〘❦〙- Farlock Troubadours -〘❦〙
Originally a Dwarven the name has remained after the many years of this
faction's existence however, as many species now call the troop home, that is
the only tie-back this group has to the Dwarven Kingdom. Nomadic performers
these people make up Si'Riat's gypsy population, many small groups roaming
as caravans and offering unusual work that is otherwise frowned upon by
'reputable' peoples. Imagine Musicians, Artisans, Performers, and all the
wonderful noise and color that comes with them.. Yet with the lively comes the
dark underbelly. Assassins, Alchemists and Thieves with lax morals, even Mages that
ignore the 'Right Way' to use their magic for the right price. The curse of a
Nomad, of one of these 'Farlock Troubadours', is that no matter how free or
exciting their lives may seem they are actually in constant danger. Easy
targets for bandits on the many roads, reliant upon the coin they can earn
from the judgmental villages to feed themselves, and forever ostracized for
their 'heathenish' lifestyles. In times of peril, even if paid properly, a medical
figure or law-keeping soldier may well ignore the pleas of aid from one of
these individuals simply because they are viewed as chaff by the common
populace. Despite their disorganized appearance they do have a structure
of command, the leader being a Dwarven Lady named Tregim who somewhat
'mothers' the rest of the troops and coordinates their migrations as a whole.
Tregim is a NPC character that will only be piloted by VCs or
the Captain when needed. Any number of characters can be a Farlock
Troubadour but if you make one be aware that they are viewed with distaste
and disrespect by many other factions. It just comes with the territory.
The 〘❦〙 Symbol in the area-threads represent Troubadour safe areas,
meeting grounds, or home territories. Obviously anyone NOT a Troubadour in
these areas are at a disadvantage.
