out of his face with two hands. "My name is Pyre," he informed with a giddy tone, still not much above a half-whisper decibel. "I'm from a different play group than you," the young boy informed, stating the obvious as he moved to sit on the ground, tucking his feet under him. Absently, he reached for the nearest toy - it was a plastic carriage missing a rider. "I like your glow," Pyre added as an afterthought in attempt to be friendly.

Enju didn't know anyone as forward as this fallen, my goodness Enju though. Enju was used to gentle people, for the most part, he hadn't met his extended family yet. So his thoughts on how gentle and quiet Pyre was might change once he met his grandfather or uncle. Enju blinked as Pyre said he was glad that his glow didn't hurt. "Do you know geist hybrids who's glow hunt??" Enju frowned and then asked. "Is this your toy??" When Pyre took the toy from the carrier that didn't seem to be his, but maybe Enju was wrong and it was his. "I don't normally go to a play group, I have three siblings, though they don't often want to play with me.. especially my sister.." He said softly

He tilted his head, considering the words with a wiggle of his ear tufts. "No, I don't," Pyre admitted, fingers tracing the toy in his hand as he spoke. "But I've never asked before." Maybe he should ask Osiris some time? Osiris had many glowing spots and was always friendly to all of Aten's children.
Pyre's attention was drawn down to the toy, brows knitting together in confusion. He held the carriage up to Enju's eye level. "No, but we share a lot here," he informed, slightly confused. Maybe he was too used to his home where it was nearly impossible to have anything of your own when you had as many siblings as he did. They swapped around clothes a lot. "I play with my siblings when they're around, but it's okay to play with other people too," the Fallen informed with a smile. He set the carriage down, glancing around.
"The cart needs a rider," Pyre informed in almost a wonder struck tone, unsure if they could find a toy of the appropriate scale to sit in the middle. Struggling to his feet, Pyre dusted off his front. "Want to find one? Maybe we'll find another cart too."

Enju smiled a little as he got more comfortable hanging out with Pyre and the shock of the situation wore off. "Oh that's good so you won't get in trouble??" Enju asked softly, following after Pyre. Enju smiled a little more "Ok let's go try to find some more stuff to play with." Enju hadn't thought to bring toys with him, but it seemed from what Pyre said that the freshlings around here shared toys often. "Umm so what else do you like to do, do you like playing tag??" Enju asked softly "Or hide and seek??" He looked around for possible hiding spots. He was good at hide and seek.

Pyre shook his head. Had he ever gotten in trouble for playing with a toy before. "You won't get in trouble unless you take it," he corrected, remembering all the petty quarrels he had had with his siblings over the one favored toy. "The stuff here is for everyone."
The Fallen fluttered his wings, floating a few steps at the max extent of his flight abilities. "Tag is okay," Pyre informed in that same old whisper, moving to comb through his hair with his fingers. He smiled a bit brighter after a moment. "I like hide and seek I think. I only play it sometimes because it's hard to hide in my house." Was that what the glow-y Freshling wanted to do?
"What's your name?" Pyre countered first, realizing the boy had failed to give his name in return. The Fallen was still clutching the carriage. "I can play Hide and Seek if you tell me. I'm not supposed to play with strangers," he rattled off in a practiced sing-song.

Enju listened to what the fallen was saying and it made sense, Eistsu got really really mad if anyone took her books. Then again she got mad if you touched her stuff at all. Enju smiled a little and said "I'm Enju what's your name??" He asked softly, he wasn't sure if the fallen had told him his name either, and Enju wasn't sure if mommy and daddy had said anything about playing hide and seek with someone when you didn't know their name, but it made sense that they should at least exchange names while they were playing. Right??

"My name's Pyre, Enju," the Fallen informed, repeating the name in order to commit it a bit better to memory. He didn't know anyone with even a remotely similar name, so it would be easy with his unique looks too. This pleased him though, moving to set the toy down. Pyre pulled the edge of his sweater down.
"Do you hide, or me?" the Fallen asked, stretching his wings slightly. It was a bit hard to hide when his wings were so big and bright, but Pyre thought he could do it. There was a lot of other kids in the room who could easily make hiding somewhere easier by being the in the way. "You choose, your game!" Pyre practically squeaked in enthusiasm. Without waiting, he closed his eyes, bringing up his hands. "I'm a good counter, too."

Enju smiled and said "Nice to meet you." He listened to what Pyre said and he was about to answer as to who should hide first, but when Pyre starting to count Enju ran away to go and hide. He wondered if Pyre would be able to find him before his mommy or daddy found him to say it was time to go home. It was starting to get late and Enju spent a lot of time at home unlike his sister, who stayed at the dorm most of the time. Enju tucked himself into a little corner under the slide where it was pretty dark.

In his ears Pyre heard the patter of feet as Enju ran away to go find his hiding spot. While the Fallen was eager to play, he counted slowly and deliberately. Once he got to ten, he flung his hands back down to the sides, wings flaring out. "Here I come!" he shouted as loudly as he could muster, which really wasn't that loud.
Some of the other freshlings gave him a weird look having not received the memo, but Pyre pressed on towards the larger playthings in the room. There were a few easels and a coloring desk, none of which Enju was behind despite Pyre's exaggerated peeking. Pushing his hair out of his face once again, he moved down the line, stopping once he got to a pair of bean bag chairs. One was being shared by a pair of students, but the other...
With an eager smile, he poked at the oddly lumped bag. "Are you here?" he sing-songed giddily.

Enju stayed quiet as he hide under the slide waiting for Pyre to find him, then it would be Enju's turn to find Pyre it was fun to play with someone who actually wanted to play with him. Eistsu didn't want to play with him at all and the twins normally played with each other more than they played with him, not that they meant to leave him out. It still felt like Enju was the quiet forgotten kid. Loved just not big or flashy like Pyre was, Enju was such a quiet twinkling star. Enju moved a little and didn't realize that his glowing cheek was visible in the darkness under the slide.

He took a long, considering pause before jumping upon the bean bag chair, having accurately assumed that the demon hybrid was not there. Laying on his back for a moment, Pyre glanced around the rest of the room. There were so many other good hiding spots, and as he glanced around, something dark caught the corner of his eye from under the slide.
Maybe Enju didn't notice, but one of his tails poked out ever so briefly. Struggling out of the bean bag chair, Pyre hopped up onto his toes. With a gentle beat of his wings every step, the Fallen moved on his tip toes towards the slide. The tail tip was gone now but as he drew closer, there was a few glowing specs in the shadows. That for sure was telling of his new friend.
With a little more energy than usual, Pyre took a step onto the bottom of the slide. With a grin, the long haired boy leaned over the edge, gripping onto the plastic tightly. The little cavern was bright with Enju's glow. "Found you!" he whisper-spoke.

Enju laughed a little when Pyre said softly that he had found him, he was thankful that Prye hadn't shouted and frightened him, while he was under the slide. That might have hurt if he had hit his head jumping in surprise. Enju crawled out from under the slide and smiled. "On my turn to count." He said cheerfully. Then he went over to a bench and started to count, it took Enju a little longer to number all his numbers so it was more like 12 or 13 seconds rather than only 10. Enju was having so much fun playing with Pyre he was going to be a little bit sad when it was time to go home.

Pyre waited until Enju was seated comfortably to scamper off, sliding down the bottom bit of the slide before surveying the room. Pulling his wings tight to his back, he padded lightly towards the art easels in the corner of the room. It would be too obvious with his feet exposed though, the legs of the easel just sticks!
Doing his best to be careful, he pulled over one of the bins of toys, placing it in the gap between the legs. With a giggle, the Fallen climbed on top of the bin. While he had to stoop yet, wings jammed a bit awkwardly behind him, he was mostly concealed inside the a-frame. Perfect! Unknown to him, his long feathers stuck out the backside, but maybe Enju wouldn't notice right away.
