For whatever reason, he seemed to think she would be the perfect parent for this child he wanted so desperately. In an attempt to scare him away, she told him about her work, the reasons she couldn't have a child, and again, that she had absolutely no interest.
How was it that he was prepared for that remark? He offered her an item that would come in handy with her business. He often came into contact with such items through his own, not so pleasant, business. It stopped her in her tracks. he was trying to establish a business relationship with her now, but only on the condition that she imbue with him. How ridiculous! She turned him away again. Yet, again and again he came back.
In the end, they did establish a business relationship and she would give him what he wanted so badly. Children. She didn't plan on having anything to do with them and even warned him that he'd better keep them away. Somehow in the end he'd get what he wanted and she'd increase he own business as well. It was honestly a win-win. Still, she had to go purchase soul stones now and find a way to watch over the kids without being a part of their lives....
