He had woken up just as usual, bored and naked. He was awoken by the sun, causing him to hide himself with his covers. When his eyes opened, he looked into the face of a very happy dragon female, sleeping by his side. He had fallen asleep? He sighed, shaking her slightly. "Leave. You know where I stay, you may visit but once the morning comes, you disgust me" He stated to her without hesitation. She stirred hearing his words, but once he finished, she opened her eyes wide and upset. He looked to her, his eyes a glare and she paused. She gathered her items and he slapped her a** on the way out. She paused again, half between accepting the situation and upset. "Keep your night window open." He stated to her as she left. With that, he was dressed by the staff of the castle. He fixed himself in his long robe, hardly letting it cover his chest as he pulled out his parasoul. He hated the son, changing into this stature he had gained. He sighed, shaking his head to himself as he left to the great hall. He didn't even look to his younger sister who would begin to follow him. My father is so foolish. He sleeps and makes a failure, and doesn't even notice his own sons actions. He makes this too easy He thinks to himself as he makes his way to the market. He drags his greatsword for a moment, but then stops to actually fasten it to his back. "Mil dear, how long will you follow me into the market? I only go for two things" He pauses. "Meat of the dead, and the meat of the woman" He states bluntly. He cares not that she is a child, but more cares that she comes with him. "You are nothing like me. You don't chase men, they chase you, so why do you take after my example?" He states as he walks. They make they market and he asks no more questions. He looks only for meat of the traveling dragon woman, married or not. Many do not like his actions, but he doesn't care. It is not his fault that people will leave their loved ones for him. Many have tried to tie him down, but he thinks of one for a moment. "Thigh or breast?" He asks his sister as he looks over cut bits of chicken. He is going to be making a big breakfast. Why? Just because. If he is not fighting, he is cooking. That is the only things he knows to live for, at-least for now.

Millenia would already be awake before her brother would ever be, she often woke herself up early, usually to go bask in the early sun. On her way back inside, she found herself in the great hall, luckily for her she would soon spot her brother. Seeing him make her smile a bit, her mother was still sleeping. to her best interest and her father was out, and she hadn't hung out with her brother in a long time, so instead of bothering him, she felt like following him, hoping that he wouldn't mind. She followed close by, more accurately a few steps behind him, as she didn't want to risk the chance to lose sight of him. She watched him grab his great sword and adjust it to his back so he could carry it, she then looked to her waist to check for her sword, which she had on her, she looked up at her brother giving him a smile upon his question, almost as if it was a silly question to ask her "I will follow you when your out of the house, I don't care what you're getting; its just we don't get to hang out as much, so I wanted to spend some time with you brother". The way she answered seemed complete honest, she had no reason to lie nor to even trick him. She seemed to pause when her brother asked her another question, she didn't know how to answer that, "I, I um I just don't have any interests in men yet, Mama doesn't want me to do anything with other dragons" she told him, she personally didn't have a real answer to the question. She just followed what her mother told her and because she was so invested in proving herself to the queen she never considered going after anyone. She would remain silent for the rest of the time walking to the chicken. "I wouldn't mind a Thigh, I like the bones, they always have flavor after the meats gone" she said smiling happily as her tail moved back and forth. She would have her eyes staring at the meat almost drooling a little when she saw the meat. "Would you like some help with cooking the chicken?" she asked wondering if he wouldn't mind more time with her.

His sister was innocent, that was something he was glad of, and despised. Dragons were proud, were full of snarkiness and charisma. He wondered if maybe, maybe it was because of her age. He didn't remember being like that when he was young, and even yet he didn't remember being like that. He wanted the taste of a woman and something to fight. This was something he kept with himself everyday, and was pretty sure that he would stay that day until he died. He wondered if he would ever die, and part of him wondered if he was ever truly alive. Her innocence though was very much a nice contrast to his everyday life. He was somewhat amused to have it with him. She just wanted to be with her big brother but he felt disgusted. This family of his? It didn't matter. No interest in the other sex? She was too young, and he was jumping subjects. Woman ran the dragon world, so she needed to step up and yet he didn't want to jump on the adult bandwagon. Their father would have to be a father one day, but for now..."Thigh is a good place to start. You can't always have the breast, or in your case...Well I guess it could still be a male breast or something like that...Neck? You'll find your taste. Who knows" He stated as he shifted through different pieces of meat. Thigh was a good start, but he packed a bit of breast for himself. He knew what he liked. "You're right though" He said with a smile. "Bone always add flavor. Food, or your enemy" He stated with a toothy grin. Once they paid he began to move through the market. "Anything else you want for breakfast?" He asked as he looked through the market. "Want more mother advice before she lets our mother make another mistake?" He said with a laugh. This laugh was true, a genuine feeling of happiness. His hands on the other hand balled to fists for a moment. Lucky he was wearing his gloves or the meat would have exploded in his hands.

Millenia was clearly different from any dragon her age, it may have had to do with either her being a runt, or it could have even had to do with how close she was with their mother for most of their lives. She already knew that her brother was not always open for her being around, and she being the innocent girl that she was didn't know the exact reason but she did everything in her power to try and stay close to him so that he would enjoy her presence. As her brother would go through the different parts of the body using the chicken as the means to name them as he shuffled through them, he would notice that Millenia puffed her cheeks around the point of him mentioning what her taste was, she already assumed he wasn't talking about food. she let her slightly upset reaction slip away as she continued to stare at the chicken, it was delicious enough that it was distracting. Her tail was the main decider of her mood to be known as how it moved tended to show that she as expressing an emotion. "Bones are fun...I like to chew on them until all the flavor is gone...but i've never had an enemy so only you would know about that then right?" she asked him with curious eyes, but as they started moving through the market some more, her nose began to pick up on a smell she enjoyed more than anything, it was Ham, for some reason she loved ham more than anything, as they walked through the market she would tug on her sleeve "Can we get some Ham, it smells incredibly good" she asked him nicely, it was almost like begging him for Ham. Soon she would look at her brother with a confused look, she didn't fully understand what he meant for his choice of words "Huh? I don't get it..." she stated a bit sad she didn't understand, it was clear her brother got it because he said it but he was laughing, and she didn't know why, it was confusing but she asked in hopes that he would explain, if not she would just ignore the whole comment so that she wouldn't want her brother to get annoyed of her questions.

"Our mother makes mistakes just like our father. It is a wonder they are still together" He stated as he looked between items. It was a wonder the two stayed together with how their father made his mistakes. Mil would have his love, but the other...It wouldn't matter. "Ham you say?" He stated back to her as he collected some more meat to add to his collection of what to cook. "Since you asked nicely" He stated with a smile. He kept his parasol high and in the right position to cover himself and still get the items he needed. He picked up a nice ham, weighing it, feeling if it was soft or hard. Could he roast it, jerk it or fry it? He would ask her what she wanted later. "The bones do have more flavor, but it's better from someone you've slain." He stated coldly. While he was known as the most laziest member of the dragon family, he was known for something else..."When you finish off an enemy and taste their dying soul escape their body through their very limbs..." He stated with drool trying to force its way from his mouth. He felt even hungrier now, but for battle. "One day you will learn that the most important taste comes from battle. Your life on the line with your opponents..." He stated, his hand digging into the ham. People watched him and he blew kisses at them. "Now we have to buy this one" He stated with a laugh. "One day in combat, you will know how it feels to truly experience life. Take up to wielding your blade more. One day, you will truly need it" He stated, moving in silence from that moment on.

Millenia played with her hands as her brother spoke but their parents "well...Isn't just customary to being with the one you are in love with...even if they make mistakes...it's what love is for, to forgive...right?" she stated looking back up at her brother. He did seem quite set with the point of view of his, but everyone was different and he was free to feel that way about their parents, he may be one to see the negative, but she always wanted to see the best in people, it was one of her flaws, as the best in people often were not the best choice to believe in, but even though this was the truth she still wanted to see everyone be happy. Millenia just continued to follow her brother, eventually finding their way to where the ham was, she would move closer to the food, she would begin to drool a bit. Ham, it was unknwon even to her why she loved it so much, but it was just so flavorful and she could never get enough of it regardless of hat form it came in. Her eyes would soon go back to her brother as he would measure the Ham in his hand "I've never killed anyone before, and im not that strong, so i dont think anytime soon I will be getting a taste of someone I've slain...though if when you say its the most important taste, then it makes me curious what it tastes like" she confessed. After everything was said she would give a determined look upon her face "I know, One day I hope to prove to everyone That i can be trusted and fight like everyone else" she stated clenching her fists. "I've even been practicing with my sword more so when I do need it I wont fail"

If there was one thing that he would not hold back on, it was their father's actions. Sometimes he held his mother just as responsible, and even still, it was their dad who had been apart of the main problem. Dragons were a race of pride and he could hear others laughing when their older sister came about. It was...Disgusting. "You're right. It's what love is for. To forgive" He repeated to her, one of his gloves slipping off. To forgive He thought as he tapped his hand on a traveling cart. They sold cabbages, and now they would sell nothing as the cart exploded outwards. He said nothing, only continued his way on. If his father had blessed him with anything, it would be a distortion of his own ability. With the items in hand, he tossed them around, feeling their weight for a bit. He had what he had, and breakfast would be nice. "When we get home and eat, we can train." He stated with a smile, his gloves back on. "When you get your first kill, you will truly understand what it's like to be alive" He stated with a genuine smile. "My first kill was..." He paused for a moment, even coming to a stop. The wind picked up as he stared outward for a moment. "A mage...He had called out our race. He was young like me." His voice low. He wasn't here, he was in the moment now. "We were in an old market in one of those neutral cities. I hadn't thought much of it at first, but he wouldn't stop. A town jester of some sort. His name was Baalmel and he practiced dark magic as he called it. He was just practicing illusions and parlor tricks but that's when I was practicing my abilities as well. Told him to meet me...To see the true pride of a dragon on the dueling grounds. He agreed." His eyes began to wonder for a moment. "We met that night, only a small crowd of people. It's like they knew. I was supposed to show pity but he wouldn't mind his tongue, so I cut that out first. With his blood everywhere, I went for his arm next. I won't make it seem like he wasn't good with magic, oh he was well versed in the tomes but..." He stated as he scratched his chest. "He got one good shot in. I raised him off the ground, he stabbed me in the chest and I bit into his neck. He was gamey, chewy. Remember that blood tastes like steel, just like your blade." He stated. coming back to reality. "You never forget your first" He stated as he began his walk back. He remembered the mages face, his smile, his laugh...And then his sister, the only woman he might have ever loved.

ooc: to make up backstory on the spot. leggo.

Millenia just kept following, but she stopped when he exploded a cart full of cabbages. she looked back at her brother who was still walking and the cart, she took a small bow to the owner of the cart as she felt a bit bad he blew it up. she would then move quicker to catch up with her brother, only to look back a bit at the cart. Nathaniel continued to speak, though what got her excited was the idea of training together, most of the time she had to do it alone or ask a knight to help train her. So the very fact that she could train with her brother whom was skilled at fighting, meaning she could learn much more under him than most. "well, then I will wait for my first kill, and then i can learn more about how to be a leader and such" she said with a positive attitude. Listening even further she would notice her brother stopping and recollecting his own story of his first kill. he seemed to be very invested in this memory of his, according to his words it seemed correct, 'you never forget your first'. Based around the idea that he had a clear cut memory about his kill, including who the name of the victim was, Personally to her, she had a hard time imagining herself actually killing anyone for pride or anything, but eventually she would have to kill someone eventually in the future as there was a war going on, so this idea scared her. She was weak and if she had to kill someone she'd struggle but nevertheless she knew she would need to tough up. "So you guys...fought because you both wanted to show off your capabilities?" she asked making sure she heard it correctly. she followed him this time instead of being behind him she would be next to him her arms behind her back looking forward towards where they were walking.

"Yes...We wanted to show off our capabilities, besting the other with our lives on your lines." He stated to her. She was young, she wouldn't understand. She needed time to let the world around her sink in. He let the thoughts enter his mind, the taste of his beloved and the way she screamed. He continued his walk, his hands filled with rage and energy, then he began to laugh it off. That's all he could do, laugh and laugh and laugh. "One day, you'll have your first kill and you wont stop. It will either be because of your doing, or because you are a dragon" He stated as he stopped, turned and petted her like the younger she was. "One day this world is going to change, and then you, like everyone else will make a choice" He stated as he turned. With that, he would say nothing, simply make his way home. She could say what she wanted, but he would hold his responses for later.

ooc: Exit. I'll post in the training grounds later unless you want to post there first.

Millenia just looked up at him "Thats such a weird reason to fight to the death...but to each there own on reasons" she stated smiling. She believed that was the only reason behind the whole killing incident for his first one, she was sure he killed after, as he spoke of it being important of the taste of kill, so she didn't assume he would kill for just fun. Though she was abit concerned with the laughing as it wasn't a matter she considered to be laughable, perhaps it was the way he dealt with killing people. She simply just returned her gaze to where they were walking, only to feel the petting on her head, making her look back up to her brother. "I just hope when I do kill someone, I wont go berserk like I always do when Im in my dragon state" she muttered before shaking off the thought hearing her brother speak again "When it does change I'll make the right decision, so that everyone is happy, and hopefully you can help me make some decisions since you know more than me" she said starting to skip as they made their way back to their home.

Thirteen times and it's been lucky for me
▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁

۞ Coming to the kingdom's markets wasn't an easy task at times for Nerissa. Precaution by her adopted parents were made to keep her shielded from the beams of the sunlight. Her head needed to be shielded by a cloak which adorned her arms and legs as well. It did drag a little on the ground but it wasn't so troublesome. She really wished at times that she didn't have to do this but risking the chance of being burnt alive should be taken seriously.

The residents of this city knew well of the vampire's existence and gave her the proper respect she deserved. She even got some special treatment as the store she was heading to had blood bags that fit to her needs. She was ever so grateful for her father for arranging this. Without his help, she might've died years ago or even go starved crazy for blood.

She probably lost track on how many times she's thanked him despite him knowing fully well on how she felt. Still, it did mean a lot.

Rubbing her hands together, a smile drifted across her face as she walked past the people with some caution. She gave a small nod to a few of them while others merely walked by with just a smile. They weren't afraid of her which made her feel more than comfortable. She felt like she was apart of them despite being a vampire.

She came to a stop at the stall that had the blood bags. Her hand shuffled inside her bag with urgency to get her money out and pay the male behind the counter.

Mei walked with elegance, though none of the regalness, of a princess as she trudged through the marketplace. A piece of meat was already in her mouth but it did not stop her from pausing after every stall and taking in the wondrous sights before her. She seemed curious, but still set on a specific goal, and she hastily shook her head and moved on. She waved happily to other vendors, those whom she had known for quite some time, though she made up her mind not to stop anymore.

Her cornflower blues stopped at a well known vendor for strange commodities, Milos, and she hurriedly went to him. She heard something called apples were sold by him, all the way across the land from Karst, and she was all out of stock. She loved those crisp green things, and she hoped he would have some in stock seeing as she had not cleaned him out in well over three weeks.

Mei was in so much of a hurry that she bumped into a woman already standing there, her eyes falling on the heavily cloaked visage of a pretty woman.

"Oh," she said, not realizing that she should probably apologize to not offend, "hey are you buying stuff from here too? I love this shop! What are you buying?" The curious and aloof girl seemed like a child with her interest, wondering who this strange woman was and why she was cloaked so out in the warm sun. Mei thought everyone liked the sun!

۞ It didn't seem apparent that the vampire hadn't paid much attention to her own surroundings as well. She was so easily distracted with the conversation that started between her friend. He explained to her that the blood bags might decrease in the coming winter but it shouldn't affect her much. She was always careful with what she consumes. Half a bag every two days. That would satisfy her needs.

Straight after her payment went to the clerk, she stumbled a little to the side with that sudden bump from the woman before her. She rubbed her side a little then shook off the sensation of slight adrenaline running through her body.

When she did come to, she looked to the assumed dragon with a slight tilt to her head. "Uh, blood bags." That seemed rather blunt but she can't put it any other way. Plus it did seem rather obvious as the residue of the bag gave off a darkened red colour. The mere pitch of it's glow was enough to make a small hint of red shine from her eyes. The reason behind it was because of her slight hunger to feed soon.

Nerissa wasn't to sure what to say now. This stranger confronted her in an odd fashion which caught her off guard.

The blubbering dragon, her cloak spread out behind her, looked to the vendor before back towards the mystery woman. She hadn't noticed, nor really tried to, the sacks of blood that were littering the man's cart. That must be why people avoided him, Mei thought shallowly as she looked around to see averted eyes. She cocked her head before looking back to the woman, putting out her hand and opening her mouth wide.

"Are your teeth like mine?"
she asked excitedly, pointing toward her sharpened canine that most dragon-kind didn't have in human form. She then made a grandiose gesture with her arms as if to welcome one in for a hug. "Say, can you really taste the difference between blood types? Do your eyes change color?"

It was her last question that was answered as she saw a light sheen of red coming from the darkness of the cloak. The woman's eyes deemed her hungry, and Mei was rather interested.

"Do you need the stock?" she swiftly asked, looking back to the supply the man had. "I don't think he needs it all!" If there was one thing about dragons that wasn't false, it was their concept of money and how they achieved such wealth.
