Adria was finally getting used to the winter chill--even if he was trying to stay inside on the coldest of evenings. It felt like things were warming up just a bit so he managed to shove himself out of his nice warm room and made his way to the park. He was nearly there when he felt the tingle of an energy signature--another senshi?
It wasn't too far away so he debate for a moment and then headed towards it. He had no reason to be cautious, but being powered up, he always was.
When it felt like he was right on top of the signature, he called out, "Hello? It's a bit lonely tonight, do you mind if I borrow you for company for a bit?"
He hadn't quite located it visually, but he could tell they were nearby. He just hoped they were friendly.

Elpis was only outy so anxiety didn't 'get' her. She still wasn't 100%, not really, after being ambushed by corrupts or the youma that tried to kill her aunt, but she was trying to fight through it any way possible. It just wasn't easy. Still, she was at the park for the night to watch for chaos, and her mind roamed as she studied the city skyline, mind far from the park until a signature caught her attention. It felt like Order, and the super senshi glanced up, blinking before stretching and standing, turnng and walking towards the voice from the direction she sensed the signature in at an idle, leasurely pace, the senshi relaxed a bit having company. "Hello, and I don't mind." She responded, stepping to be seen. "It's safer to be out in groups anyhow. 'Sup?"

"Not much," Adria replied, smiling. He extended his hand in greeting. "I'm Sailor Adria, Senshi of Sunsets. It's nice to meet you."
He was unwilling to allow awkward lapses of silence so tried to be a bit more social than usual. "Sort of empty around here tonight, isn't it? I always get a little suspicious when I don't feel anyone out. It sort of makes me feel like something big is going on and I've been left out."
Not that he was really eager to jump into the battleground or be a part of something like that whole invasion of Negaspace again, but he always expected the worst--the calm before the storm. Seeing another Senshi just brought him a little relief.

Elpis shook his hand calmly, nodding as she shrugged. "Sailor Elpis, Senshi of Metal." Super? She had no idea, the Super generally didn't think it mattered, but who knew. "Well, quiet can be a good thing. It means enemies aren't stirring the pot." Elpis shrugged once more and settled, looking about calmly. "Admittedly I'm a bit relieved. Hectic month or two. You?" Details?... No, not really -- but she preferred to not mention some of it, such as her feelings. Feelings were not easy.

"Unless they're off, carrying out some grand, master plan," Adria sighed. He gave her hand a good shake before he returned his to his pocket. "It's been busy, but...not the worst I've had. I guess I'm sort of getting anxious. Like the pressure you get, when you've got a lot of things going on at once?"
He reached up to comb his fingers through his hair. "And yet, nothing really seems like it's been going out of the ordinary. I haven't had any really bad run ins, and no existential crises. You?"

"There's nothing really going on to draw people in, either. I noticed they like public gatherings." While not awakened during New Years, she'd noticed --it was how she knew her father was Kells after all. And watching people get stolen... Elpis involuntarily shuddered. "They might be biding their time though." Elpis grinned at the hand shake before settling, thinking before grimacing. "My existential crises are mostly having to keep a youma from killing my aunt and finding out a couple friends of mine were corrupted... and evidently their memory is shot, if the beating was any clue." Elpis shuddered, making a face between disgust and anxiety. "Otherwise, I'm... Mostly okay? Rattled if I'm honest."

Adria seemed sympathetic and nodded. "...Rattled sounds about right. I'm sorry about your friends."
He seemed entirely genuine; his face fell and he seemed saddened. It wasn't that he'd ever had a friend that had corrupted, but because he could imagine it--and the loss. It left his own heart throbbing just slightly and he rubbed at it nonchalantly.
"I can only hope they aren't biding their time. It would be nice to think they've simply gotten so weak that they can't fight, but..."
That was a fool's thought.
"...I mean, after the whole Invasion..."
Now, the guilt was stronger. He had been a part of it and, no matter how much had happened that he didn't do, he was still there while others had. He'd focused on saving starseeds, not on fighting.
...But people had died, on all sides, and he'd seen it. It haunted him, still.

"Can't say." Elpis shrugged slowly, sighing. "I know I ended up castleside. There were... Deaths." She wasn't proud, though. Death didn't bring her joy, but it was war, something she'd slowly begun to grow accustomed to, almost numb to. "I doubt they're wiped out. Or happy, even though not all of us..... Wanted to use lethal force." She could hurt, yes -- painfully. But she preferred not to kill. She was rough and bitey and vicious... But a murderer? She tried not to be. ....It was different from the angry, violent woman in the nightmares, the one seeking to take revenge for her aunt's death...... ...A death she'd prevented in present. Perhaps that was the difference. "So, happier topics. Uhm.... You got hobbies?" Hello social awkwatrd old friend, welcome to the field.

Adria's lips remained pursed and he nodded, seeming just slightly despondent. He was still thinking about the invasion, about her answers, when she asked about hobbies and much to his embarrassment it took a good few seconds for the question to actually process.
"'Oh," he snapped quickly. "Yes, I do. I write, a lot. I'm working on something new, now. I'm supposed to be sending it in at the end of the month. I already missed the deadline once, but..." he sighed and shook his head. "They were really understanding. I was sort of in a funk. I don't want to let them down, so I really need to close things up. Uhm--you?" he asked, trying to smile. "What do you do when you're not fighting crime and saving the day?"

"I build computers from home as a business." Elpis said cheerfully. "Different uses for them -- gaming, work, servers -- and I bake. Whatcha writing?" Books? Articles? Reading wasn't a hobby, it was the family lifestyle at times, and it sounded interesting compared.

Adria nodded, apparently interested in her computer business. He seemed a bit sheepish when she asked what he was writing; he quickly cleared his throat. “Oh, you know.”
He shrugged; it was a weak attempt to buy some time. “A little bit of everything,” he finally said. “I like fiction. I like stories that make you think about life in a different way. But I did some journalism too, so I’m not totally just fiction. Poetry is nice when you want to blow off some steam, but I think it’s sort of got a bad reputation so ah,” he laughed lightly. “I don’t talk about that so much. I write everything under a pseudonym because I’m afraid of someone finding out it’s me and making fun of me for it.”
