He was sitting there, freezing his a** off, on a park bench with his arms wrapped about his drawn up legs. He was supposed to be doing this sort of thing, right? Going out looking like this - right? He knew there was more to it, she had told him, but it had been soo much to take in and he'd sort of drifted when she'd been talking. it wasn't just that he'd been drifting off mentally but he'd been in shock from what had happened and he'd been in a rush as he'd needed to get back to campus.
He knew there was more, a lot more, but he honestly was clueless and it wasn't her fault. He couldn't even remember her name, though he did remember what she looked like. Hopefully, maybe, he'd run in to her again and he could ask her to remind him of everything again? Would she be mad though...she would have to take the time to explain it all to him again...and some people didn't like that sort of thing. She would likely think less of him.
Biting down on his bottom lip, shivering from the cold, his slipper covered toes curled as much as the slippers would allow. Ducking his head, pressing his forehead to his knees, he made a low whining sound as he sniffed once. The cold always made his nose run a bit, which resulted in him sniffling a lot, and he wanted to hide it.

Remarque was out, every evening, and every evening seemed to result in the same thing. Gather energy, maybe talk. Nobody fought him anymore, and a part of him missed those days. He had to be diplomatic now, for the good of the Court, but oh, how he missed the rush of a good fight.
He was mulling over it, scanning the nearby area for any energy signatures, when he found something better than an overzealous Negaverse agent, or any other Senshi or Knight foolish enough to fight with him.
It was a Dark Mirror Senshi.
While he was always out, talking to them and doing what he could to assist, it was rare that he felt one out these days. Naturally, the Eternal Senshi was immediately interested and made his way towards it.
He wasn't a fan of the cold, himself, and in a way he pitied the Senshi sitting on the bench.
His first thought was to take him somewhere warmer--maybe even Mirrorspace--until he thawed out a bit.
He cleared his throat from nearby and casually walked towards the Senshi. "...You can bring a coat, you know. Sort of ruins the Senshi aesthetics and all, but there's no point in staying out if you're miserable."

Lifting his head, blinking dark eyes, he had felt something and assumed it was like the female who had brought him into this...life? Or should he consider it a life style? He really wasn't sure. But the signature felt the same so when it wasn't her he was surprised. Maybe she had mentioned something about this the other night, people who felt like her but weren't her. He honestly didn't remember a thing she'd said. Either way someone was here and talking to him.
"I-I didn't know..." Dark eyes looked guilty, figuring it was something he should have known but didn't. Shivering again he bit down on his bottom lip and stared at the other. "W-who are you?" Slowly unfolding his legs and standing, arms about himself to try and keep some warmth and keep some of the cold out.
"I should have paid attention to her the other night...but I was in a rush and tired.." And he felt guilty for it, he wouldn't be freezing if he had...right?

Remarque paused and tilted his head.
Oh, he was new. And apparently painfully uneducated.
"I see."
He didn't seem upset, only like he was taking things in. A second later, he crossed the distance between the two of them and extended a hand. "I'm Remarque. Dark Mirror Senshi of Puppetry. Also, Prince, but we'll get into that another time. I take it you've got questions, so let me make sure you know what you've gotten yourself into before you get yourself hurt. I'll take you to Mirrorspace--Have you been? At the very least, it's warmer there. Safer, too. "
His hand was still extended in casual greeting.
"I take it you at least managed to figure out your name and sphere, right?"

"A cat was there, she said Kiuchi was the name I had and sphere - Gorgon's. That's like medusa." That was about all he really remembered having been said, he'd sort of been too tired, shocked, and just not at all focused for various reasons. He really should have been, at least it seemed that way.
"A prince..?" He finally focused on that bit of the others introduction, finally realized how odd that was. Had that been mentioned by the female? Biting down on his bottom lip, a nervous habit of his, he looked the other over before shaking his head. "N-no...I actually really had to run...I was running late to get back to campus and there is a curfew." So he'd missed a lot, he'd been too nervous over getting back at a decent time, even though he was going to be late anyway.
"Warmer would be nice...it's cold out..." As if to prove that he shivered again, he really didn't deal well with cold not that he ever really had.

Remarque shrugged at the title. He could go into the whole 'prince' thing later; right now he just wanted to make sure Kiuchi knew what he had gotten himself into. "Come on," he said, gesturing for the male to follow him to the nearest mirror. It was only a few yards away, hidden carefully, but making his job incredibly easy. He held out a hand for the senshi.
"Mirrorspace is through a mirror. When you get a little stronger, you'll be able to stop in Mirrorspace--but for now, you can travel through mirrors. It takes a bit of energy, but all you have to do is step up to the mirror, imagine the mirror you want to step out of, and walk."
He held out his free hand to touch the surface of the mirror, allowing it to ripple beneath his fingertips. "It feels like jumping through water. Are you ready?" he asked, giving the other male a second to collect himself. He did not entirely wait for an answer; instead, he took his wrist and pulled him through.
The transition was quick and painless--a bit cool, but no different than a quick jump in the pool.
The temperature was immediately warmer; there was no wind, no snow--just the white, smokey walls of Mirrorspace.

For a moment he hesitated, dark eyes moving between the others eyes and the offered hand, finally though he took the others hand. Listening to the other he had a few questions, though he was sure he should have more, and decided to voice them.
"And do I just...step on the mirror...or how? I mean won't it break?" Under his weight, slight as it was, a mirror especially a small one should break - right? "But this is like...Alice in Wonderland...." At leas the going through a mirror thing. But stopping inside a mirror? What would even be there? He really could come up with a load of different ideas, all based on books, tv shows, games online, and all kinds of other places. "What's inside of a mirror anyway? I mean you said stopping...inside a mirror - between mirrors..." but what would even be there? He knew he couldn't do it yet, the other had just said as much, but even so when the time came could he live there away from his family? Could he hide himself away from the world there?
He didn't have a lot of friends...he could live away from them all and not contact them. He could walk about, maybe, and sleep and he'd be fine. He'd need food and a few other basic needs but he was sure if it was possible he could do it and live inside the space between mirrors. Was it possible though? Could he just escape the world?
Broken from his thoughts he looked at the mirror and noted the ripple, and the others words, and nodded his head. Shuddering at the odd feel, a little off putting at first but not unpleasant, and took the time to look around. It had been cool coming through but it was warm now - it was nice. He could enjoy this place.
Turning his head this way and that, looking for signs of anything else or even anyone else he saw nothing, sadly. "Can objects be brought in here?" Specifically his bed, he didn't say that part though. "And left here?" Like his bed...bedding...pillows. If he could stay here this was a new bedroom for him.
"Is it different between mirrors. If I go from this one to another vs. I go through the one in my room and one in school would the area be different.." Would things be lost if he didn't go through and enter the same way, only accessible if he went through the same entrance...like a door to a room...did it need to b the same door to get to the same room? Maybe his questions were a bit odd, and bit pointed and directed to something, but he had a very specific thing in mind and he was trying to ask without asking. He just hoped the other didn't catch on.Kyuseisha no Hikari Oh pls, Rem catch on. he's being very odd and curious....and cute.

"The mirrors don't break for Dark Mirror Senshi--it's a gift, for us. Just think of every mirror you see as a door. Provided, only, that it's big enough to step through. Can't make it through. You can bring things with you, if you want--but truth be told, Mirrorspace is an unpredictable place. When you get stronger, you'll be able to summon things that you need, though."
He gestured to an empty space and a table and two milky white, ornate chairs appeared. "Takes practice, but you'll get the hang of it. All mirrors lead here, to this room. You can leave into any mirror you can clearly visualize, though."
He glanced at the senshi somewhat inquisitively; he often got a lot of questions from new senshi, but none quite like this. He prompted, "What sorts of things are you looking to bring here?"

Big enough to step though....so like a compact someone would use to do make up was too small? The part that really got his attention though was that he could bring things with him..and even summon things, when stronger, So he could bring things, a lot of things, and when he was stronger he could bring them to himself in mirror space? That sounded a lot like he could make a room of sorts for himself, at least in his mind, and that was appealing.
Chairs and a table...so someone had brought them here, likely the older male, and could summon them. "Could a room, or several items be summoned? Once they are in here?" He asked before biting on his bottom lip at the others question.
"A bed...bedding..." So he could get away from his home when he wasn't in school, so he didn't need to be in the same house as the two other people who lived there. Though he did wonder if mirror space could somehow get the internet...if it could get wireless service. If so his phone could work then inside mirror space and maybe a laptop at least?
"It would be good to know...in case someone needs to sleep and isn't able to where they are for whatever reason - noisy siblings or something else." He said not wanting to let on to just why he was asking such a question and just why his answer was what it was. His mother and her wife would surely notice if his bed, and everything on it, went missing but if he was never home they'd never be able to ask him about it....it was promising really. Moving over to the chairs he sat himself down slowly drawing his long, slender, legs up and holding them in place as he watched the other.

Remarque raised a brow again. "These are summoned with your imagination. You think of a need, and Mirrorspace makes sure you get it. It just takes some more power to harness the ability. I wouldn't recommend trying to make a room, or staying in Mirrorspace for a long period of time. It's one thing if you're awake, if you can watch it changing around you, but I don't know if you'd be able to keep your focus for long enough to sleep here."
He was still watching the senshi across from him, and while he was trying to read him, his expression had already softened. "If someone needed a place to sleep, for whatever reasons--noisy siblings or something else--they should just let me know. I get good rates from a hotel in town, short term and long term." He shrugged. "I call him in to let him know when we've got some interesting things in stock. He's an antique enthusiast, with a taste for old books and oddities."
He could go on about unimportant details, so he figured he'd ask the important question: "You need a place to stay?"

So he couldn't do what he had wanted, and he had such hope. It felt like something had been sort of..crushed. It hurt though it was a hurt he was familiar with, though this was to a lesser extent than such feelings felt in the past. He sort of glanced about. So it was from the others imagination the chairs and table..and yet it was solid. So how? It was interesting but if he couldn't hold it long enough to sleep than it wasn't as useful as he'd have liked, though it still was useful.
He wasn't expecting the other to continue, hinting that he knew the other had an issue and offering him help. He wanted, for a single moment, to butt in and just tell the other he was still in high school and couldn't possibly manage a job as well, especially at the school he was attending.
Biting down on his lip he lifted his shoulders before letting them drop. "Right now I'm at Romano's...I had to get out of the house. With chores there being a thing it wouldn't make sense to stay living at home. I'd never be on time to get things done at school. But when schools out..." Letting his chin rest atop his knees he let his dark eyes focus on the other and remain there.
"My mother hasn't been my mother in years. I think she hates me...wrong gender...wrong nationality...wrong everything. Her wife is just as bad if not worse." How to explain it and not risk offending the other if he was like them, because he didn't know and he didn't want to upset someone else. As he sat there silent, looking like he wanted and maybe even needed to say more, he was thinking and hesitant.

"Romano's?" Remarque asked, nose wrinkling. "Isn't that place a military school?"
He was long since out of high school himself, but with a small child...yeah. He'd looked into a few things.
Still, he couldn't imagine wanting to go to a military school just to escape your family. He loved his mother.
But then. If he'd been stuck with his father, maybe things would have been a different story.
He didn't really linger on the thought.
"If you like Romano's, that's one thing, but if you're only there to get away from parents you don't get along with, look into something else. You should go to the school you want to go to. If your parents are giving you a hard time," he shrugged. "...If you need a place to stay, I'll make it happen, but you have to be upfront about it. It won't be glorious--but I can get you a room of your own. No electric bill, water bill, lawn service fee, homeowner's insurance--and a complimentary breakfast. Pretty close to some of the schools, if you were thinking about switching."
He was partly baiting for more information, but was fully earnest.
He'd do anything to make sure this Court survived; they were to few in numbers and he was desperate not to let them fall apart. A fresh start would have been simple with a side swap--and with the Court's numbers dwindling, he'd have done anything to see that the option never had the opportunity to tempt this kid.

Quick to nod his head he ran his fingers through his hair. "Yeah. Saved me from having to go home though." And he'd rather deal with a military school than going home, or being expected to. He knew if he didn't go home, and had no excuse, someone would turn up at the school and he didn't need that. It had happened once at Azure High. He'd been avoiding them for a week and a half when the step witch had turned up and almost literally dragged him out to go home for dinner - his mother missed him. At least at Romano's they wouldn't do that, he was fairly certain they couldn't do that there as well.
"Mother made me go to Azure high, for the education there. I hated it there...and while it's a boarding school you can go home - they took advantage of that. I was expected home more than I wanted to go. I was even pulled out one evening to go home for dinner. They can't do that at Romano's...it's safer..." He didn't have to feel like he did at home, even if he didn't like the school so much. It was better than home.
It wasn't that he was abused, at least not physically, but emotional abuse he found could be worse in some cases. He had learned that well over the years and rather than fight against it he hide from it, let it happen and avoided as much as he could. He couldn't fight his mother, the memories of how close they'd once been kept him from it. It kept him from talking to her, confronting her, he also didn't want to find out that she wouldn't change - didn't care. That was more than he could handle and somewhere in the back of his mind he knew that...knew not to push or she's show her true colors.
"Y-you're sure?" He asked surprised but the smile he gave the older showed that he liked the idea. It appealed to him in so many ways. He could go to school where he wanted...be away from his mother and the harpy who wanted to be his mother, like hell he'd ever let her adopt him, and he could learn slowly how to live on his own. It would be a life lesson he needed, learning how to live on his own and do things for himself.
"I'll take it, if you mean it." Nodding his head to follow the words up. He could figure out a school if he needed to, though he did graduate this year He could get a job if he had to as well, to cover food costs and such...he just needed to get applications...but what if a resume was needed? He didn't have one - no past work experience. But would they expect one from him? He was only seventeen.
"I-I'll get a job." He added in then.

"Wouldn't offer it if I didn't mean it," Remarque replied. He seemed to be considering a few other things and, while he held onto what Kiuchi had been talking about, he couldn't help but ask, "How old are you?"
Kiuchi didn't look like he was young, but looks could be deceiving--especially while powered up. Looking after a sixteen year old was one thing, but a fourteen year old? That could get messy and Remarque didn't want to deal with legal troubles.
He just wanted to make sure the Court had the resources to survive, and at this point he was desperate.

"Seventeen." He answered without hesitation. He was a high school student, he'd made that clear when mentioning what school he attended, so there wasn't much to hide. He'd be out of high school soon enough...he had a year to go. "Why? I'm of age to get a job." Though he never had, he was honestly too lazy to and also didn't want to deal with all the issue which would come up from his mother and her wife.
"Is that a problem...?" He asked, unsure and starting to show just how he was feeling. If the picking at the bottom of his clothing was any indication. He certainly wasn't one with much self confidence and was nervous, uncertain, and hoping something wasn't suddenly wrong now.
"I mean if it is that's ok. I can handle things." He had been thus far, he could continue. He'd just stay at Romano's and once he was done there, once he graduated, he'd figure something out. He wasn't sure what but he would...even if in the end it meant returning home. He would do survive.
