As the Freshlings were given their free time, Pyre debated heavily as to what to do. Things in the playroom had gotten dull with Castiel pushed up to the next grade - without any of his siblings in this section, the Fallen was a bit clueless on how to occupy their time. With a long sigh, the bright winged Fallen moved to the nearest pile of free toys, beginning to sort the contents for something interesting. Almost immediately a plastic bandage was put aside for his pile, the pink cuff slipped around his tiny wrist absently.
It took a bit of digging before Pyre found something interesting - a cute stuffed animal with pointed ears, though it looked as if it had seen a lot in it's time. Pyre smiled softly, cradling the worn out toy before scooting off to the side. Almost immediately he began to inspect it, pushing his long locks to the side as they fell in his face. "You're all hurt," he informed the yoy absently, fiddling with a small hole that was releasing stuffing at the leg joint. Pyre frowned heavily.

Dayanara was pacing restlessly she was bored, all her classwork was done and now it was their free time. Outside looked overcast possible it was going to rain, her wings shuddered at that. She hated getting them wet, took forever to get all the droplets of water off.
She walked towards the door in the back of the room that led to the play room, where all the toys and books were placed. In here messes were made and cleaned up with words of protest but it was done anyway. She knew there was stuffed animals she could practice bandaging up, make slings, make casts and if they were torn she could sew it up like real stitches! That made her giddy with glee, and with a bounce in her step she quickly moved and opened the door. Looking around she saw a huge pile of toys and headed straight for it. Her mind was on finding something to practice on when she heard a voice say something and she turned and saw a Pink haired Fallen. Surprised to find anyone in here since most went outside, she just stood there for a moment staring. She noticed a plastic bandage next to the toy in front of the Fallen. Curiousity got the best of her and she just watched to see what they would do as she made a small gasp of sound.

Pyre lifted his chin at the nose, a bit surprised and a bit pleased to see the classmate that approached was a Fallen too. His wings shifted in quiet delight, the longer feathers brushing the ground. "Hi," was all the pink haired Nightmare immediately said, a finger knuckle deep in the toy's stuffing.
He dragged his eyes back down, withdrawing his digit to instead play with one of the long strings. Absently, he reached for the plastic bandage, pausing for a moment before sliding it around the body of the creature. The stuffing made it into an hourglass shape, but the hole was covered. "Someone tore it open," Pyre informed, moving to rub his finger pad over the scuffed bead eyes. "Someone's hurt Mr. Cat... thing... a lot," he continued, flipping it over in order to note the absence of a tail. What particular creature was this toy a symbol of anyway?
"I can't sew things," he informed a bit sadly. "My Mom can, but I can just put a bandaid on it until I'm big."

Intrigued at how carefully he was tending to the torn toy, Dayanara knelt down to see exactly what her classmate was doing. Noticing all the injuries to the toy she began to wonder if this Fallen was attempting to fix it like she would have?
"Tore it open? Some of our classmates are not as gentle as others and destroy things. I come in here and tend to the best I can, I like to fix them like a nurse would." she said as she watched them flip the toy over.
"Sew?" "I can but only a little, my caretaker Kayndie is teaching me so I can do stitches neatly when I gradutate college as a nurse" with a smile the words came out softly. "It takes practice and you have to be really careful since the needle is sharp and it hurts when you stick your fingers with it" she giggled.
Is there anymore that need to be tended to? I can help, maybe we can work on them together?" she asked before remembering her manners and introduced herself. "My name is Dayanara what's yours? holding out her hand.

"Like a nurse?" the boy echoed, his wings further fluffing in delight. That word always excited him - his mother had promised him at least a hundred times over that yes, one day he could be a nurse like those he saw in the school's infirmary.
"Sew," Pyre echoed, "because this is just a toy." The Fallen's smile was bright though, clearly liking the girl already. He glanced back down, turning it over. "It's eyes are all dirty and it's missing a tail, I think." He wasn't sure how they'd really repair the eyes other than taking some paint to it, but maybe they could find a new tail? Or a bandaid for it's butt.
"That's a pretty name," the pink haired Freshling informed, shifting how he sat so he was facing Dayanara better. "My name is Pyre. I want to be a nurse too someday," he shared freely.

"Yes, just like a nurse and sew carefully because it is a toy but it can be good practice to keep a steady hand for when you have to assist a doctor or do the stitches yourself" she explained.
Looking at the toy that was still cradled in her classmate's hands, she wasn't looking at it like a damaged toy she was looking at it like something that needed medical attention. She scrunched up her nose a little and sighed. "The tail is missing maybe we can find it, make a replacement although it may take a while or we can sew up the hole carefully and bandage it up for now". Glancing at the face of the toy the eyes were all scratchy and discolored. "For the eyes I agree paint or maybe a dark marker like we use for art?" she asked.
Her eyes widened when he explained he wanted to be a nurse to. What luck she found him in here, they can tend to all the toys and help one another in future classes. That is if he wanted to be friends.
"Thank you, I adore my name it is a bit different from most. Your name is cute, does it mean something?" "You want to be a nurse like I do?" "Maybe we can tend to all the toys in here to practice and help each other in classes that is if you want to be friends? she held her breath when she asked that. She did not have many friends most of the other freshlings thought she was silly always trying to fix the broken toys and help those who scraped their knee or hurt themselves.

Pyre's eyes grew a bit wider. That was a pretty logical and appealing statement, and he looked down to the gap nearest to his finger. His mom didn't let him sew for the same reasons Dayanara had warned - pointy and sharp. Plus she probably didn't want one of them playing around with them or something, or losing it and leaving it in someone's foot.
"I... don't know what we can find." The only thing he could think of that small and maybe round like a tail was a crayon. That wouldn't work too well. "We can maybe sew it," he agreed brightly. Pyre glanced around, leaning upwards. "You 'member when we made those little sewing things on the plastic l-ooooo-m? They had those kid needles."
He glanced back to the toy before gently handing it over to the other Fallen. "I'll find a marker," Pyre agreed, nodding a bit sagely though the serious look was lost on his chibi face. Dayanara was asking him different questions now though and he turned back to her, blue eyes bright.
"I don't know what it means," he admitted, touching his lower lip with his middle finger. "But I can ask my fluffy Dad for you later when he comes." Pyre smiled, nodding along. "I'll fix the toys with you! My Mom says practice makes perfect. You don't always need magic to fix hurt stuff."

"For the tail we can see if there is any felt from art? Or just sew it closed for now until we can figure something else out" "I loved the plastic loom art thing we did, it was fun like stitching." she laughed and her eyes twinkled. "I like to do stitches, I am not that good yet but I try, my caretaker says I am better then her which I know she is joking" she accepted the toy as he handed it to her.
Looking around she tried to find anything that can be used to fix this toy but nothing caught her attention. She could not help it this Freshling was fun to be around, his personality was happy and sweet he seemed to genuinely care about the toys as if they were real. She found that to be a nice change from most of the freshlings that were in the class. Thinking to herself Wonder if it's because he is a Fallen or if it's just his personality" her thoughts were all over the place so she shook her head and looked back at the toy in her hands.
He was off looking for a marker to fix the eyes, and he had said something about asking his fluffy Dad which made her wonder what he meant. His voice sounded tender when he spoke of both his Mom and Dad which made Dayanara feel a little jealous, she never had a family until Kayndie.
"I agree magic is not the only way to fix hurt stuff, your Mom sounds like she is very smart" she said in a polite tone. "While your over there looking for a marker, I will look over here in this pile see if I can find the tail and she gently placed the toy on the floor where it wouldn't get stepped on and started going through the pile of toys.

Pyre padded about, scooping a few assorted markers off the table. It was always smart to have extras since most of the time they got all dried out. Triumphantly he returned, moving to kneel before the plush in order to perform the desired 'surgery.' Without care, he tested the first marker on the palm of his hand. His parents would make him wash his hands once he got home anyway.
Felt for the tail sounded like a good idea though and he awaited eagerly for the fellow Fallen's return. He hummed softly, turning the streak into an awkward legged cat. He didn't want to get ahead of himself as Dayanara had asked for his help in the process after all.
"Did you find the right color?" Pyre asked as she finally returned, moving to hold up the toy with his markered hand. "Or it can be special," Pyre informed with a smile, holding up the good marker in his other hand.

Moving the pile of toys carefully, she took each toy and placed it in a smaller pile next to her as she looked for the tail. It took a little while but she finally got to the bottom and no luck, the tail was not there. She put all the toys back knowing she would have to anyway and stood up to go over to the door to go to the art table in the main classroom. She looked around for the teacher and did not see them, so she crossed over and began looking for felt.
Carefully moving things she was not lucky in finding any but she did manage to find some stuffing, not much but it could help if they were able to find something to use for a tail. Putting the stuffing in her pocket she walked back over to the door and went inside.
Looking over she saw Pyre kneeling attending to the toy, he looked so happy. He was humming to himself and seemed as though he was really enjoying what he was doing. I wonder if I look like that when I do medical things that made her smile. Slowly she walked over and deliberately spoke before she got to him so he wouldn't jump and ruin what he was doing.
"No I could not find it but I found some stuffing, maybe there is something in here we can use to make a tail. Do you have any ideas?" she asked with a chuckle as she saw the marker on his hands. "You won't get in trouble for that marker on your hands will you? I will feel bad if you do" she frowned.

Pyre sighed through his nose but remained otherwise upbeat. "That's okay, we said we could just sew it otherwise, right?" However, to continue to be useful, the pink haired boy glance around the room and mused out loud. "Can... we use one of the towels for clean up time?" He glanced sideways, a bit of a naughty air about the words. The caretakers probably wouldn't appreciate it.
"My hand is okay," Pyre informed, rubbing it on his shirt fruitlessly for good measure. "My brother comes home messy all the time and he's a big kid. We all take turns getting baths, two every night!" He smiled softly, giving another window into the chaos that was their household.
"Maybe we can just put a patch on it's butt. We could use my sweater?" he suggested, holding up the edge. Was it actually his? Maybe not, but another holey shirt also wouldn't be anything new.

"Sure we can sew it and I have the little bit of stuffing I found if the toy needs it." she pulled it out of her pocket to show him.
She giggled when he mentioned clean up time, she thought she knew what he meant. But she did not comment on it, letting him give some ideas so he felt like he was helping. It was nice to have someone like the same things as she did, made her feel like she belonged somehow.
"What is it like to have a brother? I know that sounds silly but I have no sibilings at least none I know of." she said with a long sigh. "My caretaker is very good to me but I want to have a sibiling or two to play with, one older then me and one younger then me would be perfect this way I have someone to watch out for me and I get to watch out for the younger one" looking around the room to hide the fact she had tears starting to well up in her eyes. She turned and wiped her eyes on her sleeve before turning back to him.
"I don't think we need to use your sweater, we can just use the stuffing and sew it carefully. How about I put in the stuffing and you sew? Unless you don't want to, I think you can do it" smiling at him she knelt down on the floor to start putting the stuffing inside the toy.

"No siblings?" Pyre questioned, voice soft and almost hollow in horror. What was life like without siblings? "I have bigger and smaller siblings," the Fallen informed, ear tufts wiggling. However, very quickly his enthusiasm was dashed as Danyanara appeared quite upset.
Gently he patted her arm, tilting his head the slightest. His wings unfurled as well, the tips touching the ground as they drooped. "We share everything, and my siblings help me put on clothes and brush my hair sometimes." He licked his lips. "I have all brothers and one sister. It would be nice to have less brothers, but we aren't all that mean to each other." Was he helping? Pyre wasn't so sure.
"I can do it," Pyre assured, willing to change the subject if she was. He watched, wings adjusting as he waited for his turn. Using the plastic needles they had for their kid projects, he wasn't too afraid of hurting himself and she had made a good point earlier about practicing his handiwork.

"No sibilings that I know of, I am an orphan so it is possible I have sibilings I just don't know" sniffling a little before tilting her head at the pat on her arm. It felt nice to have someone try to comfort her.
She actually lost track of what she was going to do, the subject of sibilings brought out the ache of not having a family, she slowly sank to the floor and just sat there unable to do anything or say anything more just sat.((Sorry I have not posted, been having laptop issues and then the guild was all wonky so I was unable to post))
