 Alecto was hanging from the monkey bars, swinging back and forth looking at the world upside down, he looked around at the other freshlings on the playground. His legs were gripping the bar as he moved about his long rainbow colored hair was hanging below him in a long rainbow streak. The soft light of the Bellow reflecting off his pretty giggle. He loved his hair, he giggled watching his hair move as he played on the monkey bars. Alecto normally spent most of his time playing his drums, but even he needed to get out and play once in a while.

 Thalia was excitedly running about the playground. It was beautiful out and she was enjoying the soft light that the below provided. The wonderful twilight! As she ran around, the sounds of someone else's giggles reached her ears. Huh. What could they be so giggly about? Thalia really wanted to know! Stopping her run about, the little hybrid looked around and tried to see if she could spot the giggler! And wouldn't you know! There they were! Hanging from the monkey bars! What was next to catch her attention? Their hair! That amazing rainbow hair! Thalia ran over to them, bouncing as she asked a question. "Can't I play with your hair? Oh pretty pretty please!"

Alecto looked down at the hybrid looking up at him and his hair, he heard their question and said "Dude I never really thought of having my hair any other way but down, or well upside down." Alecto said with a giggle. "What would you want to do to my hair??" He asked curiously. He was wondering what the other freshling wanted to do with his hair, cutting it wasn't happening Alecto would likely let his hair grow way out as he grew older, he wasn't the buzz cut kinda guy. "I'm Alecto" he said warmly "Who are you??" He asked still upside down.

Thalia smiled bright up at the other freshling, lacing her fingers together behind her back as she swayed back and forth, her skirt twisting right along with the motion of her body. "I'd prolly braid it! Or maybe put it up in a ponytail like my momma does for my hair. I could just brush it, too. I know I really like when my hair gets brushed by someone else." Of course, that was when there weren't knots in her hair and she didn't have to worry about them getting yanked on! "I'm Thalia!" she chimed right back at the other freshling, smiling brightly after their introduction, slightly tilting her head to the side as to try and see the world from their view.

Alecto smiled at least she wasn't mentioning anything to do with cutting his hair, he would run away really fast if she had. "Ok." Alecto said cheerfully "Where should be go so you can play with my hair?? I didn't bring a hair brush to the playground." Alecto said in a cheeky tone. "Nice to meet you Thalia." Alecto thought this would be fun, he had never had anyone to do his hair. He knew how to wash and brush his hair, but he had never learned to braid his hair. He had seen other freshlings with braided hair and it looked pretty cute. Alecto wore a skirt with shorts underneath. He thought they were comfortable and no one had ever told him that he had to wear something else so he didn't.

Thalia could have just about jumped out of her skin when Alecto had said she could play with his hair! "We can just go sit down at the table over there!" she said, pointing over to one of the picnic tables the playground offered the children to sit at. Thalia bounced excitedly."Come on down, silly! I could do your hair while you hang upside down, but it would look really goofy when it's done and you get down from the monkey bars!" And when the lack of brush was brought up, all she did was shrug. "No biggy! That's what fingers are for!"

Alecto smiled his upside down smile, he liked others and being happy it was a big part of who he was. So he jumped down to go join Thalia over at the picnic table. "Afterwards we have to find a mirror then!! I've never had my hair braided before." Alecto said. Alecto laughed once he came down "Maybe next time we can take turns doing upside down hair styles might make for funny pictures!!" Alecto said cheerfully. Alecto didn't have many friends so getting to hang out with another freshling was a lot of fun, he didn't mind that it was hair and not music. "So what else do you like doing besides hair??" Alecto asked as he sat down at the picnic table.

Once Alecto came down from the monkey bars, Thalia was more than happy to escort him to the table. She made sure to turn him to face the outside of the table on the seat and hopped up on the table to sit herself down on. "I keep one in my skirt pocket~ You can watch me braid your hair if you want!" Digging into the little pocket where she kept her little mirror, she passed it forward than began running her fingers through his hair. "Ooooooh... Your hair is so soft!" And with that, Thalia began to separate and braid Alecto's hair, wriggling happily as she did so. "I can't believe you've never had anyone braid your hair before! and YES!" she exclaimed! "That would be so silly and fun to do!"

Alecto grabbed for the mirror and squeed "Yes!! I wanna watch!!" He said excited "Dude I've never had my hair done before this rocks, I think some of my favorite drummers have their hair braided!!" Alecto said cheerfully as he tried not to kick his feet. He figured he would just end up with his hair pulled if he did that, but he was really excited. Alecto smiled happily when she complimented his hair. "Yours looks soft too." He said cheerfully as he sat there. "And I really like your cheek markings they are pretty." Alecto frowned "Well I'm an orphan I don't have a family, so I don't have a mom or dad to braid my hair, and never thought to ask one of the caretakers to braid my hair."

Thalia smiled brightly as her mirror was accepted, giving a quick little wave to Alecto as he watched her brain his hair. "Ooooo! What kind of music do you like?" the little hybrid asked curiously. She was using the top of his hair to start, slowly working down the back in a fishtail braid. Soon all his hair was pulled back in a surprisingly decent braid! She wasn't very pro at fishtail braids, but she gave it her best! "I hope you like it! And if you want, I can keep doing your hair for you. I love doing hair after all!" Thalia slid down from behind Alecto and onto the seat beside him, giving a happy nudge as she examined her work with pride!
